  • Out of Cards Forged in the Barrens Giveaway Results!

That was a fun event - thank you OoC for making it happen!
Also, I fully agree with the minimal requirement to qualify a comment as a comment ; it ain't hard to give your personal first impression :
it is even easier to look what others have commented and pick one to respectfully agree/disagree with their verdict.
Better luck next time and congratulations to the winners!

  • The Cards We're NOT Going to Miss When Saviors of Uldum Rotates

I think I won't miss it mainly because the whole Highlander concept and Zeph being ubiquitous just became really old. Much like Reno Jackson burst heal back in the day, although that never felt nearly as impactful. Having another break from this concept should be refreshing. The card on its own has certainly been very flavorful and unique, but in retrospect that mana cost should have perhaps been a little higher. I did have my fun with it.

Maybe it's because that downside of not being able to put a 2nd copy hasn't been a notable one for a while given the number of great cards and all the options to discover/generate your second and third copies of cards anyway.

  • 100 gold for classic?

  • Reviewing Hearthstone's New Warlock Cards Arriving in Forged in the Barrens

I'm very excited for the deck destruction archetype, great meme and Neeru Fireblade is exactly the kind of card I wanted to see.

On a side note, you left this in the conclusion section "Talk about what you're excited about, anything else to wrap everything up."

Great article though, looking forward to seeing what your takes are on the other classes.

  • 100 gold for classic?

    Quote From Alleria

From my recent experience, sadly no. I´ve crafted the rest of the missing Classic cards just before the new Core set, to complete the Classic set collection and to see if I get anything. Didn´t. So it´s really not worth it, unless you are missing just a few (like I did), otherwise all you get is (atm) useless a-points. I´d keep the dust for the new expansion.

Did the same, actually. Can confirm that outside of achievement points you get nothing.

  • 100 gold for classic?

okay thanks! i guess i will not do it, and dust my useless legs from classic on rotation (did you hear that manastorm your time has finally come!)

to get some extra dust, after all  i wont get classic packs anymore so it is the last time i have  to get dust from it.

  • Weekend Wild Hearthstone Decks - Undertaker Hunter, Quest Rogue, Even Paladin, and More!

I saw a streamer playing Even Paladin a couple days ago - can confirm: Crabrider is an incredible 2-drop addition to that archetype. If you can get one to stick, there are many excellent buffs which make it a mid-game powerhouse or fast finisher.

  • 100 gold for classic?

so with the new patch come new achievements  for a lot of modes, and for completing classic it only gives a-points does any one know if doing it still give you 100 gold? i never got it and was thinking of crafting  the rest of the set and getting  a  little more gold would be nice! XD.

  • Custom Class: The Detective

It's similar to Choose One or Discover effect from a random casting effect: You'll get a random card from the selection.

And I can't find an upgradable 3 stages card that fit the mercenary that I want to put forth. So that is the best I can do.

  • The Cards We're Going to Miss Plenty When Rise of Shadows Rotates

Funny I look at this list and see some cards I'm glad will go. Heistbaron Togwaggle, Exotic Mountseller, and while it wasn't a very prominent deck, Chef Nomi bothered me.

  • Golden Baku bug?

So recently, I've been playing a lot of Odd Demon Hunter in Wild and have found it really fun. I've had a Golden Baku the Mooneater since Witchwood launch and have always enjoyed flexing with it, as it gave you a golden Hero Power, even if your hero wasn't golden. When I started playing it again yesterday, I noticed that Golden Baku doesn't make your Hero Power gold anymore.

I know it's not a serious or probably even relevant issue, it just makes me think that having Golden Baku is kind of useless now, as rarely you actually play the minion.

I don't know if it's a bug or if it's an intentional change, I just wanted to bring it up in case it is a bug.

I can recommend Undertaker Paladin. Feels very strong!

  • The Cards We're Going to Miss Plenty When Rise of Shadows Rotates

Waggle Pick lost its groove when Leeroy Jenkins got HoF. I remember trying to make this work again a few months back but found that there's no longer any real pay off cards to pair it with. Doesn't help that aggro these days can fire you down pretty quick and a 4 mana weapon is simply too slow for a class that can't heal nowadays.

The one card in this list I would not be missing whatsoever would be Exotic Mountseller. Its always going to be Mukla and Diving Gryphon for my opponent and Desert Hare for me, insn't it rng gods?

    Ok thx

  • 8 Fun Facts About Some of Hearthstone's Cards Rotating Out of the Core Set

    The only one that I know is that Warglaives of Azzinoth had an earlier, less broken version that if Im not mistaken is still used by Illidan in the game tutorial;

    Warglaive of Azzinoth Card Image

    Yes, this is actually just Warglaive of Azzinoth, as in just one of them. He also used another 6 mana weapon;

    Dual Warglaives Card Image

And then we were introduced Warglaives of Azzinoth, one of the most infuriating weapon to ever be printed...that is until it got nerfed. But hey, its getting a slight buff in the core set, so we'll see if it still holds up to its legacy.

Warglaives of Azzinoth - Cards - Hearthstone

If just one of these glaives only deal 2 damage...so why does two blades then deal 3? But that's a story for another time.

  • Goodbye Free Classic Packs - Their Contents and Tavern Brawl Rewards Changing Soon, Potential Benefits if You Held Onto Any

Yes, there have really been a lot of things coming out within a short period of time. It's hard to avoid confusion, I remember double and triple checking every piece of info while trying to get everything right.

Try not to worry about it too much (and when in doubt, ask whether in related articles or elsewhere - both our Discord and forums have a lot of helpful folks, as you might know). I missed out on quite a few XP achievements myself, not having had the time to chase a few hundred Greyboughs, pray to Yogg, and what not.

You know about Ysera, probably about the free arena ticket too. I think we've covered most relevant things to come, so hopefully everyone gets to enjoy the expansion as we get used to this new Hearthstone era.

  • Goodbye Free Classic Packs - Their Contents and Tavern Brawl Rewards Changing Soon, Potential Benefits if You Held Onto Any

Well put. I think I also missed an odd Brawl here and there, especially when it was something constructed I just didn't feel like touching. Now it's definitely going to be a lot more appealing.

For my pity timer tracking I always relied on trusted pen & paper, but I hear that Firestone has the functionality now to track that for you, and even draw data from the past. Haven't tested personally, but you could see for yourself - maybe it will help with knowing whether buying some extra Classic packs can net you that next Legendary and maybe more than one Epic.

  • Goodbye Free Classic Packs - Their Contents and Tavern Brawl Rewards Changing Soon, Potential Benefits if You Held Onto Any

    Titles are tricky!

As you see, even the devs themselves got confused at one point, or didn't consider all alternatives. What Dean said might've been true from his perspective, as someone who played for years and had all the HoF stuf. Good thing you didn't miss out in the end.
