Thanks guys. Hopefully they'll release an open beta in europe to be able to play it. Seems something i might enjoy (since mind games take skill). Making the game closer to poker is definitely an interesting take.
Quite the interesting theme for the next expansion. Out of all the Shadowlands lore and (lack of) storyline, I'd say Revendreth and Castle Nathria was the most interesting of the lot.
Also seeing as this is "Cora's baby", I'd guess we'll be spoiled with some interesting legendries and probably a unique take on the reveal video
ok you done it mr warlock...embarrassing the game has come to this point. I won't let you ruin my enjoyment in HS anymore, i will just concede against every freaking warlock i come up to until this idiotic curse lock and quest-curse lock is fixed. And don't come with get gud this has nothing to do with a cardgame anymore.
So I stopped playing WoW after Legion and never bought BFA or Shadowlands. The only things that interesting me in Dragonflight is... basically everything (New Drakthyr class, customizable dragon mounts, dragon flying, new talent system etc) But I'm definitely not going to pre-order coz everyone knows by now to not get hyped for Blizzard games anymore.
I'd like to guess that open Beta will be available this year, and as long as they don't reset accounts, open Beta for most games is seen as the game release.
That would be neat, though I suspect it would be easier and more effective to take the conventional approach and split the Covenants up across the classes that best fit them thematically. In practice, only a few of classes ever use set mechanics available to everyone (ignoring super broad things like keywords), so they might as well commit them to specific classes and have better control over power and theme as a result.
Don't get me wrong, I'm down with the idea of making a weird Bastion-rogue deck, but I can't help feeling I'd prefer the class focusing fully on Maldraxxus' Houses of Eyes and Plagues.
I'm a bit on the fence about the gauntlet of origination. Seems way too powerful because it basically forces the opponent to have weapon removal.
Thus, i'd change it to also lose 1 durability after each summon. Otherwise, having 3 health is kind of useless (could've been 1 just as well; also it could be changed to be in play for 3 turns, like a temporary card/effect, etc).
its for if they have weapon removal or the owner gives it any amount of attack

So relieved that these Stormwind quests are leaving. I even struggled to complete the "Play or Trade 15 Tradeable cards" quests coz there's not many good decks that rely on lots of tradeable cards these days. Also the "Complete 3 Questlines" quest made me feel ashamed when I had to whip out that Quest Hunter coz it has been the only decent questline I have
They're a weird compromise: the numbers are very low for Mercenaries, as you can finish such a quest in about 2 minutes, while in Constructed it takes way too long. For example using Flamestrike in Constructed you have to wait until turn 7 and then do up to 5*7=35 damage, but more likely 10-20 damage. In Mercenaries you can do 21*3=63 fire AoE with an upgraded Baron Geddon on turn 1 (more if any of the opposing mercs are red), plus you have another two mercs, although they won't have such effective AoEs. In any case, if you're lucky the quest is finished in a single turn, otherwise in two.
Changing it to "cast N fire spells" would make it fair for both modes.
Yeah this is sadly a pretty common case. I did hear the reasoning behind this and it is up to you if you want to believe it or not. A riot dev responded on a Reddit post saying that the shard system in theory was fine and they had done spreadsheets to test if the numbers looked right. However, due to a huge amount of small bugs that weren't causing much issues before, they let them fester because of their low priority but in return, it clumped up into one mega bug and this caused the shard system to be bugged and give you a lot of shards for champions you already own.
We didn't really get an ETA for when they'll release a fix for it but if it's going to be anytime, it'd be during the next PoC update. (Would not imagine them not teasing us about PoC updates in the upcoming 4.10 patch).
I was not the biggest fan of WoW when I played it, but the entire time I played through Shadowlands all I thought about was how themes and mechanics would translate into HS. I want an MSoG style set with allegiances, but you can choose which faction to join and that would give you access to different mechanics/cards while making your deck like how you could choose which Covenant to join, and you could get specific themed abilities and buffs from them.
I haven't played WoW in years, but I was under the impression that Rastakhan was a prelate for some reason. Looking at his fight, he does seem to mostly use Priest and Shaman abilities. Fair enough, then.
Thanks for sharing. Do you have any replacement suggestions for Floop's Glorious Gloop? It's the only card I don't own and while I see its potential - especially for a nice swing turn combined with Scale of Onyxia - I'm still hesitant about crafting it.
I honestly crafted Final Showdown so I could advance my DH exp. if I ever rolled this one. Haven't seen it in a while, but I would just thrown in all the draw/tradeable I could, complete the questline, then have no hope of winning. I was afraid that quest would be around until rotation. I'll be happily dusting it when the next expansion goes live. Too many of them nowadays, you might get killed before even finishing. Thankfully, playing the final reward isn't necessary.

I'm too, tempted but it's fairly expensive. Never purchased a pre-order bundle before, maybe this is the time.

Out of Cards Changelog - 2022-06-24
Unpopular Opinion, old logo still better. I kinda miss the iconic fluffy which is OoC unique representation.
New logo looks way too "Hearthstony".
I prefer something neutral where the logo represent all card games.
