It's that time again; No Man's Sky's thirteenth expansion, Adrift, is out now!

The new expansion allows players to experience the game all alone. What that means is there won't be any other lifeforms. No shops, no trading, no shortcuts - no help! It creates a very different survival experience in this alternate universe and brings the game back to its roots when on launch, it was a very different game and you truly were alone; A galaxy that has been abandoned.

Adrift was origrinally expected to be just an expedition, which is a special limited-time mode set at a specific point in time in the universe, allowing the entire community to experience a "shared journey". It turned into a big update though with improvements, unique content, and a fresh set of rewards. Which, yes, your rewards earned can be redeemed across all your save games, so you can either choose to jump into it aboard the Space Anomaly in your current save or you can go and create a brand new game.

On the rewards side of things, we've got new posters, stealth paint jobs, a new scrapyard aesthetic for base building, the "Ship of the Damned" frigate, and the Iron Vulture high-capacity hauler ship.

The expansion has also adds plenty of new ship customization options, which further adds onto the last big update to No Man's Sky. Speaking of updates, the team isn't done yet for the year and we can expect "much more planned for 2024" which is great to see the game continuing to get support. Check out the brief patch notes down below and we'll not see you all in-game.

No Man's Sky Adrift is live on all platforms.
