Been playing Reno Questline Priest, and I'm having an actual blast after quitting for a couple months. I missed games where you interact with the board instead of taking 30 from hand (which still happened a couple times but for the most part it's been awesome.)
I got my legendary from the last set but at least it was a decent one, it was the Shaman hero Brukan. I started my free Amazon Prime trial today. I will cancel it in May before Amazon charges me 14.99.
These are not theorycraft decks. ;) Every single one we've added and continue adding here is what has been and is being played on Ranked ladder across Day 1.
- Mech pally looks good. Lost to a couple. Lightforged Cariel showing us why shes completely OP. Couldn't try this deck myself for the time being, but I imagine it to be quite fun
- Pirate rogue feels unrefined. Feels like we're playing midrange pirate rogue, with little to no shenanigans. Doesn't feel particularly like a rogue deck. I'd imagine this can get even more cancerous than it is now. As it stands, this deck is a pretty solid deck, even against control.
- Kazakusan druid playing the same game. Ramp, play kazakusan, dont die, and then win.
- Quest warrior is bad. At least in standard. Basically unless you start first you'll get out tempo-ed hard by other decks other than control.
- Control warrior is strange. There's so many ways you can branch out as a win con. But as the meta goes forward, I think it'll just be unviable other than as a meta counter pick.
- Murlock and aggro druid plays nearly the same: it snowballs. Except murlock has less reload but can place down absolute monsters out of nowhere. Its fully on the tempo game though; remove board and theres very little it can do to finish off face
Dont underestimate the murlocs though. They're no longer as frail it they once were. Dont need to run Coldlight Seer anymore, instead Gorloc Ravager seems nearly mandatory, much to my surprise.
- Quest hunter plays exactly the same. Nerf target? Im not too sure. But it does seem like quest hunter will be viable, and will be practically playing the same way until it finally rotates next year. Win versus tempo decks, lose if your opponent has life gain and you dont draw your Furious Howl.
- and my favorite so far: Big spell mage. It'll always be niche, tier 2 at best. But the feeling you get from gimping your opponent with Barbaric Sorceress is worth all the trouble. Just gave my opponent a 9 mana Aimed Shot while I play 3 mana amulet. Puts a smile on your face whatever the results.
I was doing just fine playing Abyssal Curse Warlock, but after two games of fun it's been Questline Warrior, Questline Hunter, Questline Warrior, and Questline Hunter :( Kind of bummed. Switched to Multicaster Freeze Shaman and it's still the same.
I got queen Azhara and uh legendary I dusted because I hated them and now im palying Murlock because I love murlocs with gigafin and Azhara is there for some reason.
Update: the legendaries I dusted were xhilag (the DH colasal) and the 0 man priest one. Also forgot to include I played some faelin warrior before swapping to murlock
Did you happen to claim your twitch prime free legendary card at some point? That could be the random one you got since it could be from any set incurrent standard.
Yes, I did claim that today. That must have been where it came from. Somewhat disappointing, but thems the breaks I guess.
Something else interesting that just happened, I just logged back in and got a pop up saying that my bundle contained Auctioneer Jaxon. That was from United in Stormwind and I don't think I got a bundle from that expansion. I'm somewhat confused.

Every god damn time, all my expansion day excitement gets destroyed by an army of brain dead agro decks from previous expansions.
I just got blasted down by the 5th consecutive pirate warrior in a row. Turn 7, 19 health, just pulled of an insane swing turn with Naga mage and that guy pulls a Mr Smite and destroys me from an empty board.
I get that this is a good occasion for F2P’s and casuals to reach easy legend. But it drives me furious! We’ve spent weeks talking about the new cards, watched early gameplay with fun decks, spent hard earned money to get access to a variety of cool decks and for what? Arrrrrr me go face.
Anyone else see those small 20 bucks bundles in the shop?
Tried to buy one, but apparently my money isn't good enough for blizz. I suspect its something that was intended for later, but showed up in the shop too early.
After a long afternoon, the collection page should be loading data again. On the plus side, the deckbuilder also got faster because of my changes.
Manual edits should be working though our collection processor is quite busy today though with everyone opening their packs so it can take a bit of time for this to reflect on the website. I'm not sure if the JSON Importer is working right now, that I'll have to dig into later.

I instead got one of the bundles that Blizz has been releasing after an expac launch, and I could immediately see a difference between this release and the last. I have no clue how new players would keep up.

My own day 1 experience so far;

Got 6 legendaries out of 100 packs, about average I guess. Not my worst opening ever, but nowhere near my best as well.
...But I did practically missed out on cards I want: The Leviathan, Hydralodon, Queen Azshara. Instead I got Blackwater Behemoth. Thanks rng gods.
