With Legends of Runeterra releasing their very first expansion only a few days ago, Six More Vodka added concept art of the set to their website. With a new region out, it's time to bring this series back. As with the past installments of this series, all of this artwork is available to view on Riot's partner site, Six More Vodka. Links to all of the artist's Artstation or Deviantart profiles will also be provided.
Prowling Cutthroat by Gerald Parel
Our first piece of concept art comes from Gerald Parel, creating the artwork for the sneaky Prowling Cutthroat. I really wish I had a joke for this one, but I don't. *awkward silence*
Sheriff Lariette Rose by Claudiu-Antoniu Magherusan
Here to remind you that this town ain't big enough for the two of us is Sheriff Lariette Rose from Claudiu-Antoniu Magherusan.
Hunting Fleet by William Gist
Our first of the new ship cards comes from William Gist (a new face for this series) with Hunting Fleet. Why search for a Golden Narwhal when you can search for a... Platinum Beluga!
Black Market Merchant by William Bao
Another William shows himself for the first time in this series creating a lobster with very creepy eyes. The card itself is Black Market Merchant from William Bao, but I'm still not going to get any sleep tonight if I look at that lobster any more.
Fizz by Alessandro Poli
Alessandro Poli was responsible for the concept art of Fizz, the first champion we saw from Bilgewater. It's also his first piece of art in the game that doesn't have a Poro in it. His artwork is also labeled as "Fizz 2" internally which means this artwork could've originally been for his Leveled Up form, or they made the art for his base form second.
Nautilus (Level 1) by Michal Ivan
Michal Ivan provided the artwork for one of Bilgewater's other champions (and also the most intimidating looking), Nautilus. It looks like the big daddy has come out to play!
Nautilus (Level 2) by Chris Kintner
Another newcomer to the series, Chris Kintner, developed the artwork for Nautilus in his Leveled Up form. It wouldn't be unfitting in the slightest if he had a little sister to protect.
The Syren by Chris Kintner
Chris Kintner also developed the artwork for Miss Fortune's ship, The Syren, complete with heart-shaped smoke.
Gangplank (Level 1) by William Gist
Yet another one of Bilgewater's champions, Gangplank makes an appearance in this article, with his base form by William Gist.
Gangplank (Level 2) by Gerald Parel
Gerald provided artwork for Gangplank in his Leveled Up form.
Twisted Fate by Chris Kintner
Pick a card. Any card. As long as it's Twisted Fate of course. Chris Kintner provided the art for Twisted Fate in his Leveled Up form.
Miss Fortune (Level 1) by Gerald Parel & Chris Kintner
Our final Bilgewater champion, Miss Fortune also makes an appearance in this series with her base form from the tag-team of Gerald Parel and Chris Kintner
Miss Fortune (Level 2) by Gerald Parel
When it came to her level 2 form though, Gerald Parel took on the project solo, but she's still equally badass.
The Dreadway by Chris Kintner
Preliminary sketch for The Dreadway by Chris Kintner, which is staged at quite noticeably a different angle compared to the finished art. It is also called "The Dead Pool" internally
Plunder Poro by William Gist
What would be a region without its Poro? William Gist provided the artwork for Plunder Poro, the obligatory Poro of the region. Not by Alessandro, weirdly enough.
Longtooth by Alessandro Poli
What Alessandro DID do however was make the artwork for Longtooth, and the name does not lie, those outer teeth are pretty long.
Golden Narwhal by William Gist
William Gist provided the artwork for the elusive (literally) Golden Narwhal. Again though, what about the Platinum Beluga?
Vicious Platewyrm by William Bao
William Bao provided the concept art for Vicious Platewyrm. Is it a wyrm made out of plates? That would be quite useful for dinner parties.
Petty Officer by Hugo Lam
Hugo Lam provided the artwork for Petty Officer, who looks less petty and more like he's just going to fall over.
Crackshot Corsair by Valentin Gloaguen
Another new face, Valentin Gloaguen, steps in to create the concept art for Crackshot Corsair.
Hired Gun by Alessandro Poli
What do you mean you hired a gun? Guns aren't sentient! Bad jokes aside, our final piece of concept card art in this article comes from Alessandro Poli for Hired Gun.

And here we are at the end of this article. Hope you enjoyed the resurgence of this series. We're not quite done yet though. Next time, we will be taking a look at the concept art for the other regions in set 2.
Comments
Dunno, I feel like they could go deeper (heh..) about the inspiration and direction of the art.. All they really do is to show uncolored versions of the released product and tell a joke.
That being said I liked the bioshock reference for nautilus.
All the jokes in these article (including the Bioshock reference) are written by me.
Oh so all those articles are made by the site content makers? I thought those were rioters who made those.
