  • Snowpocalypse

Well, if you have been hit really recently it may show up in the "Recent Snowball Throws" further up this page. Otherwise it might show up in the recent snow transactions in the Shop page. In any event you will only be able to see recent activity.

A neat idea, although it may be worth it to limit the copies if the card is too powerful.

    Hordaki
It doesn't feel too DH-y to me, but other than that, it seems fine.

    DavnanKillder
Nice usage of the Bazaar of Baghdad artwork. I would say that it's perhaps not very intuitive what options do what without seeing the Choice cards, but I suppose that's just par for Hearthstone. I like the card.

    Pokeniner
Simple, but a neat no-minion Druid card. I like it.

Definitely like the second version a lot better. Regarding the Hero Power, the "Passive Hero Power" text should be on its own line. You can swap the places of the Spell Damage and Windfury to fit into 3 lines of text. Getting it at the start of the game for 1 mana also seems SUPER strong.

I'd say the third version of summoning two Boom Bots is better to call back to the original Dr. Boom.

The wording is fine. If tribal decks are in the meta though, this might be too polarizing because it basically removes 90% of the minions that started in their deck. That said, it's also an 8 mana removal spell which is pretty weak and slow by itself.

So, is the size of LoR’s team appropriate, or are penny-pinchers in management keeping it too small? I would like to believe that a game as successful as this could handle basic balance changes, etc. around the holidays without overworking their employees

I don't think we know the size of the entire team, but Live Design, the group responsible for balance patches, is two people: Steve Rubin and Dave (I forget his last name). Steve mentions that he has other duties as well; I'm not sure about Dave.

If that sounds small, compare to Hearthstone who has no dedicated Live Design team and has to pull developers off other projects whenever they do a balance patch. Candidly, that's why when Hearthstone "balances" a card, they usually just make a popular card unplayable -- that doesn't take as much labor as tuning a card to be fair but still viable, or improving unpopular cards.

How do I know I have been hit by a snowball?

  • This is what would save the Arena format (So Obvious.)

IMHO, the biggest problem with Arena mode is the cost of entry. When I was playing HS daily, I never played Arena except when I was awarded a free token because I was afraid of going <3 wins and "losing value". Especially once I learned that there were 3rd party PC tools that helped other players optimize their draft picks (I was exclusively mobile at that time) -- if you're not going to go through the same effort, you're essentially playing handicapped.

I know they can't just make the mode entirely free and keep the same rewards, but it seems like they could do something to make it a more casual friendly.

Some of these designs look better than the actual final picks (at least IMO)

  • A Guide to Legends of Runeterra for Hearthstone Players

Just found this article. I think that it should be more visible and sticked in the site. It helps me a lot in my big backpack of doubts that I had whilst playing my first plays in Runeterra. Thanks a lot for it :)

  • This is what would save the Arena format (So Obvious.)

I think saving your deck would destroy any mode, cause why wouldn't you save your crazy deck?

a lot of 11~10 decks would go around the mode endlessly and other decks wouldn't get too far cause every other deck would be crazy..

people like to win they would just retire the deck at 11 wins just to farm wins and eventually it would devolve to that..

Casual arena would be interesting if the mode wasn't as desolated.

    Hi there,

    here is my first idea:

Not sure about the wording tough because the word Minion is in there 3 times. Any suggestions?

  • This is what would save the Arena format (So Obvious.)

I do think it would make sense for there to be a casual arena mode where you could enter for free and play without rewards, like they have with Duels. But I don't think being able to save your deck is a good idea. It defeats the purpose of arena.

Arena Hearthstone is an absolute clown fiesta right now with random generation determining who wins the match, people keeping their decks are the least of our worries right now.

    Fixed it for you.

    Thanks.

  • It's time for Hearthstone to have a new Format.

I would like to have a "Speed mode" or just the option to speed up the game in general. Especially the animations are all waaay to slow! You should have the option to set the animation speed to 2x, 3x or even 4x.

  • Legends of Runeterra Won't Be Balancing Cosmic Creation Cards Until February

Two months without a balance change is a bit too long. That being said, it doesn't bother me that much. Runeterra is not my only game in my catalog.

Or, just give the players option to create a custom play. (Like custom maps in warcraft 3)

If was any new Mode id love nothign more then this.

I made a concept for one, but looking back it's too much content for free without Team 5 being able to really monetize it.

I just clicked every single card, and it worked :) just 21 pages of clicking every card.. luckily most of them are the big high costed cards so at least that much is easy.

    Show Spoiler
most of them as far as I have seen is mostly about their art sadly they don't seem to include the clue into their card name so I can see how you didn't find them.. In hinsight if you do look for card art it's quite obvious once you do find them.

Thanks for all your feedback! I'm happy the general idea is so well received. Most of you thought it is too strong, though. So I've made another version that summons only 3 Boom Bots for four Mana. To be honest, I don't feel very comfortable with that so I've also made a 3 Mana summon 2 Boom Bots, which is better Tempo I think. I would be very grateful for some more thoughts about that problem.

DestroyerR: While I get your reasoning, I would still tune it down a bit. I suggest reducing the Armor gain to the usual 5 and somehow weaken the Hero Power a bit. It's either that or scrap the starts in hand effect. And you really need another name for the Hero Power.

Pokeniner: I like your idea, but the art looks a bit weird. I think you could make the buff +2/+2, so the effort is worth it.

Beemo: Your idea is close to something I've been planing to do for Demon Hunter for quite some time now. Two problems though: making it a minion makes the whole archetype quite inconsistent and you should try to design it in a way that keeps the card playable even if the requirement isn't met.

DavnanKillder: With my feedback for your Druid card in my mind, I have to say I like Shopping at the Bazaar way more. It's very versatile, it fits Burgle Rogue very well and it has lots of flavor. Nice work! One minor issue: I'm no native speaker, but shouldn't it be "Thug" with an H?

Hordaki: Looks okay but not terribly exciting.

Linkblade: Nice idea, but the power level is hard to evaluate. I think it's okay but it might scare people.

MenacingBagel: I don't think this would work very well since it's a minion. It's very cool art though, you should definitely save that up for another time. Giving permanent Spell Damage is something that you could attach to a weapon if you want to stick to the idea.

Ozymandias: I like the flavor and the idea of a no minions Demon Hunter. What bothers me though is that the card is straight out useless if there's a minion in your deck. The already existing cards of this type have at least some use if you don't fulfill the requirement.
