Yup, it's official: Sylvanas Windrunner is coming to Warcraft Rumble today. This marks Sylvanas' fifth distinct game appearance, having also starred in Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. For someone who, canonically, is currently stuck in the Maw mopping up Night Elf souls, she sure gets around!

Warcraft Rumble is still pretty fresh, considering its official release is actually going to be during Blizzcon, but it's already been out for long enough that Season 1 starts today. Sylvanas can be obtained from the Guild Warchest or through PvP as a reward, and she'll pop up in the store twice. Here's her stats:

  • Gold Cost: 6
  • Bowshot (Base Ability): Baseline attack is a ranged, single target, physical damage.
  • Haunt (Base Ability): On death, Sylvanas summons a Banshee unit which operates just like a normal Banshee.
  • Windrunner Warchief (Leader Ability, Passive): Horde and Undead minis near Sylvanas gain a movement speed boost.
  • Black Arrow (Talent): Pierce through enemies in a line, dealing Elemental damage.
  • Banshee's Wail (Talent): Scream on Death, Stunning nearby enemies for 3 seconds.
  • Forsaken Fury (Talent): Horde and Undead near Sylvanas gain Fury.

If you're wondering which era of Sylvanas this is, she most matches the Battle for Azeroth point in time, before she revealed her fancy Death-infused powers at the mid-expansion point. It's interesting to note how different her Black Arrow talent is from her Warcraft III version of the same skill, which is an auto-cast damage bonus ability that summons skeleton minions when the target dies under its effect. Where are the skeletons, Rumble?!

Collect the new playable Leader, Sylvanas Windrunner, during Season 1 of Warcraft Rumble beginning October 28 from the Guild Warchest and through PvP as a reward.

Take note that this Leader won’t be available in the G.R.I.D until Season 2. Don't worry though, you’ll be able to add her to your collection of Leaders through the Guild Warchest, PvP, or two additional Store offers— one at the start of the season and another at the end of the season.
