I MAY HAVE 1 HEALTH AT THE END OF THAT TURN, BUT GOD DAMN IF I DON’T USE THIS WITH PLOT TWIST
This ain't no place for a hero
Are we at all concerned what this might do in combination with Violet Illusionist?
Can't see this being useful in Standard though. Just not enough healing to justify that amount of self-punishment, even with Soul Fragments, even if the combo with Backfire could lead to crazy swing turns.
Also, realize that this permanently changes the cost to health, meaning if you draw a big card with this you will always end up having to pay a lot of health for it and that could basically render it useless.
Turn 5 Jaraxxus sounds lit though.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This seems like a very scary and problematic card.
In standard im not sure how busted it is, however if you draw a 7+ cost card and pay for it with health AND it corrupts Tickatus, there will be a lot of salt. No one wants a corrupted Tickatus being played on turn 6... Also seems good in Zoo, especially self-harm lock. Lets see is there any other scary card warlock has acces to early.... oh Lord Jaraxxus... oh no...
In wild this is completely broken. Survive till turn 9 (which is hard tbh.), have a full hand and then play Violet Illusionist + Stealer of Souls + Plot Twist and play super big stuff or an potential OTK for basicly free. Seems very scary. Oh and Darkglare warlock might also like it, just because that deck already likes taking damage and gaining/cheating mana and giants with it.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Mecha'thun warlock is back! This + Plot Twist with a reno in hand lets you get the Mecha'thun + Cataclysm without any need for other combo pieces as long as you have 7 or more life, 15 or more without reno.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Cheaper G'huun with a more persistent effect, but requires you to have the draw in hand to be effective.
I want someone to break the game with this
This card is strong for general use, and will be problematic once people start popping crazy combos off with it.

I don't know. It looks memey, but shenanigans are certainly possible with this, so shenanigans will probably happen. Only question that remains is if the shenanigans will be any good.
Arena > Wild > Standard
That's just a cool effect. Warlock has enough lifesteal that paying life to cheat mana will be useful. Seems most appropriate for a faster deck.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
As mentioned by the others, this card is simply just insane with Plot Twist and Violet Illusionist. That alone means this card will likely at some point get nerfed.
In standard, this can fuel for the pain train to get your Flesh Giant nice and quick. In zoo where the minions are plenty and small, and the fact that Darkglare still exist means you can practically play your entire hand with a draw card and this actually sticking for a turn.
Assuming, of course, that you dont just kill yourself.
You might not want this on the board very long. Otherwise, you might not be able to play your cards without them killing you. Still probably worth it to play a late game card far earlier than you should.
Well i guess this is pretty damn Scary in Wild - sure also good for standard but not as bonkers as it could be in wild.
But i could also see this working in standard - and it also has a decent body so it is not that easy to remove.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I saw Regis go super greedy with this card in Standard and while that does lead to some spectacular highlights, it is not very consistent. I made a lower-curve deck instead which doesn't go all-in on the Stealer of Souls, but does take advantage of the power spikes while rarely falling flat. Give it a try before this card gets nerfed.
What about Flesh Giant? Looks like a good addition to the deck. :)
By The Holy Light!
You're not the only one who likes Flesh Giant. I wrote a rather lengthy reply to that suggestion on the deck page, please give it a read.
Here is a version with Flesh Giants and a big Soul Fragment package:
It's not as refined as the other deck, but it should be a decent starting point if you want to try this archetype.
