Wow, I didn't expect that Dinotamer Brann nerf at all. But it's all good, my golden copy of it is loving this. Looks like I'll get enough dust to craft two new legendaries. Thanks, devs!
So if I'm looking at the current XP requirements correctly, if you are lvl 45 with about 1/3 of the xp you need to get to level 46, then Congratulations! You will get to pick your lvl 50 rewards hero portrait tomorrow!
I do agree, missing Paladin does seem like an oversight. There is a lot of power in that class at the moment and it’s prevalence over the last 4-5 months is wearing thin
I received the Deal 2,000 damage to enemy minions in Battlegrounds weekly & luckily completed it during my 1st BG match of the day.
It was gut wrenching as I was in 5th of the last 5 & managed to tie against the leader then tied with 3rd place. I was at 5 health so the back to back ties were huge. I ended up as 3rd overall.
Good changes all around. I was very nervous all these battlegrounds antics were going to distract from standard nerfs, leaving us to wait weeks for changes.
I may entirely be alone in my dislike for Paladin but I admit I was hoping for something to slow them down. I haven't felt great about its power level for a while now but I don't pretend to be a professional in these matters. I just know that Libram/Pure Paladin decks have been very common ever since Scholomancy, and that they aren't all that positive an experience to face against.
Woohoo, triple crown! Hopefully now that I'm past finals I can be more active in giving feedback since I really appreciate getting it. Thanks everyone!
My take on these changes: With the 20% XP boost and the restored rewards during events, this system is now slightly more rewarding than the old one was. Also, with the hardest quests fixed and Brawls usable for quests, the game doesn’t require any more time than it used to.
Hearthstone has always been more expensive than most (not all) F2P Hans, but also less demanding than most about your time commitment. This is still true. The changes are real, but minor.
It’s perfectly valid to think the game is too greedy or expensive, but if you think that then you should have quit it years ago. The expense isn’t a flaw of the new system.
All pretty good changes. Killmox is still bad at +1/+1, though. His health needs to not scale up (and maybe start at 5 to compensate?) b/c he quickly becomes too hard to kill.
It's basically the Murozond the Infinite (one of my favorite cards ever) effect but based on what you played instead of your opponent's. It can be really strong in response to an opponent's board clears. One example of a powerful use: you play Kalecgos and a strong spell at 10 mana (let's say, Power of Creation). Then your opponent manages to clear everything. Now, you can play Toki, Time Manipulator and she will replay those two cards for free. You get a Kalecgos (without the battlecry, obviously), two random 6-cost minions, a 6/6, you have two mana left and, since you haven't played a spell yet, you can use a spell for free (because of Kalecgos). That's a big swing. It also fits with Toki's original gimmick (which was getting cards from the past) but, instead of adding them to your hand, you get them on the board immediately. Her stats are weaker than Murozond's because you have more control over the effect.
Amen! I'm also still waiting to see if achievements can be completed in Tavern Brawls: there's a lot of potential gain for us there, especially with the current Battle of the Bans one.
Should've just made all dailies 1000xp. I mean, that 100xp difference is about 15 minutes of play.
Of course, the real question would be is this really even necessary to have low rolled quests in the first place?
I completely agree. Round numbers like 1000 are much more satisfying, and it would be nice to decide to keep or chuck a quest based on what it requires, not its value.
I'm just going to say I love these changes. Yeah, Blizzard missed the mark BIG TIME with the rewards track, and even more so with how they communicated about it, but this is a big step in the right direction to making things better. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt (since they've given me the game I love so much), and see how things pan out.
Ok, the trolls are now welcome to jump in here and call me a boot-licking fanboy or whatever.
