Darkest Hour 2.0 is indeed better. Add two Demonic Studies to your list to pull off the combo earlier.
do you maybe have an half decent deck list for that?
I found this one on twitter and it works well enough for me:

After playing it in ranked its very fun and catches people way off guard. If you get a highroll, the only thing to stop you from winning is the animation. Regardless, I was consistently doing it on turn 7/8 which is still too slow in wild a lot of the time
the animations kill the deck. u fail more often than not, cause it takes so much time to go through the animations u cant play the combo to the very end
It's great, but I guess it's too slow. Stealer of Souls is 4 Mana, Plot Twist 2. So the earliest you can do is turn 6. You're dead by then imho. But I'll try, looks fun.
By virtue of being a 6 card combo I do not think this deck will be successful, however I will definitely try it because I love mecha'thun. +1.
This is not a 6 card combo. The point is to play stealer + plot twist and then draw your entire deck from there.
This combo might be a bit hard to play frequently. But the Stealer + Plot Twist = Swap full hand = High chance to get and play Ilusionist for health instead of mana = Play Ilusionist and lose 3 health = Your're now able to spam all (at least 5) big threats you have in your hand for free (preferably strong battlycry or deathrattle minions) combo seems quite easy to realise. You only need to survive till turn 6 of 5 with the coin.
The idea is great, but the potential to completely whiff if you do the Plot Twist combo turn early to make the Illusionist, Mecha'thun, and Cataclysm cost HP instead of Mana is too high. Technically you only need the Mecha'thun to be converted to costing HP though, so... maybe not as difficult? But it'll still all depend on how fast you can draw through your deck and play a set up turn without dying. To guarantee hitting the right card(s) on the set up you'd need to play Stealer+Twist when your deck is empty or damn close. Given how fast Wild is, especially things like APM Mage right now, you're dead before you can get that guarantee. So you go early with no guarantee of hitting all the combo pieces and hope to high roll. And if you do high roll, you just hope to survive until your deck is empty.
Again, great idea! But until I can see it in action I would doubt the deck's ability to completely break Wild.
TOUYOWYECOYBWOCUIBWNEORUCBWPQP This is such a good idea, I knew this would be good but Mecha'thun didn't even cross my mind!
