The door scratched. Who was it? It couldn't be a dog, we didn't have one. Slowly, a strong stench climbed from through the door. The sound stopped before it scraped along it. It tugged on the door knob and we watched it turn. Her battered body, her bloody dress, her mutilated face. Her flesh clung onto her sodden frame as she stumbled in and rubbed her eyes.
