i see this as arena card only, 2/2 weapon for 3 needs a very strong and reliable effect to be played. This one does not provide it and you will not build a deck around it.
This is like Spirit of the Tiger on a stick. In theory, it sounds great. However, there is something I'm questioning... You play the card and pass the turn, your opponent drops Acidic Swamp Ooze, will the spellburst still trigger when you play a spell on your turn?
Other than that, realistically you are looking to drop the spellburst on your next turn, which allows a turn for your opponent to do something to prep for it.... like a dormant minion. I'm not convinced that this is a great card.
Hm interesting on curve especially in Paladin. But even of curve can be pretty good... for example have this with Brawl in Warrior, and even if you lose the Brawl, you still have 5/5 taunt protecting you. And if you win it is even better, now you have the survivor AND a 5/5 taunt
I was just thinking of this too. I think Spellburst effects happen after a spell, so Trimutius's thoughts about the interaction with Brawl should be correct.

What happens if you cast a 0-cost spell? Do you lose the Spellburst or it skips it like the Fist of Raden?

I think on a big recruit warrior with this weapon, because of the high cost of those spells

No if they ooze it... spellburst is destroyed too... just like if minion dies before spellburst activates you are out of luck...

I am not sure if the 5/5 is summoned before brawl effect takes place or after it in your scenario
