Seeing the teaser- this expansion will be a murder mystery- Denatrhius dies and we try to figure out who is the murderer By the end of the expansion (or maybe in the mini-set?) the murderer will be revealed to also be the murder weapon- Remornia.
Not sure if it's just a temporary issue, but recently I sometimes have issues connecting to the website even though everything else works fine.
It also feels really weird that the articles are not centered anymore with my screen size (1920 x 1080 | Firefox and Edge | Adblocker didn't change anything (not caused by ads)).
I think the "Complete 3 United in Stormwind Questlines" quest was a fine idea at the time, but if they wanted to put it in, they should have also given each player a random questline for logging in when the expansion launched, like they did with key mechanic legendaries for some other expansions.
Exactly my thought too. Some kind of Clue type mystery with each class having a 'suspect' as their legendary. Shadowlands overall has a big variety of characters from azeroths past to pull from. Be real fun idea for a custom set if that's not the case.
Expansion 1: heavily based on the enviorement with mostly unknown creatures and the protagonists are supported by a LoE member
Expansion 2: introduces a new card type and has a dark theme
Expansion 3: new pve mode (merc endgame?)
Though the pace is definetely a lot quicker this time around. I wonder if this has something to do with the 3. expansion being bigger than normal. Maybe the 3. expansion will be split into parts of like 65 cards that get released each month.
Also what happened to the event of this expansion? This would be the first time they are going to introduce a event with the expansion announcement patch.
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of :( I'm burnt out on Hearthstone, so I was hoping to get into Marvel SNAP to fill the void; I'll have to settle for watching streamers, I guess.
So I guess we should expect lots of dreadlords, vampires and lifesteal. Probably also a collection of WoW's villains to diversify the legendary lineup.
If rogue still doesn't get its own deathrattle minion when going to the Shadowlands, then we will truly have exhausted all hope for it.
This new site update has some issues, which are quite severe imo. The new video ad at the top of the page is obscuring all menus on all platforms i tried. Bellow you have several screenshots which prove what i mean.
Firefox
Top of the page without me hovering over anything.
Top of the page with me hovering with my cursor over the "HS" dropdown menu, which is the only way to access game portals since you removed the big buttons.
As you can see all options are obscured. Next one is me hovering over the "Expansions" dropdown menu which shows only the video ad is covering up everything. the other ad to the right is covered by the menu as it should be.
Edge
Don't have chrome on PC, so i tried the only other browser i have. As expected, same bug.
Not sure why on Edge i only have 2 dropdown menus. Perhaps because i am not logged in. Video ad still obscures everything.
Chrome on Mobile
On phone i use chrome, and same issue!
Page without me touching anything, its as it loads in from google search.
Page after i tap the menu button in top right (the 3 horizontal lines). Ad didn't move or get covered by the menu, it covers the menu. Btw, why is the menu button on the right but the menu slides in from the left?
I hope this is enough evidence. Now for a more general feedback on the update, removing the game portal buttons is imo a mistake. It makes navigating the site confusing and not easy at all.
I'm a bit confused. Out of all these minions, the only one that really has anything going for it in the game as it is currently is Sparring Partner, as he will be considerably easier to find than Defender of Argus. The others....Yrel only provides in-combat buffs, making her fairly worthless beyond maybe a bit of a midrange push that transitions into menagerie. I see no applications for Tipper and Silverback, no idea why Silverback is even being introduced. Kooky Chemist...maaybe you can make something happen with Naga (apply Spellcraft buffs, and swap stats to make them permanent), he has very minor use on cleaves (+2 attack on hydra, a worse Virmen Sensei, +3 attack on Foe Reaper, about equal with Metaltooth given the health loss), negative synergy with demons (you want that big butt on Battlemasters, not glass cannons).
This all smells a bit like the Taunt package they introduced, then gradually wiped. Except this doesn't even have any internal synergy with each other or most anything else in the mode.
The biggest news is buried across a couple answers: They expect a new game mode to be released in “a few months”, and alsohope the new game mode comes out before the global release.
So if you’re hoping for a global release soon, don’t hold your breath.
Quicksand is too good, disabling the keywords of 2 units for only 3 shouldn't also reduce their attack by 2. If you remove the attack debuff from the multitarget mode it should still be a good card but not a broken one as it is right now
I am liking most of these change expert the nerf to Quicksand, after the nerf to Sharpsight that card is the only good anti elusive card that we have left and since there is no change to bard I expect to see lot's Bard elusive deck now.
On a personal note I was hoping to see them revert the nerf to Monster Harpoon
So what stops a player from conceding during turn 6 when it's clear they are gonna lose? Or simply to prevent the other guy from gaining 2 cubes instead of 1? Or to cut your own losses during any point of the game?
I mean, it must be quite a bit swingy for there to be options against losing after every turn. Or a huge amount of cards, or just some binary mechanics, etc. Otherwise there's no incentive to ever finish a game, let alone risk more cubes by snapping.
At least this is the impression without playing the game. Feel free to contradict me with some examples if possible :)
Next to what sto650 mentioned: you and your opponent can snap also anywhere between t1 and 6, so at some point you might be invested to finish the game because otherwise you loose cubes. Ofcourse it's better to concede if you know for certain you'll loose, but the are some bigger plays possible t6, so judging what you and your opponent play and guess what he has in hand is a big thing.
I also feel that it's not too bad to concede early or something as the games are lot faster. Your time investment is not big per game, while in HS that is typically different (even agro games in HS tend to take a lot longer than a full snap game)
Calling this right now
By the end of the expansion (or maybe in the mini-set?) the murderer will be revealed to also be the murder weapon- Remornia.

IMO, "Dark" expansions were the best in lore, art and graphics. I know nothing about what this place is (need a Goliath post) but I'm hyped!
