With the hopes of stupid Unstable Evolution shenanigans completely aborted, we're kinda left with a Swiss army knife for spells. Decent, but decks dedicated to one thing or another probably will cut this out.
Don't think Multicaster Burn Shaman wants this, nor do I think that Big Spell Shaman will be a thing... at least not this expansion. Worth keeping an eye on in the future tho.
With the return of Bloodlust, maybe Burn Shaman isn't so much of a soften with board to nuke you from hand, but rather the other way around with this card providing the boards.
Heck yeah! Trying all the new cards and tools each expansion/rotation is definitely one of the most fun parts of Hearthstone (at least for me). Good luck with the deckbuilding :)
Murlocs have been a play fast or die archetype for most of it's life, so it'll at least be interesting to see if a slower but bigger stats approach will work with Warlock.
At the time of writing this article I wasn't super hopeful, but the theorycraft streams showed some real promise. For them to be a viable win-condition in the right meta. We'll just have to see whether or not the meta becomes too fast for Warlock to be able to run it.
Really wants a dedicated Weapon deck, and even then Weapon decks are warped around playing 2-3 weapons in total. Really have to scrounge for those weapon tutors.
Hilariously gimmicky, really need to stockpile what little draw Warrior has in order to not get trapped playing the big thing off the top of your deck every turn.
Not really sure Big Bois is the direction that Control Warrior wants to go. As other people pointed out, the condition is similar to Mor'shan Elite, but that hasn't seen play even in most Conditioning Warrior decks.
Feels like Quest Pirate Warrior would still rather run Hatchet over this, and it's bit too convoluted to tutor out the Sunken version for Control Warrior to actually make an impact vs. Aggro.
Seems useful to pair with Outrider's Axe if the opponent isn't cooperating with providing targets to draw off of, but in that case your hand is probably slowly clogging up with removal anyway.
Well Sea Guide Finley seems reasonable to include, and the discount is a lot that it finds a home somewhere... Not sure what that home looks like tho...
Dragon Priest was one of the few Priest decks I liked to play in the past. :)
I would love to play Dragon Priest again - but this list... I can't see, what the point of playing Dragon Priest should be.
It is no aggro deck, it is no combo deck, it is no control deck, it is no "big minion" deck... what is the way this deck wants to win realistically?
If a deck wants to be good in Hearhtstone nowadays it must have "unfair elements". This decks looks "way to fair" for me for 2022.
It's a midrange deck I guess where you try to steal your opponents win-con. I'm trying to roll it in a Reno shell, maybe using the quest as an additional win-con, but let's see how the meta will go.
New Shaman Minion - Radiance of Azshara
With the hopes of stupid Unstable Evolution shenanigans completely aborted, we're kinda left with a Swiss army knife for spells. Decent, but decks dedicated to one thing or another probably will cut this out.
New Shaman Minion - Wrathspine Enchanter
Don't think Multicaster Burn Shaman wants this, nor do I think that Big Spell Shaman will be a thing... at least not this expansion. Worth keeping an eye on in the future tho.
New Shaman Spell - Bioluminescence
Eh, works even with frozen minions which seems helpful in the mirror, but I still rather want to Bloodlust my opponent down with the wide board.
New Shaman Minion - Coral Keeper
With the return of Bloodlust, maybe Burn Shaman isn't so much of a soften with board to nuke you from hand, but rather the other way around with this card providing the boards.
New Shaman Spell - Azsharan Scroll
The front half seems pretty mediocre, but the sunken is absolutely a value boost. Helps fuel Burn Shaman, and maybe Questline Shaman too?
New Shaman Spell - Schooling
...Piranha Shaman is going to be a thing isn't it. Hoo boy...
New Warlock Minion - Za'qul
Once again, I think Cussing Warlock is going to be a reddit complaint deck, but not a very viable deck.
How Will Priest Perform in the Year of the Hydra? Hearthstone Core Set & Sunken City Review
Heck yeah! Trying all the new cards and tools each expansion/rotation is definitely one of the most fun parts of Hearthstone (at least for me). Good luck with the deckbuilding :)
New Warlock Spell - Dragged Below
Seems like the worst of the Curse cards, paying 4 to deal 4 to a minion is pretty poor scaling.
New Warlock Minion - Azsharan Scavenger
Murlocs have been a play fast or die archetype for most of it's life, so it'll at least be interesting to see if a slower but bigger stats approach will work with Warlock.

New Warlock Minion - Sira'kess Cultist
Cussing Warlock seems pretty bad, but also the kind of archetype that reddit will eventually complain about.
Selfish Shellfish Mill Priest!
The improved version of your Dancing Swords mill priest. :D
How Will Warlock Perform in the Year of the Hydra? Hearthstone Core Set & Sunken City Review
Glad you like them! It's always fun to see how these opinion pieces can spark discussion on upcoming cards.
New Shaman Spell - Scalding Geyser
Cheap burn, and helps get Sunken Scroll on top of your deck.
New Warrior Minion - Lady Ashvane
Really wants a dedicated Weapon deck, and even then Weapon decks are warped around playing 2-3 weapons in total. Really have to scrounge for those weapon tutors.
New Warrior Minion - Trenchstalker
...Conditioning Warrior comeback? Seems super slow even for that unfortunately...
New Warrior Spell - The Fires of Zin-Azshari
Hilariously gimmicky, really need to stockpile what little draw Warrior has in order to not get trapped playing the big thing off the top of your deck every turn.
New Warrior Minion - Blackscale Brute
Not really sure Big Bois is the direction that Control Warrior wants to go. As other people pointed out, the condition is similar to Mor'shan Elite, but that hasn't seen play even in most Conditioning Warrior decks.
New Warrior Weapon - Azsharan Trident
Feels like Quest Pirate Warrior would still rather run Hatchet over this, and it's bit too convoluted to tutor out the Sunken version for Control Warrior to actually make an impact vs. Aggro.
New Warrior Minion - Obsidiansmith
Okay, forget about Tuskarrr Trawler (or don't, because we could use all the 2 mana Pirates that we can get,) Quest Warrior is hard running this.
New Warrior Spell - Forged in Flame
Seems useful to pair with Outrider's Axe if the opponent isn't cooperating with providing targets to draw off of, but in that case your hand is probably slowly clogging up with removal anyway.
New Warrior Spell - Guard the City
Sidesteps minion restrictive conditions like Kazakusan or Vanndar, and is a pretty decent speed bump against aggro.
New Warrior Spell - From the Depths
Well Sea Guide Finley seems reasonable to include, and the discount is a lot that it finds a home somewhere... Not sure what that home looks like tho...
