I think this is the easiest way to update my progresses toward the golden/1k portraits.
Rogue (+50) - I haven't enjoyed the class since the beginning of the Year of the Phoenix; the only exception was Weapon Rogue with [Hearthstone Card (Self-Sharpening knife) Not Found], but Zephrys the Great is a hard counter.
Priest (+612) - I love the class: I find interesting and enjoyable meme decks too.
Hunter (+45) - Deathrattle Hunter is bad and Face Hunter is not very interesting...
Mage (+143) - Looks like I played a lot of No Minion Mage. I played some Elemental Mage too, but it's not as good as I'd wish.
Paladin (+65) - Murloc Paladin is not interesting, but Lothraxion the Redeemed awakened my desire to play the class and therefore I spent some time playing Standard Dude Paladin with decent success.
Shaman (+79) - Played a bit of Totem Shaman (good but very highrolly) and a lot of Highlander Shaman (very bad but cool). Just as last year I didn't touch Evolve Shaman, I won't do it this year either. Fuck Evolve.
Warrior (+44) - Menagerie Warrior and... that's it.
Warlock (+54) - I tried some ZooLock back in May, but since the nerf to Imprisoned Scrap Imp I have never touched the class.
We got DMF 2-3 weeks earlier than we should've (based on the old schedule), and Outland released April 7th. I'm fully expecting a late March expansion.
You cannot just delete cards from the game completely, there must be a way/mode to play them. Moreover, if you look at the current cards in Hall of Fame, most of them had become obsolete since they went there. I play Wild a lot and haven't seen 90% of them for a long time.
Options to balance evolve mechanic. - Make Boggspine Knuckles a Battlecry - Evolve can only affect active minions, not sleeping. - or Give evolve a 50/50 chance of success to a minion.
But I doubt Team 5 will do that. They will go with the easier option, raising mana cost.
EDIT. and Hall of Fame cards shouldn't be playable I think. Even in the Wild.
as far rogue is concerned the issue is due to the several low cost cards that allow board presence and easy recycling, Nerf is complicated: Foxy Fraud should increase cost, but this is not enough. Then I hope that finally Edwin will leave standard in next rotation.
idk, it doesn't seem that unlikely that the next expansion will launch in March when considering that Darkmoon Faire also launched a month earlier than usual.
Blizzconline is more towards the middle of February and not the end. I definitely expect them to be talking about the new year at the event and cards in some capacity (either the mini-set or the new full set) so it should make for an entertaining weekend.
I think moving the Knuckles to 6 mana will have a bigger effect than you expect. That's 1 extra turn when they aren't doing anything significant and you can either draw answers or develop the board, as well as giving you 1 extra mana to spend when responding to their first few waves. That helps out all decks, even if it won't make the difference every game.
Reducing its attack would certainly help too, though it isn't very helpful for decks that usually lose to the sudden massive board rather than the chip damage from the weapon. Then again, as Pezman said, not reducing the pirate to 0 mana is a big deal.
Thankfully Desert Hare, Mogu Fleshshaper and Hoard Pillager all rotate in a few months, so they only need to hit the deck hard enough to make it tolerable for a while.
In my view, taking into account that BlizzConline will take place at the end of February, I guess it will be by then when Blizzard will announce the next Hearthstone expansion along with all the news associated with the new year...
Remember that the next expansion is expected to be released in early March, so the dates coincide.
Boggspine Knuckles is really the only problematic card in Evolve Shaman. Nerfing Cagematch Custodian to 3 won't really help, so the weapon has to be the one that's hit. Either up its mana to 6, or reduce it to a 2/2 weapon. I'm more partial to the second one: a 5-mana 2/2 seems fair given how strong its effect is.
Rogue will (should!) probably be hit with nerfs too as a pre-emptive measure, similar to what they did with Dinotamer Brann. I don't know what they can target though, maybe Foxy Fraud?
The problem with nerfing Rogue and Shaman is that it'll give rise to DH again. Aggro and Soul DH are still lurking, albeit in weaker forms.
Reducing the attack even just to 3 would be a really solid fix: less damage from the weapon itself, and you can't play a Dread Corsair for free at the same time, but the card is still really good.

Druid (+225) - I crafted Ysera, Unleashed, Malfurion the Pestilent and Ultimate Infestation and jammed a lot of Jade Druid in Wild. I like the class: I wish I discovered it sooner.
Demon Hunter (+139) - lots of memes, never a top tier list. I'm currently playing Menagerie Demon Hunter with Zai, the Incredible for double N'Zoth, God of the Deep.

Duels are way too random for me. I tried at the beginning, but it seems like a huge money loss to play them on a regular basis.

It is funny that a 5-cost Evolve seems to be as problematic as a 1-cost Evolve. Something to be said about that.

Boggspine Knuckles needs to be a 6 cost weapon, with 3/2 statistics.
