And one last thing; the games quite unimpressive in terms of aesthetics. A small nitpick to be sure, but it is what it is.
So from a design perspective, this game was designed purely for mobile phones and not for desktop. There's a lot of unused space during battles with the board very bare and non-interactive compared to the traditional game boards we used to.
Come to think of it though, the Stormwind game board itself is the least interactive board we've got, so maybe blizzard isn't bothered with aesthetics anymore 😢
Yea, definitely esports or even live stream reveal rewards. Blizzard wouldn't give certain players packs for bugs that affect them. If they did this, they'd make an announce about it.
Did you watch the Esports event and not receive packs at any point? I saw something in passing about that being an issue potentially and it was being looked into.
For some reason, I received 4 packs of United in Stormwind when I logged in earlier this evening. I had no idea why, but reading this article makes me think it might be a gesture of apology for the issues mentioned here.
This might be a little overtuned, but I like how this can work in a big demon hunter deck. They can draw a lot cards and its not too hard to get a full hand in order to cheat out a couple of demons.

This does incentivize running big mechs, and I like how you have to think about building your deck in a way to maximize the effect without losing to aggro. The art looks more fitting for a place like Outland, imo. The boom labs are usually vibrant and colorful.
Demonxz95
I think it should say "the spell's cost" because "its cost" could be read as "the dragon's cost" when the dragon is played.
Wailor
I like how Varimathras fits the control warlock strategy well, as it helps you to stay alive during the early turns. That being said, I think I like the totem more. There aren't too many totems in the game, so it stands out more. The effect works well in allowing a more proactive totem shaman deck to flourish.
FieselFitz
Murloc decks like to overwhelm the opponent by playing a bunch of small ones early rather than building up to a single big one. I think it's too risky to run a minion that eats a large portion of your deck for a pile of stats for 6 mana.
ChickyChick
I like it. Shaman's upgraded hero power isn't very good compared to the other classes, so this provides an option for creating a shaman deck that wants to use its hero power a lot.
Fedrion
Filling the whole board with pirates might be a little too much for 6 mana, especially with rush. I would increase the cost or limit the amount of pirates summoned to 3 or 4.
Neoguli
It does remind me of Lyra the Sunshard somewhat, except it can't chain with the cards added to your hand. Currently, the effect is best suited in priest. Spell paladin isn't really a thing, but there's no reason why it can't be in the future.
R
I like the mech version more because it is different than being another version of the same character.
linkblade91
I like both versions, and I don't have a preference for either. I can't help but think that the weapon would be mainly used for face damage rather than as a control tool though.
Just finished the final region on Normal with my main tanky-Shadow team: it was a lot of fun. With the story complete (for now), it's time to complete Tasks and level up the other Mercs. Although I might have to give the game a break for a day or two just to savor it some more lol; don't want to run out of content too quickly :P
Can I ask why Mutanus? Just for his Taunt? Cariel is much better, in my opinion, and you're heavy on Fighters while short a Protector (if you want the "balanced" 2/2/2 line-up, anyway).
Beyond that, that's roughly what I've been using and I'm quite happy with it: TLK, Cariel, Tirion, Sylvanas, Vol'jin, Tamsin. Tirion is a bit of a weak-link, but he helps with the tankiness somewhat. Also makes it easier when you get the Human-based Treasure, 'cause half the team is Human.
I'm enjoying it. Didn't buy any of the bundles (preorder or otherwise).
Just enjoying leveling up the starter heroes (all 25+ now) and exploring other low level comps.
Did a few pvp matches, looks like it will be interesting if I get a few more heroes. Shore up some synergies.
I do a few games of HS, some Mercs, then back. Nice break up yet still fun in the same world. We'll see how long it goes but so far it's got potential.
Hello friend Swizard! Great to see you being given some spotlight with your amazing off-meta decks and guides!
Gonna be checking this column often. I vote for some control Paladin next. Just love the playstyle. Old combos Pyro-Equality and Equality-Consec bring so many fond memories...
If you are injured you gain life. So while healing + armour works the same as only armor this cards works much worse if you are injured if you have any cards that need armour (like Shield Slam)
One of my all-time favourites brawls for sure. Little sad that we're going lax on the Halloween brawls. Hopefully next week we'll have Rise of the Zombeasts as per October tradition.
"The external rating is the number you see, which is reset at the start of each season to add meaningful stakes and progression each season."
Well, no, you just told me that the reset has no actual meaning. I really dislike their persistence on this type of system.
Otherwise, though, very neat to get some insight on how matchmaking works! It's intriguing that they added some level of 'anti-rage support' - that they didn't want a bunch of Casters to get matched with a bunch of Fighters. At first I disliked the artificiality, but after some thinking I think I like this. . . but I'm also interested to see if I can game that system by intentionally forming teams with just 1 style, heheeee.
Card draw with a pretty decent body that can turn into a nice board if your deck is built accordingly:

Demonxz95: Already gave my thoughts on Discord, I'll just mention you should call it 'Dragonfire Rune' on the card.
Wailor: If the set this comes in is paired with some Demons like Pit Lord, it could be extremely powerful. I'd be really careful with Start of Game effects. I like the totem slightly more, but, again, Start of Game effects are dangerous, especially since this basically turns all your totems into better Lightspawn.
FieselFitz: Really big beatstick! Best this can get is around 29/30 if you play it on curve or 23/25 when you'd play around turns 9-10, when you'd expect to (thanks for the math, Echo!), and that's assuming your deck nothing but Murlocs. Game-winning against Aggro, will probably get you killed against Control and Combo, especially since you're now half a deck closer to Fatigue.
ChickyChick: Pretty good. Stat-wise, it's the same as the Paladin upgraded power, except on a single body. I'd make it cost 7 because a) Benedictus is also a overcosted by 1, and b) this might actually work with Genn Greymane and make the HP 1.
Fedrion: This is pretty damn strong for 6, especially if, like you said, you have Ship's Cannon or Skybarge up (side note: Why is the formatting between these 2 inconsistent? It's the same damn text!). Should probably cost 9 or something like that.
AeroJulwin: Zenari is an automatic no. Rhea is interesting, a weaker effect than Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, but I think the fact it's Start of Game makes it too powerful. I like the Forest Guardian the most.
Neoguli: Nice draw engine the turn it's played, since there's no way it survives until the next one. Odd choice to go Paladin with it.
R: I feel Huhuran is more fitting for hunter, but you'll have to change the art, since that's just Princess Huhuran's art mirrored (tells you how much this saw play because I couldn't even remember her name :P).
linkblade91: I feel Zuluhed is more interesting, though it's hard to judge the balance on either.

It might be related to the free packs from watching the GM playoffs. I received 2 packs myself, not so sure why you have 4 though.
