Dear Sir,
It is with deepest sympathy that I write to tell you of your daughter’s passing. Lenka was a soldier brave and true, and her last thoughts were of her country and your pride in her service. Your daughter was part of my squad from the earliest days of our training, and I considered her a friend as well as a sister-in-arms. I still smile at the memory of your daughter “accidentally” dropping a car on the latrines the day we were assigned to clean them. It was an honor to know her.
