  • Warrior would been way stronger combo with Warlock, Mage or Priest...

C'mon... this is pure nonsense card

  • This looks like good support for decks with high cost spells. Dimensional Ripper benefits a lot from it and the Big Warrior archetype is getting pushed a lot be the devs for this expansion. Is it going to work? If the meta slows down then it could become relevant but i highly doubt it. The deck is just too slow and greedy. Even with a lot of removal the deck struggles to survive against other decks. Big decks want to cheat out stuff early but current Big Warrior plays too fair when its big turn only happens at 10 mana. The card can also be used for on curve plays but it's going to feel underwhelming since a 4/4 or 5/5 taunt is nothing special. Libram Paladin probably won't gain a lot from it since it tends to discount its big spells a lot which will weaken the spellburst effect of the weapon. I think this is playable but i'm not really expecting it to do anything to improve the prospects of current Warrior and Paladin archetypes.

  • It seems nice. Kinda reminds me of The Fist of Ra-den.

    • You need to go a lot further :) Atiesh

      • Both are similar... just legendary restriction or not...

  • Don't know if this good, but man, it's a beautiful card!

  • Hmm... Maybe I got the Spellburst effect wrong, but doesn't it mean that you can just leave this weapon equipped without attacking to benefit its effect for the rest of the game (until it eventually gets destroyed)?

    • Spellburst is one-time use. Something like delayed battlecry.

    • Yeah it is much better on a weapon because you cant destroy is as easily as a minion

  • I really like the new class colored weapon card frame!

  • Ok, Big Warrior is on the menu. Troublemaker, Rattlegore, The Boom Reaver, Dimensional Ripper, and now this. The stars align too perfectly for this to not be the archetype Blizzard planned for Warrior.

Oh and I guess this is a Paladin card too. Paladin has a decent array of spells that can be played on curve which is not too bad, but the real question is if this works with Librams after they've been discounted. Does a 4 mana Libram of Hope summon a 4/4 or an 8/8? And what happens if you play The Coin

    • This refers to the spells cost, as in the spells current cost. You can test this interaction out with Summoning Stone, or The Fist of Ra-den.

    • Oooh, i missed it. You are right, it is cool in Big War

  • The paladin flavor is there because it's similar to Spirit of the Tiger and it fits warrior because.....um.....it's a weapon!

    • It fits paladin because its CEREMONIAL, and it fits warriors because its a MAUL

      Genius.

      • Formerly Darth, now just Maul

it also fits warrior because it summons a taunt minion!
