  • Could the Next Hearthstone Summer Expansion Release Sooner Than Usual?

Humans are talking beasts, too. So what have you learned?

"To ask why we fight... ... is to ask why the leaves fall. It is in their nature. Perhaps, there is a better question. Why do we fight? To protect Home, and Family... To preserve Balance, and bring Harmony. For my kind, the true question is: What is worth fighting for?"

Alright edge-lord. It seems you haven't taken to heart the lessons of Pandaria, and could benefit from listening to the pandaren some time.

What lessons can the talking BEASTS teach?

Personally, I don't really hyped for the 2nd expansion, though, it's still very possible to have more dragon synergies coming, actually because they have dropped the info about Dragonflight in WoW.

But again, not hyped that much. What I do wonder if the thing with 4 expansions a year would be a real thing in the future? even much faster than we realize? Because if they start pushing expansion release faster and faster, it's really shown that they're testing the timeline. A week faster this time, 2 weeks faster next, and for all we know, suddenly new expansion dropped 1 month earlier. Gonna really messed up the gold gains for every players. And that sucks.

I just hope next expansion going faster doesn't have anything to do with that.

  • Final Meta Stats - Decks Are Dead

If we see a round of balance patches similar to the ones we got pre-expansion we'll know I was right.

If we see no radical changes to the meta for the next 6 months I'll be wrong and that's just how this game is now.

I like how your trying to act as if you didn't decide to make that statement after reading the tweet were Rubin Zoo said the patch 3.10 will have 40+ card change, you ain't fooling anyone there buddy.

And after watching the Sunny video I can say for sure that he doesn't mirror any of your sentiment.

Tell me how you like a game based in a fantasy-universe?

  • Could the Next Hearthstone Summer Expansion Release Sooner Than Usual?

Actually someone datamined a bunch of Darkmoon Bosses for Mercenaries. The mercs story is generally only very loosely connected to the story of the current expansion. Yes, they added a sunken City zone, but not because Fealin wanted to get there, but because the league has to stop the old gods.

  • Could the Next Hearthstone Summer Expansion Release Sooner Than Usual?

They're adding Old Gods to Mercenaries, even as a tag. We have N'Zoth and Y'Shaarj so far so the next two are probably coming.

Guess who's trapped in the deepest room of Ulduar? Yes, Yogg Saron and Ulduar definitely coming to HS as Mercenary content and regular expansion. They've been teasing this for ages! Brann is also there in WoW lore. Lots of potential!

  • Hearthstone Developer Insights From Team 5 - Behind All Latest and Potential Future Balance Changes for Constructed, Battlegrounds, & Mercenaries

Thank you for writing this up :)

I am concerned by a lot of the developers comments though. For example, the comment about Harpoon Gun. They know it is a high-roll card and feels awful to play against but won't do anything about it because they fear hunter will become too weak. Having all classes be competitive is more important than how enjoyable the game is to play.

Maybe they are worried that peope who mainly play hunter will quit.

    Quote From Crusader2010

So what stops a player from conceding during turn 6 when it's clear they are gonna lose? Or simply to prevent the other guy from gaining 2 cubes instead of 1? Or to cut your own losses during any point of the game?

I mean, it must be quite a bit swingy for there to be options against losing after every turn. Or a huge amount of cards, or just some binary mechanics, etc. Otherwise there's no incentive to ever finish a game, let alone risk more cubes by snapping.

At least this is the impression without playing the game. Feel free to contradict me with some examples if possible :)

It's completely intended that you can "cut your losses" at any point you see fit. It's actually one of the issues with snapping - you might scare your opponent away and only get 1 cube - whereas not snapping could win you two cubes instead. It's all part of the mind games

  • Could the Next Hearthstone Summer Expansion Release Sooner Than Usual?

I'd say the fact that they already released pandaria stuff speaks against, instead of for a pandaria expansion. Why release them so early instead of during a pandaria expansion? There's also no way that they are going to introduce a new class without even mentioning or at the very least hinting at it during the year of the Hydra video or roadmap.

On a personal note I also couldn't care less about a monk class.

  • Could the Next Hearthstone Summer Expansion Release Sooner Than Usual?

I think that the next set may be something with fat loosers pandaurin and pawndaria, because it already happened in mercenaries, and last year there were rumors about the monk class. But I, as a rational being who hates everything unnatural and ugly, would be very sad if I didn’t buy a mega pre-order because of a disgusting pandaurin in it.

Submerged Spacerock is an out of place card, and they have done cards in the past that hinted future expacs. So my guess we'll have a Great Beyond expac, maybe Ethereals.

  • Rewards Track: Current progress 5.0

I´ve hit lvl 150 (with TP) and 1200 levels total in Tavern Regular achievement at the same time, so I could choose my seventh tier two hero Transcendence Anduin. As for Mercenaries, I got stuck on the 9th Y'Shaarj task with pirates Tag Team. I haven´t unlocked the second task for Edwin, Defias Kingpin, so I didn´t stand a chance. On the bright side, thanks to free packs from other tasks I´m missing only 4 new mercs, one rare and three Legendaries, which is cool (and I´ve finaly got enough coins to craft Deathwing). I´ve maxed out another two mercs, so I´m at 17 total. With that out of the way, I can finally focus on completing the SC XP achievements, and even finishing some of the old ones (I´ve crafted Lightforged Cariel just for the achievement and DE-d her for full dust after completion lol). Other than that, I´m just doing my quests, play one Brawl a week for pack and that´s it for me these days.

Ultimately SNAP is about getting you to the fun part faster: games are only supposed to be 3-5 minutes at the max. With that in mind, they actually encourage conceding if you are clearly losing; why play out a losing hand and risk more Cubes? Same thing with poker, really: fold, and move on to the next hand. That's not to say you can't play it through and turn things around, of course.

I haven't played it myself, either, but that's what I gleaned from interviews.

Edit: I will say that I've watched all of the SNAP content from Trump and Regis, and the games are closer than you might think. One side blatantly winning from the jump doesn't usually happen, so most people stay in it.

Ultimately, we will see what Riot does when they get off their summer hiatus.

If we see a round of balance patches similar to the ones we got pre-expansion we'll know I was right.

If we see no radical changes to the meta for the next 6 months I'll be wrong and that's just how this game is now.

No skin off my nose either way.

Also here's sunny mirroring my sentiments that this meta is oppressive:
