What Are You Playing? - February 2024

After recently fully finishing all of RCT1 last month, I'm now on my way to doing the same for RCT2.

Here's Factory Capers and I'm about halfway done with the time limit and I've already beaten the guest requirement of 1100.

  • Hey! This came out fast! Nice to see your progress with RCT2, such a great game.

     

    Yesterday I finished getting all achivements for God of War on PC (such an amazing game) and was about to start Doom Eternal tonight if possible. Other than that, I do not have that many plans right now because I am getting married tomorrow and was way too focused on that and work so I could get some extra days of free time. I guess I will do every Pokemon Scarlet Raid (This time with Empoleon it will happen on the repeat I think) and Keep playing hearthstone and Pokemon masters on mobile and Chivalry 2 on PC (started playing it last week and it is really good! Did not expect such an upgrade from the first one).

     

    Also I think the previously PS exclusive content from hogwarts legacy is coming to pc soon so I might check it out.

     

     

     

  • Palworld.

    That about sums up what I'd like to play this month. I've got a few titles in the backlog I need to find some time to write some reviews for but for the pure enjoyment factor, Palworld is likely going to be it. Valentines in World of Warcraft also means I'll catch some time there, but I just want to focus on beating my favourite Pokeclones right now.

I don't know but knowing you have such a special day today just makes me smile all over the place so thanks for that :-)

     

    Gamingwise no news from my side, I still haven't cleaned up God of War Ragnarok after having finished the main story a month ago. I'm busy playing Hearthstone and reading books, but I'm still pondering my next big game... It will either be Horizon: Forbidden West or Diablo IV, depending on if I want to go with old reliable or try something completely new.

  • Congratulations, Lemushki! You probably won't see this 'cause you're busy, but I wanted to say it anyway hehe :)

    I did a naughty thing and reinstalled Marvel Snap. I originally quit the game because it was too expensive and I sometimes have low impulsive control, which is a bad mix, but the game is just too fun. I genuinely enjoy it more than Hearthstone, so perhaps I'll finally give Hearthstone the boot and save money that way. Apart from those two, I've played a lot of Roboquest on my Steam Deck. As I noted in my review, the game is just really fast and fun FPS action, although I forgot to mention that there is a demo on Steam for anyone interested in checking it out!

    Moving into February, rumor has it that Elden Ring's DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will finally see the light of day this month; perhaps as a second-anniversary deal. I will definitely buy it, using the new content as a push to finally finish the game lol. Later in the month is my birthday, and I'm guessing one of my gifts will be Marvel's Spider-Man 2 for the PS5 - definitely gonna play that too. Beyond that, who knows: maybe I'll finally finish Baldur's Gate III, or play Sea of Stars. Or I could pivot and buy something new like Lies of P.

    Since I'm going to be in Africa for the next 27 months, don't think I'm gonna be able to get much video games in so I'mma stretch the intentions of this thread a bit hehe. Brought a couple decks of cards here (Ghana) and it's been a very neat experience. The people here, for whatever reason, mostly only know one card game called Spar. So been playing a bunch of that and slowly teaching people in my village how to play other card games like Texas Hold em or Tycoon. Don't know if any of you have like, board game nights/friends to play something like Tabletop Simulator, but definitely would recommend trying out Spar for just how quick and easy to learn it is to play. To say its popular here would be a huge understatement (I'm trying to google the rules to link it but my internets really chugging right now and not cooperating sorry D:). There's also this weird like, Sorry!-esque board game I've been playing but I don't have the foggiest clue what to call it nor all the rules to describe it, but that one's fun too.

    Oh, and I guess I also still have Marvel Snap on my phone and still trying to somewhat keep up with it. Been playing probably the worst deck ever conceived of just every conditional 10 power card and Skaar and just preying on the fact nobody expects the 3rd/4th 10 power 4 drop. Don't recommend trying it if you want to rank but winning with proper garbage like Attuma has been pretty fun.

    I suppose these "What Are You Playing" threads technically never specified that the games had to be video games, haha. It'd be very funny if you taught the people there how to play Magic while you're at it with teaching them other card games.

  • Hey anchorm4n, linkblade91 and Echo! <3 Thank you very much, had a wonderfull weekend and now I am back at normal day to day life now that the atendees are gone. At least until the Honeymoon.

     

    As for gaming I was able to end that Empoleon Raid just in time during insomnia on Saturday. And also had lots of fun with the new roguelike mode Pokemon Masters EX introduced. It is a weekly thing and as I will not have an extra run no matter what I do, I play it really calmy and think about every battle wich is a nice change of phase from my more "Go for it!" attitude.

     

    I will definitelly check out Spar! If it has that big of a playerbase there there must be a reason for it! 

     

    Also congrats Demonxz95 on completing  Factory Capers, that is really some smart use of space for the new rollercoasters

  • I went ahead and bought Armored Core VI when it came on sale. It's fun so far, although I only started like an hour ago so we'll see how the difficulty ramps up lol. Died on the initial mission's boss only once, so maybe that's encouraging? I find it very strange the game has tutorial missions that you can only access *after* you defeat that boss; feels like a "you can have them after you prove you don't need them" situation.
