  • New Rogue Minion - Double Agent

Not going to lie, I'm getting pretty pumped to try the neo-standard Burgle Rogue

  • New Demon Hunter Hero - Kurtrus, Demon-Render

I think alot of people are over-focusing on the OTK-ish aspect of the hero power, but even just on a normal turn you can be expecting to gain about 6-8 attack from your hero power and attacking, meaning once you play this card, you instantly put your opponent on a quick burning timer.  Also, the rush minions at the start mean that on the first turn (mana permitting) you have at least 6 attack.  I think this card is super strong, and super annoying to play against.  A nice token finisher to the game.

  • New Neutral Minion - Frostwolf Warmaster

I wouldn't dismiss this one. Unlike Stockades Prisoner, which always costs 2 mana, this is potentially a free minion. A better comparison would be Happy Ghoul and Frenzied Felwing. Both of those saw play in Wild Aggro decks, so this has a pretty good chance of being a good card.

  • New Rogue Spell - Contraband Stash

    (5) mana replay 5 cards ; cool concept - body-less mini-Tess

  • New Rogue Minion - Wildpaw Gnoll

A new staple for Burgle rogue is born. With this discount, this is kinda crazy

  • Battle Of The Bards - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

Fedrion - I agree with Wailor: Sylvanas has generally been more Deathrattle-focused than Secrets-focused, both from a flavor and gameplay standpoint. That and spending 5-mana for a spell might be a hard sell after playing a bunch of Secrets; you're not contesting the board that much because of it. Not sure. I will say that Lament is a good flavor choice: definitely keep with that direction.

Arkasaur -  The minion concerns me because it could grow out of control fairly early on, being just a 2-mana minion. At least if it said Holy-spells, you wouldn't be able to abuse the Coin. I still find it more interesting than the spell, though.

  • What's on your Alterac Valley wishlist?

Lightforged Cariel - Half damage to my face, all the time, and it can't be removed except through Ooze/Viper and/or my own stupidity? I'm in. Gonna have to drop Hammer of the Naaru in my N'Zoth deck...

Brasswing - Maybe it can fit in my Vanndar Stormpike + N'Zoth, God of the Deep deck.

Balinda Stonehearth - I've wanted to play Big Spell Mage ever since I (foolishly) crafted Dragoncaller Alanna. Could this expansion be what makes her...maybe not high-tier, but at least fun to play?

Xyrella, the Devout - Time to update my Awaken the Makers deck :D

Bru'kan of the Elements - RIP Kalimos, Primal Lord, one of my favorite cards.

Bearon Gla'shear - You have no idea how much I want Freeze Shaman to be fun. This is the person who put Freeze Shaman in all their custom expansions, and if the weekly card competition was Shaman-related I probably went that direction as well. Don't let it be a meme!

Tamsin's Phylactery - My Big Demonlock with N'Zoth, the Corruptor thanks you.

Rokara, the Valorous + all Frost Warrior cards - I'm so on board this hype train. I was positive Fire Warrior would be a thing before any-other school, but fuck it: Control Frost Warrior is cool (pun intended).

  • New Neutral Minion - Frostwolf Warmaster

Very good for a cheap spells, can be useful in hunter with all secret synergy or in a secret paladin build

  • New Neutral Minion - Blood Guard

If this was cheaper at like 3 mana, then it'd be good in an aggro/token deck. At 5 mana, you'd rather play game ending cards like Arbor Up. It's also more of a warrior card as it wants to take damage. Don't really see the deck this will be used in, but I'm sure the wild pros will try make an OTK with this card.

  • New Priest Spell - Deliverance

    Deliverance GIFs | Tenor

The flavor text on the card is disappointing, but I know blizzard can't make any references to the film for ...reasons.

  • New Neutral Minion - Legionnaire

Super awkward stats for the cost. If you wanted to play hand buff stuff, you'd play paladin or warrior and use their class cards which are much better. Sure there might be some weird combo that could work for other classes but this card is too clunky

  • New Hunter Minion - Mountain Bear

I kind of hope DR hunter is a thing.  One of the few archetypes of hunter I can actually stomach playing and not feel like I'm giving up neurons in the process.

That said, this is a rather weak card overall.

  • New Neutral Minion - Snowblind Harpy

So this is basically a dual class card for Shaman and Warrior funny enough. This card will only see play if freeze shaman and frost/control/armor warrior take off.

Just might see play in big spell mage too

  • New Priest Hero - Xyrella, the Devout

This is a day 1 golden craft for me.  Bye bye my dust!  Hello Xyrella memes!

  • New Priest Minion - Luminous Geode

This is good when combined with Gift of the Naaru. You'd want a dedicated combo/miracle priest deck though but there's not much support for that atm. I'm sure this card will be good in wild, where there's more restore health type cards

  • New Priest Minion - Najak Hexxen

    Quote From meisterz39

The take I'm seeing again and again here is that as powerful as Najak Hexxen is in the abstract, he's automatically bad because taking full advantage of him requires playing bad cards like Youthful Brewmaster or Focused Will. This seems like an incredibly bad take.

For one, this reads a lot like the community falling into the Purify trap again. Synergy matters, and with enough support for self-silence or something of that nature then you might see a card like Focused Will rise in value and flip the script on the cost of supporting Najak to his fullest.

But more to the point, he can stall your opponent considerably even without extra support. If you drop him on turn 4 and steal your opponent's biggest minion, they now have to kill off Najak to get their minion back with summoning sickness. So at worst he's effectively a "4 mana 1/4 Taunt. Battlecry: freeze an enemy minion." with a ton of upside if your opponent fails to address him. Played on curve that could easily mean you've just stopped three minions (a couple of 2-Attack minions and whatever you stole) from going face. Seems pretty strong. Toss in the fact that you get pick up extra copies from Raise Dead and Call of the Grave, and can easily generate Focused Will from other good Priest cards and I think you'll be seeing this disrupting a lot of games.

As usual meisterz, you hit the nail on the head.  People focus entirely too much on synergy and "ultimate value" and not nearly as much on tempo plays.

  • New Neutral Minion - Stormpike Marshal

Very good if you being pushed too hard by an aggro deck

  • Iceblood Tower

I dont know if it will see play even in Big Spell Mage, unless you are memeing with Rune of the Archmage.

Its slow, you spend 10 mana to potentially do nothing on your turn, and games nowadays are not so slow to the point that wasting a turn on this wont get you killed.

I surely might try to build a deck with it though, looks quite fun.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Flanking Maneuver

You get a restless mummy, and you get a restless mummy!  Everyone gets mummies!

  • New Neutral Minion - Kobold Taskmaster

Maybe could work with Bless in a Miracle priest with Nazmani Bloodweaver? I'm sure someone will test it out

  • New Warlock Spell - Felfire in the Hole!

This is bad until better fel spells get released.  Overall it seems they are pushing locks into fel territory at some point in the future but it's not quite there yet.

  • New Demon Hunter Hero - Kurtrus, Demon-Render

In before nerfs (to either this or Deadeye)

  • Ur'zul Giant

A pretty good card for Token DH, even better than Corridor Creeper in its hayday, since it discounts based on how many minions died this game, and not just while its on your hand.

Not sure if it will stay in the deck after it gets refined (or if the deck will be competitive enough), but free 8/8s are too good to ignore.

  • New Neutral Minion - Humongous Owl

    Tonk 2.0, but for everyone.

  • New Druid Minion - Wing Commander Mulverick

It's one of those cards that does something with a keyword other than simply having it. I wonder how many wyverns you'll usually get out of this.
