When Does Empires of the Ascended Release?
Empires of the Ascended is scheduled to be released March 3rd, 2021. This is a little different than what was previously announced because the original plan was to have expansions in February, April, and June.
What is the Empires of the Ascended Event Pass?
Riot has announced that Empires of the Ascended will have an Event Pass, but they haven't provided any additional details. We have seen Event Passes in the past for the Spirit Blossom and K/DA All Out events, but this will be the first time we've seen an Event Pass tied to an expansion. The Spirit Blossom and K/DA events had a special time-limited reward route that awarded cards, exclusive cosmetics, and crafting resources; however 2/3rds of those rewards were locked as "premium". Players had the option to purchase an Event Pass for 975 Coins (roughly $10 USD) which would unlock all those premium rewards or participating for free but only receiving 33% of the possible rewards. Both the Spirit Blossom and K/DA All Out events lasted exactly 28 days (4 weeks).
How Many Cards Are In Empires of the Ascended?

It's arguably the biggest expansion so far, not only do we get new cards and region but also mastery system and an event similar to Spirit Blossom (not much info about it yet though).
Shurima has always been my favourite region from LoL, so this set is very exciting for me. Judging from what we've seen we already know we're getting Renekton, Azir, and Nasus as champions, but I'm interested to see who else we get. I'd love to see Amumu, Skarner, and Xerath as well.
