You got it! The last line was a reference to how the Blood’s entrance quote is an unintelligible gurgle, but when doubled it becomes the Ancient One, whose entrance quote is a shout and a half (THE DOOM OF WORLDS AWAKENS ONCE MORE!)

So, it was meant to be powerful and live forever, with infernal implying demonic power. However, it turned out to be weak and not good enough, but may be better at some point in the future.

Straight forward leads my path (this makes me think of druids, Star aligner was only ever played in druid decks)

It was nerfed twice (once reducing what it gave charge to, then to it's god awful current effect. It's drunkards were Grim Patrons, and now it has no synergy with anything, because Raid Leader is just better, even with a charge centric deck.

I'm going to guess Jade Shuriken, some if it's a bit of a stretch, but here's my reasoning.

I come with a small body on field - [Summons a Jade Golem, which starts out as a small 1/1 body]

My namesake is something to wield - [A shuriken is a weapon to be wielded, this was the main line that differentiated it from other Jade cards for me, though this could also apply to Jade Claws, but the text refers to "namesake" specifically, not card type]

Out of context, I shouldn't exist - [Traditionally, shuriken are made from cheap, expendable metals. Jade by contrast would have been incredibly expensive to use in such weaponry, and provides no benefit, thus out of the context of Hearthstone, it wouldn't exist]

My effect is a chronological hitch - [The summoning effect gets stronger chronologically as you play more Jade cards, not sure about the "hitch" part though...]

Screaming faces in billowing green - [Looking over all the art for Jade cards, none feature screaming faces, but the Jade Golem token art itself does, when it reaches 20/20 and above]

My predecessor vanished, but I'll never leave - [The Jade Lotus is animating each Jade Golem with a portion of Kun the Forgotten King's soul, making him their predecessor, and he vanished long ago and, true to his name, was forgotten]

Answer to the bonus riddle: “No” is an anagram of “oN”, which when’s put against a mirror reveals the word “no” in English. What’s a word that’s interchangeable with “no”? That’s right, “not”, meaning you will not buy him a pack.

Yes, it is Plaguebringer! To be a bit clearer on the reasons:

The namesake is Plague of Madness, another Poisonous plague.

The effect shouldn't exist because there are no other Basic cards with Poisonous and the text "Give a friendly minion Poisonous" would not have existed in the Classic set since Poisonous wasn't a keyword at release.

First two lines reference death - deathrattle - and riding something. The recovery part can refer to the taunt aspect of it.

The last two lines may refer to its flavour text: “What beats cavalry? Dinosaur Cavalry!” Which may imply a “whole new game” once you click on it and try dinosaur cavalry!

I am absolutely stumped... my best guess is probably Gladiator's Longbow.

The first line indicates something to do with a weapon.

The second line could refer to take on a challenge, and maybe "let me hurray" could mean winning a fight against someone.

The third line probably relates to the Hunter class and killing lots of stuff.

The last line could mean it's not a common card, and "bulky prey" could mean it has a lot of attack.

My second guess is Gorehowl, considering it is a blade and it has a lot of attack, but it has nothing to do with Hunters at all.

no sadly, for the hint it is a minion and think it like the card says the riddle not me.

somehow I think it's Southsea Deckhand, the riddle sounds like pirate-ish. on the other side: are pirates that smart?

No common blades for a bulky prey - it wasn't really used in Standard until the release of Kingsbane.

No common blades for a bulky prey - common blades (which is Rogue HP) don't help me kill bigger minions with my 5/5 stats for 6 mana, let me be 9/9 for 6 mana to kill fat guys.
