Personally I really just can't wait for more mercs to be released. Hopefully they have a regular schedule for this. Having only 4 protectors is incredibly frustrating, considering the rarities are pretty unevenly distributed across the three classes. Added onto that is the fact that building synergies with so few mercs in the pool can feel unlikely if not impossible. I have dawngrasp, but when I search freeze, there are only two other mercs with freeze abilities, and they're both legendary? Not happening I guess.
Aventurin - Congrats for both runs, one better than the other! Seems like you really enjoyed that Token Druid: 10 wins in Heroic are no joke.
BennoFN - That "Source" is there because you actually have to upload your pictures somewhere else before importing them here. For example, I usually upload them on Imgur and then include them in my posts with the "insert/edit image" command.
I feel like they could get away without refunds as long as the changes remain fair. Mercs isn't like constructed because you don't have one unified ressource that allows you to craft whatever you want. Merc coins are only used for one specific mercs, so let's say Samuro gets nerfed into competitive unplayability, he will still be useful in PvE (especially when fully upgraded), and you haven't really lost anything becacuse you couldn'T have used his coins for anything else anyways. At worst you could argue that spending time upgrading a merc that suddenly becomes useless should be compensated, but even then, you're playing a gacha game. Collecting and completing is the main part and if you only played it for the competitive part that's kinda on you.
I feel like the most fair compensation would be to grant a certain amount of mercenary coins for the nerfed mercenary for the people who spent time upgrading an ability or item that ended up being nerfed. Other than that it just doesn't make sense.
I would say it depends; for a F2P player, you might want to craft them. The odds of you pulling them via packs is quite low, considering you don't have access to many packs in the first place. If you're in a position to grind their coins, you might as well go the distance.
I don't want to craft Ragnaros because I personally feel the 500 coins is too much lost. I want those coins for upgrading, and with only three Mercs left to obtain I should (hopefully) get him soon-ish. I *really* want him, though, so I might cave lol
I hope they wont decide to nerf the Mysterious Stranger interaction, while dull and extremely grindy, it is kinda the only sane, time-wise, way to get coins for mercs you actually want to play.
It should follow the "regular" pity timers, so 1 legendary in first 10 packs, then 1 in 40 packs. You might be just 6 or 7 packs from hitting the pity timer, possibly.
I totally agree, but I would like to mention that the purpose for the ready button after placing your three mercs is so you can still change their positioning (which can be relevant for some abilities, to play around cleaves, etc.)
I agree that a lot of quality-of-life improvements are desired or even needed in some cases, like showing alliance/horde and merc tribes when picking artifacts, which task number you've completed for each merc, listing merc abilities in PvP.
Something I appreciate is being able to find new tasks via Mysterious Strangers while doing PvE runs. With ladder, it feels very unrewarding to play longer stretches on a single day because the reward track progression is minimal and the rank bonus doesn't come until the end of the month, so I wish they'd introduce something similar there.
The no Alliance/Horde/Neutral indicator is so mind-numbingly dumb. In a year based entirely on Horde v Alliance, where you are choosing to implement this mechanic in a game you have purposefully distanced from canon Warcraft (and are therefore not assuming prior knowledge to be necessary or correct), why could you not add a simple red/blue/grey marker similar to the old tri-class banners?
Also, while we're talking about those items, PLEASE can I have the option to view my team, or just a sidebar popup of it, when I am selecting treasures. Do not expect me to remember what characters are night elves vs draenei or whatever when the difference could lose me the whole run.

"Yes you do! You can choose one of the bogs that suits your time frame the best! (Athens Greece time)

Do I have to pay in order to participate?
"Nope! It's 100% free! We even pay you a symbolic amount of... euros due to the test runs we're conducting on our future Championship!"
Is it easy to register?
"It's really simple!

Go to Hearthstone tournaments and join a bog of your time frame choosing
You're ready!"
What if I do something wrong while in the tournament?
"It doesn't matter! All we would like from you is your feed back on your experience in the tournament. What was it you liked? What led you not to participate in it eventually? We are looking to build a relationship with you and we will make sure to remember your Hearthstone battle tag to honor you properly when we officially launch the Hearthstone Class Master Championship! Please feel free to leave a comment here on this thread and help us build a championship worth living"
So, do I still got time to participate?
"Yes you do! If you got 1-3 wild Shaman decks to throw them into play you're good to go! If you don't, don't worry! You can always register for the Warrior's Showdown next Sunday or any of the other class tournaments that will follow!
Also, making some changes to attacks would help. I cannot understand why anyone even bother with attackers when shooters simply do the same amount of damage, is usually an AoE effect, and cannot be stopped in any way.
Because most of their attacks are pretty fast and they deal double damage against casters, while also having more stats.
Oh, and I wouldn't underestimate crush. Rexxar (Beasts gain +4/+4), Crush (+8 attack) and Mukla (Battlecry: Summon a 12/24 with taunt) can be a devestating opener, since you can't remove anything but the blocker immediately.
So in the first turn crush can heavily damage your lowest health minion (Apex predator) for 23 damage (most of the damage it's your mage, which makes 46). Next turn Crush uses the same skill again, kills the before damaged merc and attacks another merc, while Mukla uses his taunt to preveant Crush from dying before that happens. Afer that crush should be super low already, so he tries to get off one big attack with his Terrify (Gain +5 attack for each of your beasts and attack a random enemy).
Ive lost quite a few games against this tactic, also because they play 1 tank, 1 dps and 4 mages (shadow package), which makes it really hard to predict their opener when you first play against this team.
Only complain I have is the legendary average rate because I opened 40 packs and only got 1 legendary merc (Diablo) in the first 6 or 7 packs and not a single legendary portrait or merc but I got 8 epics mercs, so probably I just had bad luck with the legendaries in packs :(
The main reason for the equipment being only a +1 is because you can also upgrade them up to three times. So at the end, its usually +3, of which added to the upgrades on the abilities themselves will make quite an impact. That's mainly why pvp at the highest level requires tons of grinding for those not prepared to swipe their credit card.
As for pve, you'll find that specific equipment will make your task a hell lot easier, and therefore easier for grinding. Even something as innocent as a small buff to Xyrella's blinding luminescence (as though as this needs additional buffs as it is) will trivialize most of winterspring's enemies.

It's much easier to gather coins for a merc once you have them, though, so... Go for it. Embrace your vices. Give in. DO IT.

Can't do dailys in casual.
Yeah, Blizzard messed something up. I can't complete "play arcane spells", but did "play or trade trdbl cards".
I did Nozdormu quest though, but for it to add to the count i actually needed to play Nozdormu during match, not simlpy have it in deck.

It worked on Oct. 15th since I completed 1 of 3 of the Noz quest. Now it doesn't work. No progress to Nozdormu, no progress to "take x turns"
