Wow, you've actually tried the deck! I'm glad you like it. Even though I never expected anyone to have success with it, it's great to hear that the deck feels good to play and that it works well in practice.

Gave Duels another try after the update.

Awesome to face op decks after 4-5 wins with the same op combos. Met two Warriors in two different runs who both got the treasures to reduce the cost of battlecry minions and to draw a minion after you play a battlecry minion and its cost get reduced...

Both Warriors play the ever-so-STILL-frustrating-to-face Bomb Warrior. So much counterplay possible when they armor up each turn, beginning turn 1!

Also awesome that Blizz added new duels heroes but forgot to make the corresponding achievements available (two Drek'Thar runs with 4 and 5 wins -> 0 wins in achievements).

To finalize my rant, I guess for f2p players the new unlock criterias for the treasures are a nice change, but for people like me who don't want to play a lot of Duels (no other mode is so rage inducing and has so many FeelsBadMan moments imo) but still want to try the treasures and has a full collection of the current set, it's annoying.

Yup, the timing was intentional: we wanted people to have some Vann/Drek lists to play with, so we pushed out the meta report as soon as we got our hands on them

This deck is really cool, and I like how Glitter Moth and Heal fit in along with the other card choices. After playing regular Obelisk priest a ton I am going to play this one a lot, it feels really fresh and a new approach to Obelisk. Thanks for making this Odd version!

1. Use this site: https://hearthstone-decks.net/wild-deck/
   Unlike hearthcards and other such "professional" services this is just plainly free. It updates nearly daily with decks top players tweet they used to get to high legends. Even if you don't want to "netdeck" it's good to know your enemies, the top meta.
2. Play a lot. Took me 20 days to get to legend from diamond 5 this month, worst month ever. Just super bad luck. Don't play for more than 3 games if you keep losing or start getting frustrated.
3. Play fast decks. If you can do 4 games in the same time it takes a c'thun druid to do 1 game, you'll progress much faster.
4. Pray. You need just luck most times too. Mirror matches are the most horrible, when they get exactly what you'd wanna have in hand and they beat you with plain luck.

Morning all, I'm sitting at Diamond 3 and I'm currently facing endless amounts of Pirate Warrior, Quest Hunter and big Warlock decks.

Really hoping someone can reccomend me a deck to try which could see me up to legend. I've never got there before in my 5 years of playing and I'd love to get that card back!

Two awesome Wild deck writeups in one week. Love it!  I have so much disdain for wild Priest that normally I don't  play the class but with all the information given with this quest deck I will give it a whirl.

The only way that Pirates can claim winrates like that is if you are doing data for the entire ladder. 

But that's no longer a "meta" anymore, because people can climb with literally any deck through Iron, Bronze, and even Silver as well. You can technically still climb with a winrate below 50% through those tiers, meaning that people's deck choices (and therefore match results) are not relevant to "the meta" for any tier less than Gold. And most meta reports ignore Gold as well, focusing only on what people are playing in Platinum, Diamond, and Masters.

The decks in Plat, Diamond, and Masters are the decks that have proven themselves to be strong and viable in "the meta" as it stands right now.

And I can tell you with complete certainty that Pirates is NOT in the meta for Plat, Diamond and Masters. It's not a good deck right now, unless you're fighting mostly bad decks or bad players. Sure, it will post great winrates through Iron, Bronze, and Silver, but not past there.

I browsed through three different meta reports (who all filter their data for only Plat+) and Pirates is not even on the list for any of them, in any form - neither playrate nor winrate. Even in this cheeky article, featuring 26 "high-performing blends ... for the discerning part-time ladderista," none of the decks is the traditional pirates list (though it does have a pirates list that uses Ionia instead of Noxus).

EDIT - I found meta data where Pirates shows up at about a 54.5% winrate (and a 0.9% playrate in that data set). I only recently resumed playing LoR, and today was my first time breaking back into Gold IV (I had to start at the very bottom of Iron). So, I decided to test the waters with Pirates at the bottom of Gold. I do have experience playing it in the past, and my opponents didn't strike me as particularly good - but even so, I did win 3 in a row. So, maybe I'm being too hard on the deck. It's better than I thought it was. 

I'm surprised that Freeze Shaman has emerged as Tier S in Wild, though at the same time I'm not surprised at all that there's another Tier S deck in that format. It's basically impossible to balance that mode, no matter how much Wild players wish the devs would tinker with it more. Take down one broken deck, then another will simply take its place, and so on and so forth. It's just the way it is.

Fresh tip: I just completed Heroic Icehowl today, and even after he had turned one of my Mercs into a block of ice, it was still able to cast its abilities. Like they were Rooted instead of Frozen. 

Not sure if that's a bug, or a change from the latest patch, but I don't think non-heroic Icehowl worked that way (weeks ago). 

So make sure your party includes damage from a distance!
