So Research Project except your opponent will have 2 dead cards in hand for 1 turn. I'm not sure about this one. In frost DK it probably wont see play, because they have better draw options.
In Rainbow DK it might see play. Why? Because of the Helya Plague package. This makes it so your opponent draws more cards, and thus draw the plagues faster, which can help you win the game. Seems pretty decent there.
Hmm. Unholy and Frost wont run this. Blood probably won't run this either, because they already have a lot of good tools. However Rainbow DK will probably run this, because they need some more corpse spenders.
Seems interesting for double unholy decks, triple unholy probably wont run it since it cares more about setting up a board and win the game with Grave Strength. Seems meh to me, if this was a 1 unholy rune card though.. Then it would have been so much better.
My guess would be that the surprise is an event with pack rewards, based on:
timing: the Ulduar Grand Championship event will run from August 3rd to 22nd, which means that in September they'll have space for another event
one of the criticisms that Twist got is that a lot of Standard players dusted their cards on rotation and weren't able to participate without investing a lot into a mode that is only temporarily available
A different way to address the second point would be to grant people temporary copies of eligible non-Standard cards, similar to the Core Set. However, that would make it harder to sell battle-ready decks at full price, so I don't expect them to go that route.
They most likely want all the focus to be on the new Titans expansion for Standard for about a month. Also re-releasing Twist a month into the expansion gives players something new to do once the Standard meta has settled down.
Blizzard like spacing out their content like this, happens in every game. They started doing this after K&C where they had released Dungeon Runs and the expansion at the same time. Everyone was more interested in the Dungeon Runs so the expansion took a back seat.
What kind of "preparation for the formal launch" do they need to do that requires shutting it down for month? It doesn't make sense, they have all the technology in place, don't they? Unless their "fun surprise" is something REALLY different from your regular constructed format.
I can already expect at least 1 quest will require us to forge cards X number of times
For sure, let us hope the maximum number will not be enormous. I hope for 50 which is more than enough, but it will probably at least double this number if not even greater which would suck.
EDIT: You will need to forge 200 times to clear the entire achievement, so annoying!
From the way it's worded I'm pretty sure it will only ever repeat once. I wonder how broken it would be if it kept giving +3/+3 to a random minion in your hand and subtracting 3 armor until you didn't have any more.
Well, Warrior isn't lacking in ways to increase Attack (though usually at the expense of Health). I doubt it will be hard to get 8 Armor or so from a single attack.
It's just one of those things you have to accept and then make an effort not to think about ever again :D
At the time of the Cataclysm (if that was the first time we saw his visage, it was either then or in Ulduar I reckon), I suppose it 'made sense' for his visage to be a human, the same form his children, Nefarian and Onyxia, chose. The problem arose when they showed him pre-humanity in the same form. They could have made him some elf for lore accuracy but it's likely more important for him to be recognizable at any point in the timeline, hence why he's a human-before-humans-existed.
New Death Knight Spell - Down with the Ship
Very good card for Rainbow DK. It's quite dependant on the plague package being good, but i feel like it will see play regardless.
Hearthstone's New Beta Twist Format to Shut Down on August 1 - Returns at a Later Date
There is also the Wild-only update, which will contain new and updated cards. Should(hopefully) be about the same time as the re-release of Twist.
New Death Knight Spell - Frozen Over
So Research Project except your opponent will have 2 dead cards in hand for 1 turn. I'm not sure about this one. In frost DK it probably wont see play, because they have better draw options.

Hmm. Unholy and Frost wont run this. Blood probably won't run this either, because they already have a lot of good tools. However Rainbow DK will probably run this, because they need some more corpse spenders.
New Death Knight Spell - Northern Navigation
A nice spell tutor for DK, seems decent. DK Probably has better draw, but i still think it might be considered in Rainbow DK.
New Death Knight Weapon - Staff of the Primus
Seems interesting for double unholy decks, triple unholy probably wont run it since it cares more about setting up a board and win the game with Grave Strength. Seems meh to me, if this was a 1 unholy rune card though.. Then it would have been so much better.

swinkscalibur
Nice to meet you.
New Warrior Spell - Bellowing Flames
Well, one large minion and several smaller minions isn't too uncommon, and this looks like a very good card for dealing with that if you forge it.
New Warrior Minion - Steam Guardian
With cards like Thori'belore and Sunfury Champion, this could be very helpful.
New Warrior Weapon - Craftsman's Hammer
This looks like a great source of Armor gain. So long as your opponent doesn't play Rustrot Viper.
New Warrior Spell - Smelt
From the way it's worded I'm pretty sure it will only ever repeat once. I wonder how broken it would be if it kept giving +3/+3 to a random minion in your hand and subtracting 3 armor until you didn't have any more.
New Warrior Minion - Stoneskin Armorer
Hero Power and this on turn 5? There's probably better plays. Perhaps Bash instead of Hero Power if you have it?
New Warrior Minion - Minotauren
Well, Warrior isn't lacking in ways to increase Attack (though usually at the expense of Health). I doubt it will be hard to get 8 Armor or so from a single attack.
New Warrior Minion - Furious Furnace
Exists solely to attach to a big mech and kill three things at once. Maybe Wargear?
New Warrior Spell - Trial by Fire
Well, the best you can get is 1 5/5. Seems like a decent way of clearing a few minions depending on their Health. Probably not super amazing though.
New Warrior Minion - Minotauren
Kinda awful unless handbuffed
