Battlecry is pretty damn strong on the surface, but the hero power is a bit lackluster

Works well with the Quest, actually. Might even make it playable.

Might be a little hard to use the quest, since you wouldn't want to replace your Quest hero power with Galakrond's but you also wouldn't want to lose Galakrond's Battlecry. You'd have to draw and play Galakrond before attacking 5 times. Seems inconsistent. Same reason Dr. Boom was bad in OG Quest Warrior.

I could see this working for *both* Warrior Quests:

    1. Warrior Taunts love being buffed up, creating higher walls while you wait out Sulfuras from Fire Plume's Heart. Giving your hero Attack can help you clear out early threats. Just a question of space in your deck, running a Galakrond package alongside the Taunts.
    2. Invoking is an obvious way to allow your hero the chance to attack, proccing Hack the System. The main concern is that you want to play Galakrond before the Quest ends.

This could be really strong - after Rogue the strongest Galakrond I've seen.

    All generalizations are false.

Eh don't like Warrior myself, and rarely play it, which means this will probably just end up as dust like all the other warrior legendaries, and of course, looks a bit OP.

You are given all copies of Galakrond for free, but IIRC they are not dust-able. Similar situation as C'Thun.

I really like this card. The hero power granting +3 attack really forces a change in game plan at the point that he comes into play, from defensive/stalling with armor up and removal into an offensive finisher with big guys. One of the biggest problems with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius is the way it let you play even more controlling after dropping him, with massive armor boosts and improved removal options.

Welp looks like we now have a Galakrond to rival Rogue for the best. Everything about this is pants-on-head bonkers:

Every single time you invoke, you get a free attack, possibly buffed up by any number of good weapons. Presumably (?) you can chain multiple cheap invokes in a single turn for some insane burst potential

You can also tutor out some cheaper minions that would be nutso with stat buffs (hello there Vicious Scalehide, Zilliax, or any cheap Taunt) that will help take board control without having to burn through any of the standard Warrior removals.

OR you can go Charge Warrior and drop some truly vicious punches - 10 attack Leeeeroys? 14 attack Grommash? Heck even 8 attack Kor'kron Elites would be enough to permanently relocate to SMOrc City.

This one is going to be wild....

This is a Tempo (Quest) Warrior card, and it's nice to see that archetype getting some new support. I think this will make a viable strategy. Very curious to see the Invoke cards for this class.

Actually was looking for some late game in "rush warrior" that list that was great and fun (for the player) before the atrocity of the wild event (which I don't know why it didn't END yet...)  and this fits quite well probably even as baseline it's just good.. invoking galakrond in warrior is actually quite powerful being able to deal tonnes of damage to face or control the board.

Very interesting card. You could either go for a Warrior aggro deck or taunt deck. Maybe even dragons. It allows for a lot of diverse decks. And it's free so everyone can try different things.

We haven't yet seen any of the invoke cards for warrior, but if you are able to get this guy to max then you will probably win the game on the spot. You can draw Leeroy Jenkins or some other charge minion and give them all +4/+4. And you are also dealing 8 damage with your hero for the first 2 turns.

This card is the perfect finisher for aggro/midrange warrior decks. I am glad to see that the hero card isn't some dumb infinite value control card.

I know that 3 attack to your hero sounds offensive (and it is) but it can also be used as a board control tool. With dr. boom rotating next expansion, and with the new armor cards released, I can see it being the new control hero card.

This card is awesome! 5/5 I think I will try it out in a rush/charge aggro deck. Playing this into a Grommash Hellscream is going to be ooo so sweet as a finisher.

Interesting I like aggro warrior getting a boost.

though I wonder how this plays out. I expect if we get a few cheap invoke cards there could be some otk potential.

The dream would be 4 cheap chargers drawn with 4/4 for turn 8 - could be OTK turn 8

a deck with every charger is 18 cards. The rest of the deck is invoke, rush and support cards. might work

This seems totally bonkers in any number of warrior decks. Its good for buffing taunts, its good for buffing charge or rush minions in aggro decks. The hero power is a great finisher, and even just chaining some invokes together in a turn can lead to a big damage push. One of the most dynamic and interesting cards in the set. This seems like it will show up everywhere.

Actually this is pretty strong, but only in an agressive warrior I guess, drawing leeroy, groom, korkron elite or something like that can win the game easy.

An agressive Galakrond. I already love these decks :) Tempo warrior with buffed rush (or charge) minions and the 3-attack heropower? Sounds good to me.

Even drawing 2 Stonetusk Boar, and SMORCing previously with the invoke mechanic you should pretty much be set for lethal unless the enemy has a taunt heavy/healing control deck.

This is one of those legendaries where the effects are obviously good, but so generally applicable that it's hard to say what sort of deck you'd want to put him in. Free attacks added to your Invoke cards is great, card draw is great, buffs are great, and a weapon is great! The natural thought, as most seem to agree, is that he would be put into an aggressive Warrior deck, but Galakrond could also be good with Taunts, dragons, or any of the other synergies out there. If I were a new player coming in this expansion, I think I'd start out playing Warrior!

    Better call Thrall!

Imagine this was in rogue and you could shuffle in leeroy and draw them all with +4/+4 hahaha. Maybe we can find a way in warrior haha.

I was confused with what people were saying about this slotting into quest warrior. But wow do those invoke effects synergize with the quest. Does anyone know if you need to run galakrond in the deck to get the immediate invoke effects?

I'm willing to call this the best version of Galakrond (even without having seen Shaman's)

The reason being that not only is it a HUGE lategame boost for Midrange/Tempo warrior but the fact that it can only draw minions makes it even playable in a control type variant.

I mean, just think how bonkers it would be to get a buff on Tomb Warden or even something silly like Security Rover or Berrylium Nullifier. Hell, just Zilliax and Eternium Rover are crazy enough.

A 7/11 tomb warden is something that Quest Druid can't even get rid off in just one turn....and then you have to consider all the Rushers, chargers and whatnot you can run in a deck like that.

Akali might be a consideration just because of this.

this makes me very happy because I really like minion focussed Warrior archetypes.

oh yeah, the hero power is also pretty neat, especially when it comes to keeping up tempo. If you run  it in a dragon deck you can probably generate enough armor through Emeberscale and Molten Breath to not have to worry about dying.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

Yes, you need to have Galakrond either in hand or deck to invoke him

Strong battlecry, as well as a nice enough hero power, probably will see some play at least. Looks like it’s pretty clearly meant to go in a more midrange type deck alongside Hack the System.

Who needs consistency when you could have fun?

Has potential to be broken. Warrior is limited when it comes to buffing minions so the ability to buff up 4 minions without using Magnetic or having the minions be damaged is great for Warrior. The hero power also benefits weapon-filled decks and this would be great for Aggro, Tempo, and Quest Warrior decks.

    Well it's over

Works well with the Quest, actually. Might even make it playable.

Might be a little hard to use the quest, since you wouldn't want to replace your Quest hero power with Galakrond's but you also wouldn't want to lose Galakrond's Battlecry.

Yeah... I think this was planned. SoU gave us nine new quests, but the reward for each one is an upgraded hero power. DoD gives us five E.V.I.L. Heroes, but playing it replaces your hero power with a different (upgraded) one.

So... you can combine a quest with a hero card, but you're going to be throwing away some of the benefit of one or the other.

HP is bonkers if you consider it is activated by Invoke.

This means Invoke cards are decent or even good Tempo in Warrior.

Of all the Galakronds revealed thus far, this one has me the most excited.

Not only because of the Smorc factor, but drawing 4 minions (not cards) and buffing them while getting a 5/2 weapon, that’s nuts.

Gromm, Leeroy, Kokron Elite, plus all the support Enrage Warrior got in SoU.  I might actually play Warrior this expansion

It's really unfortunate that this Galakrond has so much synergy with Hack the System while having the ultimate anti-synergy of completely overwriting the hero power.

Hack the System is such a cool quest that doesn't seem like it will be worth playing in DoD either since this Galakrond is so strong.

Don't forget, the hero power is used each time you play a card with invoke. While it my be weak on it's own, it could prove to be a powerful tempo tool throughout the course of a game.

Looks like this Galakrond could be very strong in a charge/face warrior deck. And I think it will help to create a strong taunt warrior with Tomb Warden and Armagedillo. Not sure if i like it right now cuz I would have to see new options for control warrior since it will fall down after the new year rotation.

I am very excited to play with this, specifically in Aggro Warrior, and I think it might see play in wild dragon decks too (Alextrasza's Champion alone makes it worth it).

Honestly, I already dare to say that this card will be broken, because of the hero power. Invoke minions will be a good tempo play that contribute to aggro gameplan, instead of being tempo loss as an investment for Invoking. I really hope it will not get nerfed, but would probably be strong even if it only gave +2 attack.

Invoke requirement makes me think because we don't know which kind of invoke cards warrior will get.

We might see so aggressive warrior deck this time i guess. Every invoke minion will give him +3 attack. Warrior has a lot of weapons. Pirates are always there etc.

I really apprecciate this Warrior Galakrond deck will require invoke minions tho. I wouldn't bare 8/6 Kor'kron Elites every time I see Galakrond.

That aggressive Warrior deck now has one last push with draw 4 minions (not cards, minions) plus +4/+4 buffs to them. Kind of a Divine Favor for Aggro Warrior.

You can see it in a more control/midrange oriented deck tho but I see it like its place is in aggro more than Control/Midrange.

    Unpopular Opinion Incarnate

The battlecry looks too slow for me already, this is not getting better with the already slow invoke cards.. I am not sold on Galakrond Warrior yet.

In an aggressive-midrange deck this card is very strong, it refill your hand with buffed minions (and you will able to play most of them in one turn at that stage of the game) and gives you an arcanite reaper and a hero power that can deal 3 damage every turn.

Invoking will be strong too in those kind of decks, as the 3 attack can be nice to remove a minion or just to deal some extra face damage.

The only problem i see is that to fully upgrade you have to play 4 invoke cards, and maybe is easily said that done

Ok, this card looks scary! Drawing 4 minions that are buffed a lot, on top of a good weapon and 3 attack hero power is really strong, I´d say. I´m already afraid of all the face damage we´ll be getting from Warriors.

I love it when Warrior gets archetypes that aren’t afraid of taking some damage. Since Aggro Warrior was already strong in the first half of the SoU meta, I’m sure this will be played. I’m curious to see if this will make Hack the System viable, but it might mean not playing the quest until later so you get it after you play Galakrond. So, Aggro-Control? Zoo Warrior?

The +4/4 will definitely provide some pressure if you play some smorc chargers

I have high interest in this card, mainly because of handbuff effect, just for fun. Might as well try out the legendary paladin one that does handbuff too.

I always think handbuff is simple and cool mechanic, but it’s rarely been a viable since gadgetzan expansion. This will be easily be my most favorite one. Glowstone Technician might not able to pass this in an instant value of big stats with draw engine at the same time. Val’anyr can make better value for a long term, but is weak alone by itself.

Step 1: Have Galakrond the Unbreakable in your deck

Step 2: Run a lot of Charge minions, combined with Taunts

    Step 3: Invoke

Step 4: SMOrc with massive Charge minions

    Step 5: Legend

This card does seem like it would enable a tempo/aggro warrior, even if you never play Galakrond himself. His invoke minions give either 3 face damage, or 3 damage to use as removal, each time you invoke. Seems very strong, and probably allows enough tempo for aggro warrior to close out the game quite fast.

This seems like a very good card. The final card is insane given that you get an arcanite reaper+a tutoring sprint+4 blessing of kings =27 worth of manna . The dragon warrior archetype is also the only good dragon archetype that already exists this rotation and if most of the invoke cards will be attached to dragons warriors will surely find good use for this one

Better than Rogue's Galakrond? Maybe, but I feel like Rogue's Galakrond fits the class's default deck style (tempo) more than this fits Warrior. I suppose there could be a good Midrange (Dragon?) Warrior that would like the buffs on Turn ~7, and the Hero Power would help clear minions or act as a finisher. Also good in an Aggressive Warrior, depending on how bad the Invoke cards will (probably) be in terms of Aggro.

[Hearthstone Card (CardID or Name) Not Found][Hearthstone Card (CardID or Name) Not Found]CardID or NameBADCARDNAME Seems very strong. Warrior can gain armor easily and with the invoke cards his hero power help for board control or smorc. Four invoke cards are 12 damage alone; and with  the battlecry you can refill your hand with huge minion and maybe close the game with charge minion like Leeroy or some charge pirate

This card seems to be able to go either way for warrior. You can go with a more aggresive midrange deck with some charge minions such as Kor'kron Elite, Leeroy Jenkins or even Reckless Rocketeer that would benefit greatly from the +4/+4 buff. Or you could go for a mech control deck that relies on the invoke +3 attack for removal instead of face damage and then you would aim to land the +4/+4 buff on cards like Tomb Warden, Zilliax or other magnetic cards and you might even substitute for Dr. Boom, Mad Genius after Galakronds battlecry.

    More dragons? Yes please!

Really looking forward to try this one out. Have been playing aggro warrior most of last expansion (lack of interest in anything else) and it was a solid tier 2 deck I believe. Having this addition, with hopefully some good invoke support, will be mad :-)!

It is a great card slightly works with the quest until the quest is actually done then it gets thrown off. But now I wonder if you invoke after playing galakrond and have the quest hero power does it summon a golem or give +3 atk?

    Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds

It's good but feels kinda boring for a Galakrond Hero card. At least it pushes Warrior out of the Control archetype and more to a Midrange one, I don't know if it can compete with our friend Dr. Boom, Mad Genius tho.

The card is very interesting. It could bring aggro warrior back in the game with some insane draw ( charge minion handbuff is always good ). The hero power adds more face damage in addition with some good weapons.

The main problem is that it's very slow for an aggro deck even if you don't fully invoke it.

Slots right into current Aggro Warrior builds. Dealing 3 with every invoke is ridiculously strong. Devoted Maniac just became your third and fourth copies of [Hearthstone Card (Reckless Mummy) Not Found], and every invoke printed in the future will essentially give you 1 charge of Fiery War Axe. Galakrond's battlecry hitting any chargers or rushers means a lot of damage face or a lot of control over the board, and the 5/2 weapon is nothing to scoff at either. Even the hero power upgrade perfectly goes with Aggro Warrior's gameplan of smacking the opponent in the face until they die.

Amazing card with a very strong deck it can already fit into.

So I guess this will be for a tempo minion based Warrior deck, likely using plenty of rush and charge minions.

This card itself seems pretty great. Late game refill whilst also making any potential Invoke cards give you an immediate 3 face damage or minion removal. Whether Warrior gets enough good Invoke cards has to be seen however.

Best Galakrond in my opinion. It has a effects that is good at the beginning and at the end game. Close in power to the priest one. It will enable warrior quest and probably will continue to be used when Dr Boom will be gone.

This card is absolutely insane for an aggro warrior, especially when you consider that warrior still has charge minions that would be in the deck, like the 4/3 charge minion, or even Gromm. If you get this on turn 9 you can use hero power for 8 damage. Warrior also has a bunch of rush minions so even if you don't high roll charge this would still be insane. Not all the warrior cards have been revealed yet but I imagine there will be cheap cards to invoke with, and that would just give your hero 3 attack to charge with each time.

The battlecry/evoke might work in an aggressive/charge kind of deck. I´m excited to see how good it´ll actually be.

This card is very interesting and similar to the rogue's Galakrond, it has good heropower, battlecry doesnt count on luck of drawn cards, but with the 0 cost rogue can sometimes have better value

This Galak fit in aggressive decks for sure, and the invoke can be used to lower enemy's hp to win later with some combo with damaged minion. I'm curios if this type of deck will be good enough and if it will be strong

Really disappointed of warrior's invoke cards. I was looking forward to trying to make an aggro Galakrond deck work, but the invoke cards are surprisingly bad and awkward to play. The first swing of the weapon is okay-ish because of invoke, but the spell seems completely garbage. I put together a deck nonetheless, feel free to tell me how greedy and bad it is. Sigh.

I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Both the hero power and the battlecry fit into aggro warrior. However, pirate warrior might be stronger without this card, because adding Galakrond, the Unbreakable and a couple of Invoke cards to this deck could make it to inconsistent.

    Galakrond, the Unbreakable

Drawing cards is nice. Drawing specifically minions is even better. Buffing those minions with +4/+4 is huge. It’s slower than the Rogue and Shaman versions, but it’s well-suited for a slow, grindy war of attrition playing one huge thing after another, which feels very flavorful for slower Warrior decks. The Battlecry of gaining 3 attack on your hero is also relevant for keeping the board under control in the early game with Invoke effects.

    Galakrond rating: 3rd best

    Jaina is best waifu. Always.

Seems like a weird deck may evolve of this, since battlecry and heropower do not exactly fit eachother. For any really long control matchup, this one really likes [Hearthstone Card (Archivist Elysanna) Not Found].

2 upgrades, but for every class you max can take only 8 galakrond invokers. 2 class cards and 2 neutral. I think, you must add all, coz you need upgrade him as fast as possible, but maybe not, Shield of Galakrond very strong card, but bad for aggro, 2-2 rush girl is ok, but bad for value galakronds like priest and rogue. Also, some class invokers not so impressive, but i think, class invokers are musthave.

It really hurts that the Warrior invokes are pretty mediocre.

I think this is way better in a slower Deck than in Aggro. The Buffs are huge, yeah, but 7 Mana deal sometimes 5 Damage is nothing aggressive Decks wanna do.

Also, shouldn't you have lethal on that turn as Aggro-Warrior? Why draw cards if you can finish your opponent?

A deck with charge and rush minions with Galakrond seems pretty powerful. A 10/6 Leeroy Jenkins or a 8/7 Kor'kron Elite are crazy good.

My favourite Galakrond. Draw 4 minions and buff them to heaven. Obviously super strong with ANY charge and new Scion of Ruin will be absolutely terrifying. Even Invoke effect is very good. Looking forward to play with him :-)

    Fun and interactive game.
