Lore

Eris was present at some meeting where Magpyre planners were discussing strategy, when she got bored or otherwise didn't want to be there. She started idly whistling a meandering tune with no discernible pattern, softly at first... Those present started losing track of what they were talking about; Some even started hallucinating or falling asleep. Needless to say the meeting was adjourned, but one of the techs was recording the minutes that day, so R&D got its hands on the file.
