Need help figuring out your Cycle units from your Siege units, and everything in-between? Then look no further! With this series of Warcraft Rumble guides, we'll provide an overview of the various minis that have the desired trait, as well any potential synergies such a trait may be looking to take advantage of.

In this guide, we'll be talking about the Cycle trait.

What is Cycle?

Minis with Cycle are those that cost 2 or less Gold to play them. It's called that because in this instance, "to cycle" means to quickly make your way through your deck in search of the strongest cards/minis/etc. that are more important to your game-plan.

Synergies & Strategies with Cycle

The goal of Cycle minis is to, frankly, get past them so you can play your better minis more often. A mini does not reappear in your pool of available choices until you go through all of the others in sequence; if the ones "in the way" are cheaper, you don't have to spend as much Gold on them to reach the targeted mini again and again.

This works especially well with units that gain a bonus for being played multiple times. A key example of this is Hogger, one of the Leaders for the Beast family: Hogger gains more and more Attack Speed and Movement Speed each time he is played, causing him to zoom across the map and smack enemies super fast. By playing some Cycle minis to reach Hogger more often, he would quickly grow into a significant threat. With the right Talent Hogger can gain Maximum Health as well, making him truly unstoppable!

Another benefit to Cycle minis is the ability to flood the board with them, overwhelming the opponent with sheer numbers. A great example is Old Murk-Eye, a different Beast Leader: his March of the Murlocs ability causes a Murloc to spawn whenever you play another mini, for a few seconds after playing Old Murk-Eye. If those minis have Cycle/are cheap enough, you can play a couple right away and spawn a bunch of free Murlocs all at once!
