Lol her cloth is hard nerfed.
Look at the upper side of the chest. She had a strpless cloth not like new one. I find this kind of censorship pathetic...
If they pulled a Blizzard and censored cards like Hired Gun, Brash Gambler, Corina Veraza and Elise I would have agreed with you. But giving Caitlyn a new design so that she looks more like a cop and less like a Gogo dancer is not censorship.
Although the lack of top hat is regrettable.
Big fan of her updated design and it's good thing that have more champions that can punish card draw since we have more and better draw engines these days.
This theme is... interesting. But where is the synergy between Caitlyn and Vi?
Also: imagine playing Caitlyn into a scars deck...
Overall I think this theme won't work out well against any deck but discard aggro
I agree that I think this mechanic is not compelling. And if it becomes hugely popular, the counter is very easy - just have tough units.
It not that easy, you can't play deck simply because it hard counter one mechanic, Vlad/Braum had a favorable match up against Azir/Irelia but after a few weeks people stopped playing it because they realize that deck got stomped by the rest the meta.
The same thing happened pre-nerf Fiora/Shen that deck got hard countered by Ash/Noxus, but most didn't bother playing Ash/Noxus because that deck struggled against aggro who were popular at the time.
Most Wanted forces your opponent to draw three if you target them, correct? It's designed for the trap synergy, but it's a very interesting effect to have in the game generally.
Caitlyn is not wearing her top hat in either iteration, 0/10.

The iconic hat is in the level 1 art though.
Boo, I was looking forward to Cait and when she is finally here, its all about the traps. Disappointed to say the least :(
Yea, I was kind of hoping it would focus on sniping or something similar, but as I mentioned in an earlier thread: Ezreal already sort of fits a psuedo "sniping" theme with the way he was designed (In LOR that is). It's understandable why they went this way with her, because any other way would probably feel too close to Ezreal's current theme/build.
My biggest issue with this is that this is gonna propel Teemo and or Bandle/PnZ region duo's even further into S Tier decks. Giving all this draw/removal, I guarantee Teemo/Bandle shroom decks will see more popularity over Caitlyn. I know I'm being a bit "doomsayer"-esque here but this just makes me fear the coming shroom festival and forced card draw.
I've also never been a huge proponent of bomb style/mill/forced draw decks. Player actionability is a more encouraging way to develop good player experiences over giving your players the ability to mess with opponent's cards on a massive scale.
To put simply: When you learn card games, you learn that draw is good. When you play card games, you know that generally drawing is good as it gives you more options and more answers.
"Bomb" or "Shroom" style decks flip that around and make it so "drawing is bad". Forcing discards, draw, and bomb/shroom traps really feels like it encourages a "screw with you mentality" than a "let's see who is more clever at playing their cards well" mindset. At least that's my 2 cents on the situation/topic...
You actually think this will be S tier? To me it's only a check weather you have tough units or not.
That fear that drawing will become bad is most likely not the case even in the case of traps and mushrooms. You are just limited in the use of draw and you get screwed if you lean heavily into drawing with your strategy.
The case I think of is my completely draw spamming combo deck in mtg which is still winning 40% of games against mill despite getting hard countered by the mill concept. Am I disfavoured yes, do I automatically lose to the archetype? No I don't. Therefore I see similar things happening with the trap archetype.
