The King is back!
At worst this will be draw three and summon a 3/3 with taunt, which is not that bad. I think on average you can at least get a 6/6 out of it which seems pretty solid to me.
The problem of drawing with high cost mana is that you can't play big minions for presence on the board so you let the advantage to the opponent. Here it draws + summon a big minion so the flaw of drawing without playing any minion is deleted. Very strong card. Will be a must have in many decks.
Basically Ancient of Lore updated for modern day Hearthstone
Mosspog
I think this is pretty strong because it impacts the board and creates hand advantage. If Druid continues to ramp next year, this will be a back breaking play from them.
At this point it is pretty much the class's identity to ramp its mana early, most of the pieces aren't rotating either.
Wait, what? Overgrowth and Lightning Bloom are the most important ramp cards, and they are both leaving.
How about Nourish & Wildheart Guff ?
It really costs way too much, but druids may not really have much of a choice, given that most of their draw power are rotating. Which also brings us to another problem, which is that druids' draw power are rotating, so how big of a taunt are we really expecting?
It kinda reminds me a little of Overflow, in that its not really that great of a card but because druids then really struggle with card draw it was played anyway. This one at least will put out a decent taunt minion, and we are all acquainted with druids playing well above what they should, so a 6/6 on turn 4-5 while drawing 3 is still a decent pay off for throwing your entire hand for ramp at the start of the game.
