The vast, VAST majority of abusers go unpunished, while false accusations are extremely rare. Thus believing the victims of abuse is the only "fair" way to adjudicate abuse allegations, as it's much more likely that they're telling the truth about the abuse they experienced.

There is no way to "investigate" a crime that happened in private between two people that didn't result in a permanent physical injury. Each person's account is all you'll ever have to go on, and it's up to Blizzard (and everyone) to decide what to do given the information they have. There is absolutely nothing noble about defaulting to believing alleged abusers over alleged victims given the statistics in support of victims. Willfully ignoring that information is a truly disgusting choice to make.

If I was being smothered with a pillow I think I would go to the police instead of making a youtube video. It might be because we have been bombarded with stories like these lately with slazzo and pyrocynical and others but man it sours these things whenever I see them. It could be 100% genuine. I dont know either of these people. But just the way she says things.

It could be slight self loathing why she doesnt just leave after he does all these asshole things. Where she feels she has no other place or wants to make the relationship work. But surely if she is seeing a psychiatrist about the relationship and that professional which you should trust since you're probably telling them bigger secrets than the dirty laundry(basically literally with the cunnilingus thing) you're airing right now. You would think youd trust their judgement and leave.

Idk why but I am especially hung up on the control freak bit where she calls him that and I might be reading too into it like I said but other than the parts where she is talking about what he does to her it sounds like she wants the power in the relationship and not to have it fair both ways between the both of them.

Once again I hope all this is true. That the police are involved in this obvious domestic dispute. But if it's not true. If this man is innocent. His life is RUINED. Read the title it's not "suspended, pending investigation" it's suspended. Period. Ther will be no second chance. And I believe in that if hes guilty. But there should be a proper investigation. I'm tired of this, person is guilty because someone cried BS.

I remember mattress girl. And so should everyone else. Assault is not something you judge someone with lightly.

You can believe her and respect her (which I also do), and not ruin people's lives at the same time, just based on words.

Yeah, I hesitated a bit on Pack Kodo. It feels nice with Don't Feed the Animals and is a good proactive play to corrupt both Feed and Dancing Cobra. But yeah, Voracious Reader doesn't seem like a bad option.

It's understandable to be turned off by his reaction, but - and I'm assuming you didn't, which may be wrong here - try to consider it from his perspective. How many times may he have been asked about the issue before you saw that particular response? Sure, streamers get paid to answer stupid questions all day, but everyone has a point where they say, "I'm done talking about it." I will say that even if he was exasperated, there are better ways to handle it; one way would be a chatbot command (something like !battlepass) that posts a premade response. Then, mods or other chatters can jump in and respond to people who ask about the streamer's opinion while the streamer focuses on being entertaining and answering other, less repetitive questions. I haven't personally watched him in years, so I don't know if he had something like that set up. 

Looking at other comments here, it seems like his stance was as you described from the start. I just wanted to offer another factor in the judgements you might make about streamers. 

I don't think that being a public figure means every detail is something the public needs to hear about. I'm referring to their sexual proclivities being tastelessly recounted in detail, just in case the part that I'm disgusted by isn't clear. I've never heard of these people before today, and I frankly don't care if I ever hear about either of them ever again.

First, thanks to Flux for publishing this -- I doubt official Blizzard sources would have been as comprehensive.

Second, could you change the photo on the article preview? Having Zalae smiling with his arms raised triumphantly is a bit tone-deaf, IMO. Maybe just use a generic HS Grandmasters/esports header instead?

I respect that, Flux and appreciate you doing your due diligence for your website. I wasn't trying to knock it.  Just agreeing with the guy getting DV'ed.

Perhaps this should have been reported to law enforcement rather than tastelessly displayed for public consumption.

It's not the community's place to "go to bat" for anyone in a case like this, one way or the other, and Zalae's opinion on an unrelated matter should have no bearing on this decision. The fact that you even bring it up shows why the community has no business getting involved.

Being a cocky idiot on the internet. What could go wrong. Heard this thing some months ago. Meanwhile be was just giving the middle finger to the community amidst the rewards pass controversy. He should be banned from streaming too

This is really absurd to be considered in the same spectrum as domestic abuse. From my point of view, Zalae (or whatever his name is) is definitely the bigger asshole in the situation and he deserves the hate but his girlfriend also seemed to be extremely pushy with continuing the relationship after being repeatedly told that they should break up. It is one of those moments where 2 humans that are not compatible are forced to comply with one another and both snap at the same time. I don't know why this is considered to be big news, the guy is obviously not a nice person but he did not really do anything that should warrant a huge mob or ban either. 

Yeah, barely skimmed the transcript but it does seem unnecessary to have all this detail of one person's side on a CCG website.  Just my opinion... not necessarily a fact. Some folks need explicit context, I suppose. 

The reaction I responded to changed therefor I changed mine aswell so it doesnt seem like I am agreeing with them.
