  • Worgen Battlegrounds Miniset

Bloodfang Initiation is cool, but I'm not sure how strong it is. At a glance it seems amazing for consistency with a Worgen build, especially in comparison to some of the other characters who build around their specific minion types. That said, you do have to pay for the right to buy the minions from the Tavern each time. Maybe that's enough?

  • Worgen Battlegrounds Miniset

I made a Hearthstone Battlegrounds set based around Worgen as a potential new minion type. Have a look and let me know what you think!

I tried to figure out how to upload the image to the forum but I couldn't figure it out without remaking all the cards in Hearthcards, so here's an Imgur link!

Two new Keywords are also introduced with the addition of the Worgen type:

Curse: When this minion damages an enemy, it applies its Curse to that minion, reducing its stats and applying other card-specific effects

Ambush: At the start of combat, this minion attacks immediately. It then skips its next attack.

Also, here are the two Worgen Heroes that would be added:

  • Steam's Overwhelming Game Flood: 14500 New Releases in 2023

Steam's algorithms seem to work fine at filtering out the garbage, but they're not good at discovering hidden gems. As a player, I still have plenty of good games left that I haven't played yet, so it doesn't affect me all that much. I can imagine it's horrible for developers though.

I get most of my game recommendations from YouTube these days. There are several channels that review indie games and if something looks fun, I put it on my wishlist.

  • This Week's Hearthstone Shop Update Brings Signature Bundles & More Returning Skins

Yeah, it's gettin' kinda weird in my opinion. They could've been selling that over the repeated Arthas skin; it's certainly more on brand with the set at large, and Jaina is very popular. Are they waiting for the mini-set?

At least the mecha skins are trickling out again, although not the ones I want (Valeera + Thrall).

  • This Week's Hearthstone Shop Update Brings Signature Bundles & More Returning Skins

Ah,  it  seems  I'm  not  the  only  one  waiting  for  that!

Another shop update, another 7 days of waiting to find out how the legendary jaina skin VFX look like.

  • Steam's Overwhelming Game Flood: 14500 New Releases in 2023

That is an absurd number of new games.

I suppose a real concern is that, with Steam being the defacto primary platform many, many people use on their PCs, Valve doesn't have to care about improving their systems. Their supposed main competitor, the Epic Store, still hasn't made a profit, and their platform is arguably even worse. They hand out free games and buy temporary-exclusivity to draw people to them, and it's not enough. So if Epic can't truly be on their level, what drives Valve to care about us consumers?

I say this as someone who owns over 150 games on Steam, likes their games being on the platform, and recently purchased a Steam Deck: Steam could use some work, but first Valve has to care enough to put in said effort.

Replaying Middle earth shadow of Mordor currently. Great game together with shadow of war if you don't take the story too seriously as it's basically a fan fiction.

Also playing batman arkham asylum for the first time. Cool game so far but it doesn't scratch the same itch for me as middle earth shadow series does.

After that I'll probably replay far cry 4

Now that the redirect article is up, I'll tell you guys.

The Epic Games giveaway has treated me pretty well even though I've only installed 2 games from it (Art of Rally and The Outer Worlds), but I'm having some really fun times with both games.

Doing Honour run with a friend in Baldur's Gate 3. Wasting my free time in League of Legends arena mode, so fast and addictive. Not much beyond that. I wanna get all remaining achievements in cyberpunk eventually and Legend in Hearthstone which i didn't manage to last month. Haven't been feeling great with Hearthstone lately since the decks i liked got nerfed and i had to make new decks. Enrage Warrior was peak fun, rip now tier 4 deck. Odyn warrior was amazing but now the meta deck s a 40 card list and i lost like 10 games in a row not drawing Odyn. DK is forced to run plagues which is fun for a while but again opponent never draws cards and i lose to better wincons. Feelsbadman. But battlegrounds is always fun to throw out when watching a film so there's that.

    Happy New Year!

Last night I rang in the new year with buddies playing Raft. It was a game we had all talked about playing several times over the years and bit the Steam sale bullet. Tons of fun, I'm glad we waited though because a common complaint was the game "didn't have enough content". Now? Certainly seems like it did so early access was seemingly a success.

I also started a co-op Far Cry 6 playthrough with a friend. Neither of us have played the game and I never played a game in the Far Cry series and so far, it's been fun. I'm assuming we'll progress a few hours each week so done by the end of the month if schedules work out - fingers crossed.

This month, I'd love to play a bit of WoW, some F1 2023, I've got to continue ARK as well. I'd like to jump into Path of Exile again too, but I just get disappointed because I don't have the time to commit to it.

  • What Are You Playing? January 2024

I purchased a Steam Deck, so what I'm gonna be doing is playing with that :D I need to chill with the whole spending-money business, so I won't be buying anything from the Steam Winter Sale; I'll be continuing my Elden Ring adventures, racking up more hours in Borderlands 3, and getting to my backlog.

Demon, you can't just start a thread like this and not tell us what YOU'RE playing!

Anyway, I started the new year with some Ghostrunner before switching to some older, can't-find-them-on-the-market games. I'm some way through X-Men Origins Wolverine, and I started Prey 2006, which has some really cool mechanics for the time.

The Epic Games Giveaway is still going on. How has the giveaway been for you?
