This deck was inspired by a completely random comment I saw in a twitch chat, about Tahm Kench and Troll Gifts. I took that concept and just ran with it.
Disclaimer - I have not tested this in ranked yet. I'm happy with my masters LP at the moment, and I don't want to risk it by playing weird decks until after the qualification for the tournament is finished in a week.
With that out of the way, I have played against a variety of reasonably-competitive decks in normal mode, and this deck is surprisingly good, even against aggro. The key cards are ... well ... kind of most of them honestly. But Braum, The Scargrounds, Tahm Kench, and Troll Gifts are the heart of the deck. Giving Tahm Kench tough and regeneration is absurdly good. It's a dream come true for him. Just sit on the bench and eat to his heart's content. Let other people do the fighting.
For Braum, he already has regen, so we can buff him with Troll Gifts, or if we get Scargrounds down, he just naturally buffs up every time he challenges something and lives. Of course, we do need ways to damage our units, and it's always good to draw cards, so that's why we have Fortune Croaker. The rest of the self-damage comes from Ember Maiden and Tarkaz the Tribeless (who is also a massive blocking body). Finishing power comes from Scarmother Vrynna. Tavernkeeper provides some healing to help against aggro. Ruthless Raider is already tough, and has overwhelm, so she's just a good 2-drop to contest the board. I haven't actually tested Hired Gun yet, but she's an early body with good stats who has a potentially fantastic effect - she's replacing Bloodsworn Pledge, which was underperforming.
As for the ability to really stand up against aggro, the key tools are Brittle Steel and Troll Chant. These will allow you to make extremely good trades. Brittle Steel and Flash Freeze are also extremely good for letting Kench chomp dudes for free. Side note: don't try to chomp ephemeral units with Kench - they die when they strike him, so he can't eat them.
This has been very fun to test so far, and it seems like a really good deck concept. I think the only thing that would really wreck it is The Ruination.
