It's Thursday, and that mean new games from the Epic Store! This week we have a collection of classic sci-fi strategy games and a first person shooter with some unique spins on the genre. Let's get into it!
Homeworld Remastered Collection
Take control of massive fleets of starships in these classic RTS games. You'll need to coordinate your armada in order to overwhelm your opponent across over 30 missions. The collection features the first two Homeworld games, remasters of both, and a multiplayer component to go up against your friends or random strangers online.
Severed Steel
An FPS with parkour elements and a destructible environment where you only have one arm, the other being replaced by a portable cannon. Since you need a hand, reloading is not an option, so you'll have to keep changing weapons when you run out of ammo. The game also features a level editor so you can make your own maps or play those created by others.
What do you think of this week's games? What other titles would you like to see given for free? Let us know in the comments below! We'll see you next Thursday with Bloons TD6 and Loop Hero.
Comments
Severed Steel's gameplay embraces what I always considered a weird design choice with Samus' power armor: her one hand/arm is completely taken up by her signature blaster/missile launcher. That must be a huge pain in the ass to both wield and to accomplish other things like typing at a console.
Maybe it's removable, so she can put on a different arm when she needs to do daily tasks. But you'd never see that in the game, since the game is all about fighting (I assume).
