So you've got the gist of how DC Dual Force is played and you decided it's time to build your first deck but you don't know how. Well, you've come to the right place! In this guide we'll go over how packs are structured in the game, breaking down their content, and take a look at the collection and deck-building interfaces. Let's get into it!

Table of Contents

    Packs

You can't build a deck without cards, and you need to buy packs to get cards. Packs can be purchased in the shop either for 2000 Coins (which you can get from playing the game) or for 150 Gems (which you buy with real money). You'll also get packs from the Membership tracks (this game's battle pass, see further down) or from various bundles.

Various amounts of packs you can buy

Packs contain 5 cards, ranging from Common to Ultimate, with at least one of them being Rare. You can press on the question mark in the top-left side of the pack to see the exact drop rates depending on a card's rarity. You can also see the cards you can get from the pack, as well as individual drop rates for each card. There is no pity timer for rarities.

    Typical contents of a pack

You can see the drop rates for every type of cards, as well as individual cards.

You have a 4% chance to get a Leader in your pack, but they work a little differently. Instead of just getting the Leader, you get what's called a Leader Pack. This contains the Leader itself, between 3 and 6 other cards of various rarities from the same faction (with higher drop rate for rarer cards) and two more regular packs.

Sometimes you get Leader Packs in your regular packs.

Yo, Bats, I heard you like packs, so I put packs in your packs!

    Mini Sets

Aside from packs, there's mini-sets. Those are sets of 19 unique cards that you can just purchase as they are for 500 Gems, no packs involved, but you can't buy them for Coins. Current mini sets include a Leader and two copies each of 3 Super Rares, 3 Rares, and 3 Commons. The mini sets the game launched with are centered around Green Arrow and Shazam.

    Memberships

Those are basically the game's battle pass. There are two kinds of memberships, Silver, which are offered to all players, and Gold, which you can get by paying 10 USD per month.

The Silver membership offers you a selection of comics (single-player missions that adapt actual DC comics into the game) and a number of basic daily rewards.

The Gold membership offers access to the entire backlog of comics, exclusive promo card, better daily rewards than the Silver version, and 10 extra packs.

    Collection

This is where you'll be able to make new decks and see your existing cards. There's no way to break down your existing cards and make new ones as of writing this guide, but it should come in the future.

Below is the Collection screen. The Decks tab allows you to create a new deck or edit, import and delete existing ones. The Leaders and Cards tab allows you to browse the cards you have. They're almost identical to what you see in the Deckbuilder screen, so we'll skip them here. The Cosmetic tab allows you to browse various cosmetics.

    The Collection screen

In the left-most two thirds of the screen are your decks and some ways to filter the. You can search for your decks with the search bar or filter your decks by faction in the top row. You can also create a new deck with the + New Deck button here. Below that you have all your current decks, up to 20.

The right third of the screen gives you a quick breakdown of your selected deck. At the top you have the two Leaders of your deck and the deck's name. Then you have the card back and the side-panels (comic panels next to the game board you can scroll) that the deck uses.

Below that are the slots for your emotes, and finally 3 buttons. The red X to the left will delete the deck that's selected, the Edit button will take you to the Deckbuilder to change your deck, and the left button will import a deck you have saved in your clipboard and take you to edit your deck.

    Deckbuilder

Once you get into the Deckbuilder screen, you'll be able to build your deck. Once more, the left-most two thirds of the screen will show you your cards. You choose two leaders and drag & drop them in the dedicated spots on the right. The leaders you choose will impact what kind of cards you can have in your deck, so choose wisely.

    Pick your Leaders

Once you click on Confirm, you'll be brought to the deck section. Here, you'll need to add exactly 20 cards from each Faction, no more, no less, up to 2 copies per card. The Deckbuilder will show you how many cards you've added for each, and you won't be able to add more after reaching the limit.

    Putting cards in your deck

Right below your deck you have 3 buttons. The first one, with the 3 lines, will bring up a handy chart, showing a breakdown of the cards by cost and card type. You'll want to be extra careful with your curve in this game, as you're normally not allowed to play Silver cards until turn 3, Gold cards until turn 5, and even then you'll only be able to play one Gold per turn.

Your resource curve should have a downward slope

The one that says "Save & Exit" will save your deck and bring you back to the collection screen. Lastly, the right-most button will export the deck code to your clipboard so you can share your deck.
