  • New Paladin Weapon - Prismatic Jewel Kit

The snowball effect Prismatic Jewel Kit offers is insane when combined with Seedcloud Buckler, because you can trigger its Deathrattle and immediately use Prismatic Jewel Kit's effect for massive hand buffs (just imagine a Conditioning (Rank 3), except on turn 4). Also, aggro Paladin runs just enough Divine Shields for Prismatic Jewel Kit to be considered in that deck.

  • New Warlock Weapon - Runed Mithril Rod

Feels like an auto include in Soul Fragment Warlock, as the Fragment draw should count as extra fuel for the card. Just be happy that deck is really bad right now, as cards like Lord Jaraxxus or reddit's favourite nemesis Tickatus are just examples of cards that really enjoy their discounts.

  • New Neutral Minion - Peasant

This card is toxic when played turn 1. The effect seems meaningless because it's a start of turn effect, but you either answer it immediately or you lose. I'm pretty sure the only reason a card with an effect like Peasant's effect was printed is because DH exists and can Hero Power it down without losing much tempo. That's why I doubt Peasant will see much play.

Just don't forget to never underestimate the power of cheap card draw.

  • New Neutral Minion - Spice Bread Baker

Antique Healbot was never an amazing card, it just stood out as the only semi decent "last ditch" anti-aggro tools during its time in standard. The proof is that Antique Healbot is just not run in wild, because there are better cards, like Reno Jackson or Zilliax, i.e., cards that provide over-the-top healing or tempo and healing at the same time.

Spice Bread Baker is like Antique Healbot, except its body is frailer (so it can be even more easily killed) and it's dependant on having a big hand, which usually means you don't have the resources to combat early aggro boards anyway.

I'm not saying Spice Bread Baker will never see play, i'm saying she's not the anti-aggro tool the game needs right now, so she'll be just another "last ditch" anti-aggro card.

  • New Neutral Minion - Mailbox Dancer

Decent combo enabler for combos that cost more than 10 mana. But considering how fast the current meta is, and how this card allows aggro decks to try and out-tempo you even harder, I'm not sure this is the card that brings combo back to the meta.

  • New Neutral Minion - Flightmaster Dungar

A card that trades all around power for flexibility. All options serve a purpose and, although neither is game breaking, they're all good enough to consider Flightmaster Dungar as basically 3 tech cards in one.

  • Why the lack of rogue heroes is so frustrating

    Quote From MurlocAggroB
On the bright side, it's entirely possible that the third expansion's portrait will be Garona Halforcen. She had a weird cameo as the final boss in Xyrella's chapter, and (assuming the set is Alterac Valley) I don't think there's very many notable characters there unless they want to really piss people off and choose Drek'thar.

Good catch. Lore-wise, I guess Garona is being controlled by Cho'gall and the Twilight's Hammer at this time*, so maybe they're going to be dragged into it too? That's starting to pull in a lot of parties trying to get the naaru shards, so they might ret-con it for HS so Onyxia's controlling Garona (although that opens up so many extra questions...). Either way, I'm beginning to think the 3rd expansion will be a lot more messy than just Horde vs Alliance, with more important lore characters than just Drek'thar there. At least I hope so. No skin would be worse than another orc shaman at this point.

    * Going by the timeline in the comics which cover the story of Valeera, Varian and Broll dealing with Onyxia, and later Cho'gall. (See Valeera's Book of Heroes.) The timeline in HS looks to be roughly the same, with only minor tweaks. Note it is different to in-game WoW, primarily by when Onyxia is killed relative to the Dark Portal reopening.

  • New Neutral Minion - Pandaren Importer

It seems pretty mediocre. 1/3 discover a spell is pretty on par for 2 mana, and the restriction of only discovering something outside your deck doesn't feel terribly relevant. It's a decent card, I just don't know why you would play it over another card that's more consistent or, you know, Venomous Scorpid.

Actually, now that I think about it, it does feel kinda weird that they would introduce another 1/3 minion that discovers a spell while Venomous Scorpid is still so popular in standard.

  • Hearthstone's Liv Breeden and Cora Georgiou Discuss New Expansion, Battlegrounds, and Priest - Full Interview Recap

I do agree with the devs that being rewarded with an actual card to play does feel cooler since it makes the reward more tangible. However, you may be right in that having to pay 5 mana may make the questlines a bit too awkward to play.

If they were say, 3 mana and 5/5 or 6/6 then they would still get that cool feeling of being able to drop down a super powerful minion that you worked really hard to get, but it would still be easy enough to play to not feel cumbersome.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    is it fire-related?

  • New Neutral Minion - Peasant

Would be better if the stats were swapped around. This poor peasant aint gonna survive 1 turn

  • New Neutral Minion - Pandaren Importer

Interesting way to avoid "going infinite" with certain insane spells. Might see play in the new shadow priest/Darkbishop Benedictus deck where you want to find some holy spells

  • New Neutral Minion - Impatient Shopkeep

Your very mediocre average joe to showcase the tradeable mechanic, similar to Razormane Raider in that regard

  • New Neutral Minion - Rustrot Viper

I'm glad Blizzard invent these profession tools, then add a really good weapon tech to destroy them all. Great tech card to add the Tradeable mechanic on

  • New Neutral Minion - Spice Bread Baker

Am I the only one who thinks the ultra realistic look of the pastery is kind of disturbing (given the overall comic style of hs)

  • [Custom LoR Set] Honor in Vainglory

    Quote From Danasko

This set is amazing! I would love to see more of these kinds of posts in the future! A ton of fun to look at and I appreciate the effort that was put into making this! My favourites are Skye and Celeste but they're all really good!

Thank you very much! I'm planning to add more since there's a bunch of heroes I can still use but it doesn't seem like I have the time right now with how much fun LoR is right now. I'm also hoping that the next mini expansion that is in two weeks would drop first so I can see what works and what doesn't before I start designing the next batch.

Support tribal will proably never be a good deck because of the strong interdependence of the units played in the deck. A support wants you to have at least 3 units around that then also have to be ready to attack.

That Mountain Sojourners got buffed is nice to have but won't turn the tides for support decks.

However: I have seen a lot of Taric so far, played by myself :) I have been playing Taric Garen buffs and it works well. It resolves around buff cloning and gaining a ton of extra attacks to make the temporary buffs really count.

If you are interested i could share the list later on.

That does sound interesting, please do. I would like to try it and probably try to include the buffed Mountain Sojourners if you haven't already.

I would appreciate feedback if you should try it out.

Played a bunch of games (all in Casual though). Firstly, I tried your version first. The deck is pretty dead if you don't draw a follower early on and I feel like that happened a bit too often where they could just remove my Mountain Goat or Sparklefly. I wanted to say I liked the Swiftwing Flight 1-of but I often can't use it very well. Garen's a bit weird because I level him up often but I feel like his stats would sometimes just not be enough. I tried Mountain Sojourners btw, but since you don't have much Supports I dropped it pretty soon. I added more early drops such as Solari Soldier and Zoe.

The deck is pretty solid though if you draw Taric + Golden Aegis or Out Of The Way, you often just win on the spot when they can't respond or tapped out of mana. Sparklefly is actually cracked because it just heals so much more especially with the combo, and here I was wondering why you weren't running more heals. The spells are fine as is, every single time I change it, I change it back the game after. Definitely has potential but if you brick, you brick way too hard.

  • New Neutral Minion - Spice Bread Baker

Every control deck will love this card. I'm even confident enough to say this is 100% better than Antique Healbot

  • New Neutral Minion - Flightmaster Dungar

The Ironforge and Eastern Plaguelands are the only real good options here. Which is fine, and it's a nicely designed free legendary for us to play with now

  • New Neutral Minion - Mailbox Dancer

It's cool as long as we get the coin in our selected art style. Doubt it'll see much play anyway outside of arena

  • New Warlock Weapon - Runed Mithril Rod

Very interesting weapon designed only for handlock/control lock. The bigger the hand size, the more mana cheating possible. I like this weapon a lot!

  • New Warlock Spell - The Demon Seed

So you need to take 21 damage in total for Blightborn Tamsin. I understand we have the life tap HP, but that's still a lot of self damaging cards you need to add to your deck. Also, why are the rewards for completing the quest lines 1 and 2 the same? For Sorcerer's Gambit, the rewards are different

  • New Paladin Weapon - Prismatic Jewel Kit

We'd need to see more cards that have rush and divine shield, or this card ends up being mediocre with no support

  • New Paladin Weapon - Prismatic Jewel Kit

It's cheap, and it's effect is actually pretty strong. You could get a lot of value, but Divine Shield supports have shown to be clunky and Paladins wants to have actual weapons equipped.

  • New Neutral Minion - Peasant

So happy for this guy to get a card! If you think of it, it's acutally a flavorful effect. Too bad it's a bad card that won't see any play, in most cases this will be cleared right away.
