Yeah, I think there should be some reminder for those who are not aware of this, since we got only two weeks to finish the achievements to get those XP.
They are quite a grind for a more casual player. The non-casuals are probably already well aware of this?
I played some Tonk Hunter for fun, but I'm not going to craft legendaries or play endless games in hopes the RNG goes my way.
Well, since it wasn´t oficially announced apart from that one tweet afaik, many people could miss that information, just like barnabsxabove. I wouldn´t know myself, if my friend in-game told me about it, so it might be a good idea to let more people know, or at least remind them, if they planned to do the achievements later.
We'll have the option available when account management gets an overhaul. All cosmetics need proper preview options so you can see not only what they look like but also how they will appear on your profile. =)
Life was so much easier when we just had forum titles to deal with, lol.
What if we compare it to stone weaving. 1 mana grab a random landmark you can afford.
Sure it can be game winning but it's also a little clunky.
I think offering decks flexibility is good game design, but it comes at a cost.
Imagine if they created a 1 mana card that let you pick between vengeance, grasp, and withering like sure it would be strong but you're also paying an extra mana every time.

So after the initial community outrage and skepticism (me included), as a very casual F2P player I'm currently at level 111 and counting, and my gold income is certainly WAY above what I would make with the old system.
Without missing any quests it's quite easy to get very high on the the rewards track, especially after the changes to make the quetss easier to complete, I've actually missed a couple of weekly quests and a few more dailies, as long as you can reroll ones that don't suit you (except the ranked wins one) I assume anybody could get enough gold to make quite a sizeable purchase of packs without spending any money.
Side note - cosmetic changes are fine (and make it much easier to know if you're playing against another F2P player or not), but there are a while lot of those already, and while you can pretty easily know what class you're against by the hero power, I'm not sure it's very friendly to new players, now that each class has 3-4 skins and at least 2 characters. I've not kept up to date with all those cosmetics so I keep realizing there are more and more added all the time.
P.S. The fact I got more gold than every before doesn't mean I'll ever say no to MORE achievements, without (or preferably with) rewards.
I don't know I didn't play enough to even get my true rank yet, I am still getting 200+ for the wins, but I don't feel like playing so I am in 25% range...
Three Sisters may not be a balance issue today, but as a 1 mana burst spell, it's probably right on the border of a nerf. The framing on this thread is that this is that the 1 mana is a reasonable tax for its flexibility, but I think that misses a few things:
If your deck benefits from access to two or more of these spells, but doesn't need a lot of them, this flexibility can save you several deck slots to spend on other, more valuable cards
If your deck wants to have access to extra copies of one of these spells - perhaps because Flash Freeze is a great tool with Ashe - it can now do that with only a 1 mana penalty on the extra copies. (By contrast, Hearthstone prices this at 2 mana with Shadow Visions, and while MTG has no perfect corollary, it regularly prices this type of effect at around 2 mana - e.g. Doublecast.)
Three Sisters is burst speed, and two thirds of the spells it can generate are burst speed, so it's generally uninteractive
Again, not saying that it's breaking the game today, but it wouldn't take much for this card to be way too good.

Yeah, I think there should be some reminder for those who are not aware of this, since we got only two weeks to finish the achievements to get those XP.
Since you inquired, I reached the pinnacle of the rewards track 5 days ago (level 350) with the purchased Tavern pass. This is about 3 weeks before the next rewards track starts and the overall feeling I have is that it is both liberating and also feels bad.
The grind towards reaching the upper limit has ended and the downside is that no more XP is rewarded at all; so any time spent in HS now is purely for fun without additional reward whatsoever. Seeing the 0 XP gained notification after each game played is amusing to me. It is up to you to decide if the pure fun of playing HS is satisfying enough without the additional splash of XP accumulation (extra fun). I do not know for sure for myself… I just know the long grind is over and I am not going to grind it out another time, unless there will be much more additional cosmetic rewards added to the track (not just gold).
Next to having fun, my main personal goal in HS is to obtain all the hero portraits and all the cardbacks that do not have a funky requirement. As for the hero portraits I still have some road ahead of me. I only have 3 classes above 1000 wins, the rest is very close though (850+ wins) except for Demon Hunter (100+ wins). As for the cardbacks, I miss a few handfuls, because I did not start playing HS since Beta (I only started playing regularly since Blackrock Mountain).
It would be nice if the rewards track would offer the old cardbacks which I still miss. I know people will be upset about it because they might think owning those means they are somehow more privileged or lose value otherwise. Being a collector myself, I think it is just strictly better to have more ways to achieve a full collection of cosmetics. Not everyone started playing HS since day 1 or went to each and every Blizzcon event (nor does anyone own a time machine). By the way, I do not really mind never getting those special event cardbacks, just the seasonal ones that required me to win a few ranked games. I am glad these are already reappearing in the shop once in awhile.
PS.: Unsure if this will be helpful advice or not; I finished a Duels run with 12 wins after I already cleared the rewards track and there is some XP to be collected still. I assume it will carry over to the next rewards track so I am not going to collect that XP right now.
EDIT: I expect to get quite a few downvotes for my cardbacks comment, so feel free to not disappoint me 😋
Blizzard believes the rewards track to 50 should no longer require event XP. (Event XP bonuses are gone)
We’ve heard your feedback: higher levels of the reward track just take too much XP to reach. We originally included event reward XP when calculating our intended cadence of rewards. We’ve rethought this and recognize that the rewards track should stand on its own and not require event XP bonuses, making rewards predictable and consistent across an expansion. We will still have in-game events, of course, but they will remain consistent with our existing approach to event rewards instead of rewarding bonus XP for the rewards track.
Fun fact about player greed: Nothing is ever good enough for some people. Even though pretty much everyone agrees that the reward track gives out significantly more gold than the old system, you still find something to complain about.
Also, they promised seasonal events that would add to the overall value of free stuff. I don't recall XP being mentioned specifically. If you're not happy with the free packs you got, please send them my way. I can always use more dust.

Hot Runeterra Decks from GiantSlayer's Fight Night - Standout Archetypes & Top 4 From Both Events
To add to Minuano28, we should notice something. This is a list of all decks from the top 4 players in the tournament.
There are 4 TF/Fizz decks there. Every player in the top 4 had TF/Fizz.
I wonder which deck is still too strong?

Currently level 250 on the battlepass, hope that it contributes to this called new reward.
I have 10k gold for next expansion and buying extra packs from old expansions so i can get the majority of wild cards.

That’s all fair. I’d add Wiggly Burblefish to the list alongside Fiora and TF.

New Shaman Spell - Chain Lightning (Rank 1)
Well if control shaman is a thing this might see play
New Neutral Minion - Mankrik
I don't know... maybe in zoo style deck it sees play...
New Neutral Minion - Blademaster Samuro
Interesting AOE, but needs specific synergies to be good.
New Neutral Minion - Spirit Healer
Pack filler
New Warlock Spell - Imp Swarm (Rank 1)
Probably doesn't make the cut. When it is good it is already easily removed

Well this confirm what most player have been saying :
- Lissandra is the most competitive champion from the expansion.
- Fiora and Twisted Fate have dodged the nerf hammer for far too long already.
- Reducing the health of Aphelios by 1 is pointless since he is part of the region that have the best protection spells in the game.
- Contrary to what some player have been suggesting, Shurima is not a overpowered region.
