It will definitely be interesting to see how Team 5 will generate interesting buff spells for different classes without the risk of making them feel all the same, and the same reasoning goes for the next mechanic.
Blizzard has already fixed this issue by printing mount spells for specific classes, so not all classes will receive a mount spell.
I really like the outline of this quest, but I'm scared that it is too slow and unreliable to complete. You have to use 9 spells to complete the quest, which is almost a third of your deck. Sure, there are discovers, including in the quest, to help mitigate that, but even then that is a lot of cards to use. And you have to count on being able to draw the controlling spells and utility spells before drawing the burn spells that you include to take advantage of the +3 spell damage. I just feel like it might be a tough road to get all the way there.
I like all of the mount cards, especially since they will all have different uses and not just a frustrating extra layer of taunt like the original steed was. Let's hope this brings around a slightly different style of hunter other than all face all the time.
Will using a Tradeable card to swap/draw show that card to the opposing player? I assume the answer is yes but I'm not sure I've seen it shown/stated directly.
It's shown. Source: Caelestion(?) on Twitter. I don't have the direct link, but it was mentioned in the "Tradeable" thread in HS General forums.
Came back today, went on a stupid winning streak and hit my goal rank for the season. Didn't actually play any better (or worse), just got luckier with my draw, RNG, and matchups. What a ridiculous crapshoot this game is!
It's often like that for me too. One day you go on an insane winning streak with lucky draws and topdecks all around, the next day it's the complete opposite where your draws are crap and all your opponents just seem to have the nuts against you. It's like the game is trying its hardest to make sure your win rate hovers at 50% all the time -_-
My guess is august 3. I saw the date in one of the articles from last week, I think it was in a "avaible until"-context. For launch, that is. I haven't seen any information at all regarding reveals.
I'm currently at level 129. I only started playing again three days ago after a two-week hiatus, so I gained 18 levels since then. These playing droughts are becoming more common for me though...I'm starting to feel like the day I'll be quitting Hearthstone will be coming to an end.
Even though I gained quite a lot of levels these past few days, it's been a miserable experience. I've been trying a bunch of off-meta decks like a Miracle C'Thun Rogue, Fire and Ice Mage, and a Deathrattle Hunter (the latter two I got from Kibler). While I like the decks, the meta is just so fast for them that I just keep dying to the multitudes of aggro and burn decks out there. So many losses. I ended up playing Doomhammer Elemental Shaman to make up for it; I went on a 10-game winning streak but hated myself all the while.
Just a shitty meta all around. Any meta being ruled by face decks is a dumb one.
I have reached level 290 (without botting). Current Demon Hunter wins: 625(+55)
I will probably just about reach level 350 by the end of the current Rewards Track which was my secondary target.
As for botting, I have no intention whatsoever of using such a thing to farm XP during idle times. The sheer feeling that something (other than myself) has access to my HS client/app (which I have spent a lot of money on) and theoretically can do anything inside it prevents me from ever using a bot. I know this feeling is not truly warranted because bots can simply be programmed to your wishes, but it is still too scary for me. Besides this feeling, what is really the point (for me at least) anyways? I already have a forever growing stockpile of gold (and dust) lying around.
Which EKKO builds are "hot" right now? Which ones worked for you? I find it "hard" to play with EKKO. The concept works and is strong but besides some "high roll fun" most of my Ws really needed to be earned and were clutch as f****.
BBG is also a committed "EKKO player" now but struggles a lot to find the right balance. Like "is it KAHIRI or RUIN RUNNER?", "is it SIVIR?", "DROPBOARDER or not?", "ITERATIVE IMPROVEMENT or just a nice 3drop?"
The META is still yound and so far no one has really find that one recipe "to rule them all"? What do you guys play?
A small upside to Tradeable cards. You can even save those Coins for later combos, but in the basic premise, they negate the initial Cost of using the Tradeable effect.
If so, I'd expect them to start with the Witchwood heroes because there's only 4 of them
I doubt the Witchwood heroes would get ladder portraits, since they use the same art as the actual minions.
True, but I'm not sure that matters much now those cards are in Wild, and only Tess really gets used there. If they insist on having different artwork, they can just commission some. 500cats' point that they are fully voiced stands, so it's still less effort than other skins would be.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this and immediately thought of stupid it would be in darkglare. Maybe this will be the tipping point for a nerf?
Blizzard's communication on card reveals has always left room for improvement, and I do not expect an announcement before we're very close of the reveal season's (re)start. Your best bet for now is to keep an eye on the card reveal slots on playhs.com.
But with a month left before a new reward track (and possibly more grinding achievements), I wonder if anyone has reached Lv. 400 yet? (or wanted to). I mean someone has to be there already.
I haven´t seen anything on Reddit yet (or might have missed it), but I think probably not. I could be wrong tho, seeing the post above you - clearly there are many people using bots to get there asap.
On topic, I´ve finally reached lvl 200 (went up 15 lvls this past week). I´m at 98% XP achievements done, only one left to do - the Demon Hunter´s one. But I think I´ll pass this one, even did the Paladin´s one, but this is too much for me I guess :P
New Mechanics Overview of Hearthstone's Newest Expansion - United in Stormwind
I'm a Wild-only player, so I don't see any rotation, only new mechanics while the old ones doesn't see any support.
That's the reason why I'm confused.

New Mage Spell - Fire Sale
This looks like a strong and flexible card. Great for earlyish control and nice to cycle if the circumstances allow it. All around solid design.

Do we know when the expansion will be launched / reveal will start?

I also made a Druid version, but I didn't upload it to avoid cluttering the page.
I'm quite unsure of which class is better, since death synergy is a Hunter thing, but Armor is a Druid thing.
Will probably tweak the numbers later, since it really gives way too many Armor right now, even if you need to spend six mana in order to gain it.

EKKO/ZILEAN - how does the deck work for you guys?
With the new expansion I started to focus on EKKO builds.
This is my most conistent and enjoyable list so far:

New Warrior Spell - Heavy Plate
I like the card, weaker than Shield Block but the key word gives it some flexibility.
You are not forced to keep it in your hand and can use it to fish answers from your deck.

I know there's a Mech that says "shutting down" when it dies but I don't remember which one it is. Eternium Rover?
Inked Brawler
pretty nice card, i like the drawing of it, definitely a card you would want in a aggro deck
