They took it down after one day and changed over to Party Portals. I assumed it was because everyone saw how stupid Blood Magic is, but apparently not.
Didn't we just did this one a while ago? Why is it back now, as though of all brawls this one is the pinnacle of joy and diversity that we need to see it more than the apparent mandatory amount of once a year.
Remember: Any achievements you complete now will not reward XP until you claim them. Do not claim the achievements until the new rewards track goes live on April 12. If you claim them now, that XP goes towards your Alterac Valley track instead. When in doubt, stay out of your journal until the expansion launches.
Even if you manage to complete any of the displayed achievements, we suggest you to not claim the rewards, and keep them for when the new Reward Track will go live.
Depends on what you value. If you want gold then old is better because you can squeeze in a few extra packs.
Keeping them for the new one only makes sense if you for some reason feel the need to rush through the early levels.
Also, if you buy the Tavern Pass, the EXP boosts only kick in later on, so if you complete the achievements on the new track early you get less EXP overall (although it's such a small amount it doesn't really matter)
Well, getting close to the end of this recent RT I´m at 265 lvl, expecting to end at 270, which is my highest yet (from previous 251, 255 and 268). I´m saving all my next Mondays Weeklies and three Daylies for the new RT. Knowing myself, I´ll probably buy TP again from day one. My XP achievement stopped at 86% done, and I´m more than ready for the next ones! :)
So how did it all went for you? Will you use all your quests to get higher or will you save them for next? Did you get higher or lower than the last time? Any other thoughts? Hope to see you in the next RTP 5.0 :D
Thanks for the Flamereaper thing: it sounds obvious now that you point it out, but I really believed it could work.
As for the Hunter achievement, I really the achievement is just hard-coded and not broken: Alterac Valley was full of buggy achievements, and I really don't want Sunken City to be the same...
So did I until I spent 15 minutes in a game farming it only to realize it doesn't work.
You could argue the Hunter one might be due to spaghetti code were Slate doesn't actually turn spells poisonous but rather just has an aura that says they always kill when they damage something while Urchin Spines actually flags them as poisonous internally.

A few updates on this since you probably didn't playtest them all.
Flamereaper doesn't work for the DH achievement because it'S not the hero that killls but the effect of the weapon. Warglaives work fine though.
Also Professor Slate doesn't work for the Hunter achievement for some reason. Can't tell you why, but I assume the achievement was hardcoded for Urchin Spines because I guess they forgot Slate was a thing. Or maybe it's just broken in general
Here's how we're going to decommission "Out of Carbs".
In the future, probably this upcoming weekend, we'll deactivate Out of Carbs since it'll have been live for a week.
The navigation links will be removed.
The subforum will move to the bottom of the Out of Cards forums.
The Discord channel will move to the bottom of the Out of Cards Discord.
Forum threads from the Out of Carbs subforum will no longer appear in the forum thread widgets seen on the homepage and game portals.
Other than that, everything will remain accessible if you know how to find it. There has already been talk about having some more fun with it next year, so we'll keep everything around to support that in the future.
If you want to contribute a recipe on the forums, definitely go for it!
One of the worst Brawls ever, in my opinion. Basically, whoever goes first has a huge advantage and probably wins, provided they're able to play all their cards before their turn is over.
Also, I think this is the fastest returning Brawl ever with only 3 weeks between appearances. I suspect the March 2022 occurrence was an error, as it was changed to Party Portal 24 hours after release. If you're not a fan of this Brawl, it might be a good idea to wait a day or two to see if it changes again.
I suspect it's a unique occurrence, since rotation is happening in a few days. No one is really interested in Year of the Gryphon cards at this point, so it's smart for them to offer a pack you can open next week to get relevant cards.
I think your definition is a bit narrow, though. Traditionally, "control" describes any deck that uses removal and healing to survive until it can achieve inevitability, which can take many forms. It does not have to be a "resource war" per se.
I would agree that Kazakusan Ramp Druid does not exactly qualify, because it's more about rushing to ramp up to the singular win condition of the deck, with survival being a secondary consideration.
I think this card is partially overated, but still a decent card. You will usually get 4 mana back on it, which just makes this a 2-5 with semi-taunt for free. I worry that with mages strong draw engine it could be worse, but atleast Incanter's Flow will be gone to partially reduce mana cheat, though Siphon Mana and Shivering Sorceress will help with that.
There is also Murkwater Scribe and Hot Streak, which synergise very well with Spitelash Siren. I don't see the pay-off though. An OTK will be hard because of board space issues, and there is no Flamewaker style card that benefits from playing spells/nagas. Unless you want to wait until 9-mana to play Spitelash Siren then build back up to 9 for Haleh, Matron Protectorate, but that is very slow.
Turn 1 OTK Druid!
Just earned a pack in 20 seconds with this deck. Thanks.

On the contrary, "rushing through the early levels" will get you to the higher XP bonus faster, which is exactly why you would want to do it.
Blood Magic
Same goes for class packs from solo adventures and such. Save them unless you really need the cards.
(I'm pretty sure duplicate protection does not apply, but you can get new cards if you open them after launch before you open your other packs.)

How long is the Out of Carbs subforum going to stay?
Thanks for the info! I'm kinda glad it will stay.
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you create a Meal? Or I just post it as regular text in the Meal Talk subforum?

The Glide animation takes too long - better to add x2 Mana Burn

Whatever you play, SAVE THE PACK (not like I did, dumb me). Is Standard and after the expansion, you'll get new set cards from it!
New Mage Minion - Spitelash Siren

Standard Packs are much better than Year of the X packs. At least you can pity break on them. Hopefully it's permanent.
