Now that the excitement has died down, Veigar is looking to be a rather weak champion and I am not talking about his stat line, his design is very clunky:
- You can only have one Darkness at a time.
- Before his level the only way for Veigar can generate additional copies of darkness is by playing Darkbulb Acolyte.
- It's pretty easy to play around Darkness and to deny his level up. We have of course Nopeify!, but you can use recall card and Glimpse Beyond on the targeted card to fizzle the Darkness and if I am not mistaken hitting something that has Barrier and Spell Shield does not count as inflicting damage.
We know that Senna is coming so maybe they will synergies with one another? Because if this is the only support his going to get I think that he will fad to obscurity very quickly.

Looks like Senna got the good half of the package lol.
I love his voice more than LoL Veigar, although it's still a pain to understand him lmao. Plus his mech looks like it's wielding Morellonomicon and Rylai's Crystal Scepter! A cool detail.
This expansion appears to be quite fun: I think my break from the game is gonna be over soon.

Yeah it's an interesting comparison with Hush. Twice the price for permanent silence.
Comparing to Vengeance is also valid. One mana cheaper, at Burst, for the cost of leaving them with a 3/3. That seems shockingly good.
Definitely not great against some aggro decks tho - probably not good against Lulu/Zed, but maybe feels ok to hit Jinx with it.
Now this hero? This feels like an appropriate themed dual-region hero with a unique mechanic. (Board control @ lvl1, win condition @ lvl2)
Edit: also Veigar's voice lines feel quite amusing to listen to. :)
Veigar in no hero he is a villain, the biggest villain of all Runeterra.
I thought that was Viego, the one who is trying to cover the entire world in evil mist.
