If you are going to generate random cards, random spells is probably the best way to go. Class cards are generally more powerful than neutral cards, and spells are more likely to have an instant effect making random spells easier to utilize. Whether this card is played or not really just depends on how easy it is to trigger frenzy.
Unless there is some good Frenzy synergy, this will likely never see play. This is just Rush, only random and requires extra steps to pull off. You would be better off running almost any other removal spell.
Battlegrounds minion in constructed? 😱This will technically keep attacking till it's dead or until no more enemy minions on board, much like Deathwing, Mad Aspect
I kind of like the idea of a dinosaur Pogo-Hopper for hunter, but in reality it just isn't going to work out.
Obviously, this is much more of a meme-y strategy, but even for a meme deck this will just be too slow and inconsistent to be played. There are simply too many hoops to jump through.
You have to draw a raptor, then damage it and have it survive, then rinse and repeat. The problem is that hunter is bad at drawing, and doesn't really have any way to "ping" the raptors to consistently trigger the frenzy. And even then each raptor is only going to shuffle in 1 raptor, meaning that you will never be able to multiply your raptors and get 50 of them shoved into your deck.
Maybe with Dire Frenzy and a ton of draw you could get this to work, but even if you do manage to pull it off, the reward isn't even that significant.
I would not be able to select the best cards because I don't know what's in upcoming expansions and have no idea what the meta will be like. The whole point of the Core set is that it complements the current expansions. However, as I mentioned above, Primal Talismans might be a good fit because Totem Shaman is already pretty decent. If that archetype remains playable after rotation, it would be enhanced by having more totem support in Core.
What Core is not, is an excuse to bring stuff back just because you used to enjoy playing it.
Being able to answer your opponent is one thing I think really sets this game above HS. I've played too many HS games where I can't do anything but sit back and watch the opponent destroy me. Maybe I'm not a good player, but the give-and-take of LoR feels superior to me.
This card can represent infinite value for hunter, which hasn't been seen before for the class. This card would likely survive on turn 1 with 3 health, so there's a high chance you'll get good value
For example, any card that significantly warped the meta during its original run would not be a good choice for Core. We already spent two years seeing such cards shape the game, so it's not exactly fresh or even interesting to bring them back. Examples would be Justicar Trueheart, King's Elekk, Anyfin Can Happen, Unstable Portal, Patches the Pirate.
Cards that should come back are the ones that seemed interesting but saw little play because they didn't really fit the meta or didn't receive enough support in the expansions. These would be cards like Moorabi, Frost Giant, or Primal Talismans. In some cases, they may need a buff (because they were honestly just bad), but some (like Primal Talismans) would actually be a lot stronger now than they originally were, simply because the environment is more suitable.
Priest should have enough cheap "miracle" type spells to trigger this plenty of times. However, the health buff may not be significant enough for this to be played.
I have a hard time seeing a world in which a 6/7 Taunt that deals 7 damage to a minion isn't a great card. It's basically Siamat but with an extra keyword.
It is difficult to judge this cards power level since we don't know exactly which spells will be "nature". But I imagine in general a lot of Shaman spells will be nature spells which should make this pretty powerful.
I am guessing that when you play him, his wife gets shuffled into your deck, and when you play her something epic happens. Should be fun but in general shuffling cards into your deck hasn't been a reliable strategy.
*edit* Now I see what he shuffles in I think this is actually a pretty decent card. It is cast when drawn and actually has a fairly big impact on the board when you draw it. I imagine this could be played in a midrange deck that doesn't mind a vanilla 3-drop but would also be very happy with the extra push later on.

Yep. Think of the Core set as the Basic/Classic set and the Legacy set as the Hall of Fame.
New Neutral Minion - Peon
I thought Dean said they were doing less card generation in one of his Q&As? Regardless.... Something me doing?

Ah ha ha ha haa . . . Radiance.

Was actually very expected. Everyone said how broken and unfun it could be on turn 4 or 5.

Reminiscent of Lightsteed but too early to judge till we know the range of holy spells

Renekton looks badass, but some of his support cards look pretty wicked. Quicksand seems brutal at burst speed.

Very nice to see a neutral handbuff option for all classes in the core set. The more viable archetypes the better.

New Druid Minion - Druid of the Plains
Will be better in arena than constructed, but it's pretty mediocre

Need to see what the nature spells will be, I'm assuming Earth Shock will be a nature spell, that's obvious enough. Maybe Tidal Wave too?
