Am I the only one who has to watch the loading screen for an hour before it opens? The game seems to be stuck on "Checking for Updates" forever. Does anyone else have the same problem or is it just me?

I've never run into this issue myself, but I also just use the standalone program instead of the Epic Games Launcher. I have had issues in the past where the launcher gets stuck at different parts of it loading though, which might be the same type of issue. When that happens, I just close it down and try relaunching and usually it does the trick.
Sits on the loader for about 5 minutes for me. Also about every week or two it 'patches' but it re-downloads the entire game for the patch. I don't know if it's the most inefficient patches ever if it's a bug.
I had the same problem the other day as well - I find the game doesn't run quite as smoothly as I'd like sometimes, more disconnections than other games, and occasionally I get some hesitancy when I play spells, where it waits a moment, then does what it's supposed to do.
I solved it by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. But as @OldenGolden I also find the game laggy every first game of the day and some disconnections here and there. They must have a server problem
