It's a list from Pure, they got pretty far with this list and another iteration of it last season. The ultimate version cut the whole Lifesteal package, but I'm feeling way more comfortable with it.
Yeah I hear ya, I mean I eventually figured it out, it's just with Dyslexia I tried over and over again, just to make sure I wasn't personally messing something up. Once I started and continued, it was fairly straightforward, and managed to get it quicker than I expected. I really appreciate the time and effort you guys put into making the guide, and that Calculator makes it easy, though I did try it a few times w/o and my own calculator... yeah again, not something to do when you easily transpose numbers. So punched all the info into yours and bam... done. Hopefully if someone has the same issues that I did, this might help them. Thanks again!
Yeah you need to think about how Hearthstone Chess works with the directly in front or Left/Right positioning. I was going to further elaborate on how it worked but I got a few folks to go through it before this was released to everyone and they didn't ask any questions about the nature of steps (I told them to be brutally honest, some stuff was rewritten because of it) so I figured we were in the clear.
I had considered making the rules more foolproof, like "attack the only minion you can", but it would have increased the complexity of the one time tool and I think folks can get the hang of it pretty quickly.
My best advice, for other folks reading, is to look at what move to take, make it in game, click the next button. Take it slow and you shouldn't have a problem.
I've said this before and people disagree with me but temo is a burn card.
You control out the opponent either in a midrange shell, or a stall shell and then you play catorina and the nexus goes pop. If it doesn't go pop, mystics and get excited will do the rest
Catlyn is a control card and as such playing her along side temo does very little. You'll say oh you can hyper level her thats so good, but like if you have a deck full of 30 shromes and an opponent with a bunch of burn a leveled champ will do nothing for you.
You can say the same thing about facing an opponent with an overwhelm 10/10 on turn 7.
So what does catalyn do well? The obvious answer is control the board, she's like if Zillian and Darius had a baby. If Zillian is seeing a resurgence in play due to the increased value of free pings catlyn is good too.
Once I free to play my way to having enough of her expect a competitive version that makes sense for her.
To be fair, we bring up years-old Hearthstone quotes to declare that we agree with them, which is the exact opposite to cancelling people over careless statements on social media that we disagree with. We agree that Hearthstone should be "fun and interactive", and are disappointed that the preponderance of face-damage spells, unstoppable early aggro boards, and game-ending quests has made the game less so.
Thanks to the tool here, its relatively simple. Don't be put off by the number of sequences you have to go through.
Input the data into the tool, then drag the cards accordingly in sequence 3 to the middle "?" minion.
Move on to sequence 4, same thing as sequence 3. Just drag the cards accordingly to the "?" minion.
That's it really. Ive seen worse puzzles off a cereal box mind you, this one just looks intimidating, but in practice is no more than following instructions as simple as preparing a cup noodle.
Thanks again to the community and outofcards for solving this so that I don't have to :) 500xp, and a card back. Don't give it a miss, its just 10 mins.
These puzzles were designed at a difficulty level where it would take the entire Hearthstone community a while to figure out, instead of a single person. If that's not something you enjoy, just play the modes you do enjoy instead. There is no need to call for anyone to be fired.
Ok... so I think there's an issue with the 1st part guide. I complete the 1st 3 steps, In front, to the left, use HP, but the next step says "Attack Minion on the Right" but after the Hero Power... there is only 1 minion.
Edit: Ok it was just a misinterpretation of the step, but when you say "attack the one on the right" and there is only 1 or only 1 attackable one, it can be kind of confusing.
Mercenaries looked cool but I'm just not a pre-order or cosmetic customer usually. I did look into them a bit and was shocked at the prices for sure. But I also know I don't have a real reference for what the value of these packs is. In Hearthstone I can at least judge from my previous pack purchases what I'd get. Mercenaries being a separate entity and giving out tokens has the consumers at a bit of a disadvantage. Overall with their pre-orders I'd love to see more choice. Their bundles are always these big $50-80 dollar things with lots of cosmetics. If they did a set of bundles at some point that was lower priced I think the community would appreciate it. I am sure there are people who can't drop that much that would maybe pitch in with bundles around $10-20 instead. Maybe I'm off but it seems strange to have the bundles all be so expensive. Mercenaries had 3 at 50. Why wasn't there a smaller starter bundle that's like 5 bucks for a few packs to get people hyped to have something to open? Just seems like a missed opportunity. I believe the previous "welcome" bundles for hearthstone did well. Maybe they are waiting until release to offer such things? Just think it's a missed opportunity not to offer more options.
As far as wild goes Stealer of Souls will be a problem forever under it's current printing. Just hands down it's a problem card. I love the idea and theme they went for. Think the effect is fun but without limits it's a problem.Sorcerer's Apprentice falls under the same category to me. Cards that just have static effects need limits. This is especially true for early game or low cost cards. Stealer needs something like "the first card you draw a turn" or similar because just leaving it opened as it is, people will break it. I actually like mana cheating and clever use of cards. I want there to be cool effects and powerful turns. The combination of making cards essentially free with warlocks many draw spells makes this effect too powerful to be open ended. They keep changing this card but hopefully they'll see they can't keep up with it. This is a good lesson on how mana cheat early or often is too powerful and ongoing effects need limitations.
That’s fair. As long as you feel that it’s worth it for you, I won’t question that.
I will say that I still enjoy the game, including the past month. I’ve liked the new decks available to try, the team has been fast with balance adjustments, and despite what others say I find that most games last a satisfying 8-10 turns. Overall player numbers are apparently steady, so hopefully there are a lot of people out there who are having fun.
I do worry that a lot of players are just waiting for the game to become something it’s not. Maybe the game has changed, maybe the person has changed without realizing it, but I’m sure it’s never going to satisfy many of the people I see on Reddit. I just hope most of them move on and find a game they enjoy, which was the reason I answered you the way I did. But if you do think it’s likely to be fun again for you, then I’m glad. Good luck!
Lots of steps indeed, but timewise pales in comparison with the requirements to obtain Lady Liadrin; to reach level 20 in World of Warcraft using a new character. I had never played a single second of WoW before and neither after collecting this hero portrait.
That's quite a lot of anger for an completely optional puzzle. I find the Idea of a Community puzzle quite exciting. Last time the problem was that everyone just copy pasted the answer from the people who solved it without even knowing that there was a big secret going on. That's probably why they tried a different approach this time.
I'm talking about this part
You were on the right track with that spreadsheet from Patch. You just needed more data.
The expectation was that you realized you were on the right path after steps 2 and maybe 3, and started a big social media campaign to get tons and tons of people in the community involved and to report their data each day.
Was hoping to have this be a huge community-driven event.
The game itself, as a literal, is only ever going to be ruined by Blizzard and they will never get a pass on it if they really mess up.
However, the game when you involve the community, because lets face it, community and the game itself make up the overall game, that's when we start to run into problems. When folks get discouraged because of the people that are being toxic in replies or they drop an N-slur to them via in-game message, that's ruining "the game" too. Its 100% clickbait to say players are ruining the game itself, that was my intention and it clearly worked and got people interested which then blew up a discussion here so I'm happy about it. Perhaps we could have had a slightly different discussion if that overall topic was a bit different.
I can't agree with you that the base of Hearthstone, a card game, is a cash grab. A cash grab is something that is garbage and is created purely to make money. There are many games out there that are like this, like many of the mobile games from Asia where the only way you can realistically play the game at all is to just keep injecting money and hoping you get a good sword, but Hearthstone is a legitimately good product. If Hearthstone's wasn't, this game would have been abandoned a long time ago. We get pretty damn good value in Hearthstone though, more so when you consider its a card game and how card games traditionally work.
Mercenaries could definitely be garbage and if it is, then the pre-order bundles are any other monetization is indeed a cash grab. We can't label it as such though because we still don't have a full picture of the game, which is a mega fail on the part of Blizzard.
Finally, there are plenty of folks who for literal years have been crying about Hearthstone. These are the people that really need to just cut their losses and leave. If you have zero fun in the game, and the only fun you have is complaining, you need to find something else to do with your time. Context is important. Notice how I said beforehand devs don't deserve to be harassed? People that are doing that clearly have had enough and it would be better for everyone if they did leave.
As you can see there's not many ways to do it. You do have a better chance of picking up an Oracle of Elune through the 3-drop pool since it is smaller than the entire minion pool. Crystalsong Portal, however, takes the cake as the card with the highest chance of discovering Oracle of Elune since there around 3/117 chance to get it.
And another thing, and this one is REALLY important: Solar Eclipse! Don't be shy to double those chances. In fact, when I finally got Oracle of Elune, it was on the second discover from a Resizing Pouch.
EDIT: Moderation team, if you want to, feel free to add my post in a spoiler with a title like: "Don't have Oracle of Elune? Here's what you can do to Discover it"
