The condition is fair, and the effect is alright, but you'll never put this in your deck just because youre running 4 drops, and this card itself is hardly an ideal card in standard competitive. Even in aggro decks, you'll never play enough 4 drops to justify its inclusion.
Team5 really dont learn from past mistakes do they? Or is this perhaps we can assume one of the design team's partner being a rogue main. Because let's be real here, this is a rogue card in all but name.
So what can rogue do with this? Well, practically everything what Mailbox Dancer used to do except without the courtesy of at very least granting your opponent a coin as well. Just play this, Shadowstep and get a bunch of coins, then destroy your opponent with either draka or a massive unfair ghost on turn 3.
The conditions paltry. 2 mana cards aren't exactly rare nor difficult to play so even a casual deck builder will usually end up with at very least 4 of those in the deck, never mind seriously building around this.
I can also see druid and warrior playing this, but its likely just gonna be mostly in rogue.
ive greatly enjoyed twist in all its forms so far. i love getting to have this temporary format with all this insanely broken nonsense competing against each other involving old cards that have been improved so that they can be used in new unique ways. i personally much prefer having some kind of crazy new concept modifying the season (the current one is fine but no neutrals from season 1 was really where it was at) since it creates opportunities to play ridiculously strong decks that would never be able to exist otherwise (e.g. haleh mage my beloved).
i also really appreciated how the format was balanced in season 1, which is to say it wasnt. at all. i think twist can be such a fun place to explore insanely strong decks since balancing the format matters much less if at the end of the month it'll be a completely different format anyways. that being said, the fact that season 3 and now looking like 4 as well have not properly shaken up the card pool or added any insane modifiers definitely worries me for the future of the format, as things are starting to get stale as they are.
overall though, ive really loved twist. now, its possible ive just gotten lucky since i adore otk mage and discolock, two decks archetypes that have gotten a TON of love in twist, but i think its been a really positive addition to the game. heres hoping they dont find a way to fuck it up!
Kaladin is a cool hero and I'm looking forward to seeing his character develop now he's embraced being a knight and no longer sulking and suffering. That got a bit too much for my taste to be honest.
You might need to have a little more patience with him - he's not entirely done with his sulking. But by the end of book 4, it has become more clear the biggest reason why he has been so depressed - and it gets resolved.

Wild is consistently dominated by new cards that are supported by a handful of very powerful cards from old sets. No one was playing a C'Thun deck or Jade Rogue in Wild, even after the buffs. It was just too slow in a format where many decks can kill you by turn 5. Twist actually lets players use those old cards.
Wild is a sweaty, extremely high-power version of Standard. Twist is an actual nostalgia format.
I'm mostly parroting MartianBuu and Dane here, because I don't play this game anymore and I also never played Wild. But they love Twist.

Gaslight Gatekeeper is a good modernization of Plot Twist with a good body for the Cost. Plot Twist might be preferable in a few, very fringe circumstances solely because of its lower Cost, but in general, this card is just unequivocally better, and it's really good that it's Neutral too.

Random Twist is definitely the way to go. Here’s how I’d set it up.
A Twist season starts on the 15th of the month.
This will give it its own time to shine.
Folks can focus on a ladder climb without having to choose between formats.
Every season is 5 or 6 random expansions and a random rule change.
Core set and legacy are considered expansions.
We get no warning, just like Tavern Brawl.
Having to solve a new Tavern (very rare thing these days) is a unique Hearthstone experience. Having to solve a new Twist will be even more fun.
Deck building is one of the underrated features of the game. A random/no warning Twist would provide monthly deck building challenges that we don’t consistently get elsewhere in the game
There’s no balancing and no expectation of balancing.
I don’t like having cards changed for a format that changes regularly.
If the season is broken, let be broken, some people like broken decks. Some people like hard countering broken deck. Let them have their fun
With Hearthstone in decline, there will be less and less resources to run a format. Just let it run itself and focus on Wild and Standard balance.
It's really just missing the elemental tag. I know it's a plant, but like come on. Make a joke in the flavor text like, "Ever seen a water elemental trapped in cactus? Talk about a prickly imprisonment."
