  • New Neutral Minion - Blademaster Samuro

    Staff

I wasn't that impressed about the card before reading the comments and realizing how many classes have access to cheap(ish) buffs. Probably better than I first thought. At least Mage is crying in the corner though.

  • New Neutral Minion - Shadow Hunter Vol'jin

Interesting potential both as combo piece or removal, could fit into a lot of decks.

  • New Neutral Minion - Razormane Raider

Razormane Raider is surprisingly playable with Animated Broomstick - if you line your trades up right, he could clear an enemy and deal 5 to face. That's probably not enough to get this card to see play, but it's something.

  • New Neutral Minion - Mankrik

Lots of stats for the cost, and a little face damage - Mankrik is a great card that could slot into just about any deck.

  • New Neutral Minion - Peon

Much nostalgia as Peon finally becomes a card! Too bad it's just a worse Wandmaker. Frenzy is awkward at 3 health unless you're able to trigger it on the same turn.

  • New Neutral Minion - Blademaster Samuro

It doesn't take that much work to make Blademaster Samuro a very effective AOE. Seems like a great card for a lot of board-centric decks.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    You got it!

  • New Neutral Minion - Peon

Giving me Wandmaker vibes, but a bit worse.

  • New Neutral Minion - Spirit Healer

Actually dual-class Priest/Paladin? It needs certain spells and minions on board for a pretty small buff, won't see play imho.

  • New Neutral Minion - Shadow Hunter Vol'jin

Feels like a meme card, but maybe there will be one or two combo decks that want him. Also, depending on how many strong battlecries and frenzy effects are in the game, he might be a decent (albeit super greedy) value play. For example. you could bounce Ysera the Dreamer, potentailly swapping the 4/12 for an Emerald Drake and getting that battlecry again. If that's how he's most useful, then Shadow Hunter Vol'jin will probably be a bit too greedy to be played much.

  • New Neutral Minion - Spirit Healer

Not really fan of this card. Similar to Lightsteed as others already pointed.

  • New Warlock Spell - Imp Swarm (Rank 1)

Looks like a zoolock card, if you can cut a card for it, but not really sure.

  • New Warlock Spell - Imp Swarm (Rank 1)

[Hearthstone Card (Imp Swarm) Not Found] is solid reload for a Zoo deck, but these imps die easily to most classes' AOE - even after rotation (e.g. Immolation Aura, Consecration, Holy Nova, Lightning Storm). That doesn't mean it's a bad card, but might be a little underwhelming against any control deck. It's really going to depend on what synergies are out there.

  • New Neutral Minion - Razormane Raider

    Good Arena pick? Idk

  • Fun at the Crossroads

and you have to go to the actual card pages not the discussion threads (aka click on the card itself)

  • New Shaman Spell - Chain Lightning (Rank 1)

Solid tempo card that synergizes with Bru'kan - seems great.

  • New Shaman Minion - Bru'kan

Bru'kan is clearly super powerful, and between him and Imprisoned Phoenix you might be able to set up some crazy OTK turns for Shaman if they get the right Nature spells. That said, the only Nature face damage in the Core set is Lightning Bolt, so even with 2x Phoenix in play, you're only looking at 20 damage max burst with that combo (though there are some ways you could probably eke out another 6 damage with Rune Dagger and 2x Novice Zapper). Ultimately Bru'kan is probably better as a way to burst down/finish your opponent after solid midrange play.

  • Use or keep wildcards and shards?

Craft decks, not cards with shards and wildcards. Here's a good list of strong decks: https://lor.mobalytics.gg/meta-tier-list Updated with every patch.

I recommend Endure Aggro, Freljord Overwhelm, Pirate Aggro and Discard Aggro, they are very easy to win with and also very strong. Compared to Hearthstone, Control or Combo decks in this game are much harder to pilot because of alternating action, reading the opponent's hand, more punishing counterplay, etc. so I don't recommend them for your first month of playing the game.

The Shurima expansion releases tomorrow. Most decks won't be much affected by this though, there are no new Bilgewater burn cards for example. You might not play the newest archetypes, but in my opinion go now and craft a good deck.

  • New Neutral Minion - Shadow Hunter Vol'jin

Couldn´t make this card work yet, more like fun card, than competetive.

  • New Shaman Spell - Chain Lightning (Rank 1)

Could be amazing with the new shamy legendary.

  • New Shaman Minion - Bru'kan

I like this card, we´ll see if it gets more support to make it viable. I´d use this if I open it, but not gonna craft.

  • New Druid Minion - Druid of the Plains

    Quote From Brandon

Great card. Druid needed some HARD removal, even though hard removal is something that supposed to be druids weakness. It's also a beast, so it can get ressurected by N'Zoth, God of the Deep. Druid of the Plains kinda reminds me of Siamat, it's great removal and pretty flexible. (For multiple druid decks.)

It gets transformed into 6/7 Taunt. So N'zoth will summon that, unless it dies without Frenzy getting triggered. 6/7 Taunt is nice to get with N'zoth, but it would be better to get the 7/6 Rush that transforms. You could make some trades on your N'zoth turn.

  • New Hunter Minion - Sunscale Raptor

I like this card, maybe good for aggro Hunter too?

  • LeBlanc Champion Reveal and New Noxus Cards for Runeterra's Empires of the Ascended Expansion

My comment from the LeBlanc card page:

Everyone seems to be very negative about this card. But this is just smoke and mirrors and Riot has everyone fooled.

In fact I think this champion is the most cunning and most innovative Champion in all of LoR so far. The LeBlanc Champion is NOT the LeBlanc card. LeBlanc's level up is NOT giving damage, it is acquiring Reputation. Once you have 4 reputation you can use the support cards - in particular Black Rose Spy. This card is the real LeBlanc. This is why Black Rose Spy can copy a Champion because it is a Champion.

For example - play LeBlanc and attack for 5. Whether it is blocked is no matter. Next turn you block with it for 5 (10 so far) and it probably dies. or it dies to Mystic shot, or avalanche or something. But if you now have 4 reputation, you can play Black rose spy to resummon an Exact copy of LeBlanc, including its level up count. Continue like this until you get 30 damage (Noxus has alot of burn), and mirror image comes on line to summon multiple LeBlancs. Black rose spy can also copy any champion because LeBlanc can be anybody.

Read the reddit posts, once you get it, you will see how innovative and in keeping with the lore it is!

Check out the Level 1 and level 2 LeBlanc artworks - you can see in the reflection that everybody is LeBlanc...

It doesn't really matter if this is supposed to be Canon, but as an interesting way to play with the card, this is how I would do it.

  • New Neutral Minion - Mankrik

Probably a good card for decks you draw a lot. Maybe too for decks who interact with cards that didnt start in the deck.
