I'm getting REALLY good arena results in this Expansion. I'm not much of an arena player but it's quickly becoming the perfect game mode for levelling up and getting packs, the worst arena I did was a 3-3 janky hunter and I got 12 wins with 2 classes already(Priest and Demon Hunter, they're both pretty strong).
Leaching poison got nerfed because blizzard hated control rogue with kingsbane except for their version of burgle rogue where you endlessly discover bullshit to win the game. Leaching poison got nerfed and next expansion they release spectral cutlass, which is complete hypocrisy.
And you know what happened with kingsbane after the nerf? it became even more degenerate aggro fodder. With pirates and weapon buffs and coldlights and you get what you deserve.
While the comparison with Spectral Cutlass is obvious, is isn't entirely fair because once you use weapon removal on the cutlass it is gone completely and the rogue has to start over again with a new one. So you can easily deal with it if you want to. That was not true with a lifesteal Kingsbane until DoD added Kobold Stickyfinger.
Drakkari Trickster was a perfectly fine counter to kingsbane rogue where they drew their entire deck to have just kingsbane at the end, and that came out in the same expansion. Not to mention when leeching poison got nerfed the meta was full of combo decks. Meaning endless sustain did not matter. Also, yeah weapon removal exists, guess what exists a second spectral cutlass which they all run.
First impression was good. The battle and genre is unique, the combat animation need a bit more visual. Like maybe make the slash or fight action bigger or with shake effect. Card Design is good. Battleground is a nice addition, but can be boring if for example, doing battle in the same lava map forever. We need more randomness in the map, to create the sense of strategy plays.
Score 7/10 But I still need to wait for more because this maybe Free to Play now, but it's hard to see it in this state. It could be heavily filled with microtransaction later. Who knows.
He is still Wild only, but I think I recall them mentioning him earlier this year before asking if there were any other cards we'd like to see added to Classic. So there is a bit of hope he will be made evergreen in April.

I don't see any hypocrisy in there, just a refinement of the original idea into one that can actually be countered.
Also, for the record, I don't think Blizzard 'hates' control rogue so much as the core class mechanics don't make any sense with the control archetype. Burgle rogue is not a control deck and never has been; it is a value-tempo deck that eats control for breakfast and only beats aggro by seizing board control early on and beating them up faster than they beat you up. OG Kingsbane rogue sticks out like a sore thumb as the only deck in rogue's history that can seriously be considered a control deck, because it reliably had both massive AoE and healing. I am a strong advocate of maintaining class identity so I just don't think rogue should have been allowed both of those things in a form that could not be countered, and that's coming from a rogue main!

Anyway, coming back to the original matter of whether Aldrachi Warblades need nerfing: I don't think they do. For one thing, DH is meant to have healing so @RavenSunHS's comparison to Leeching Poison isn't fair. The Warblades are also actually a kind of crappy weapon by themselves, so I think we should be targeting the cards that break them (I'm looking at you Il'gynoth). However, it is apparent they probably shouldn't be in the Basic set so we have to deal with ridiculous healing in DH until the end of days.
I'm not in favor of nerfing warrior, since I can't imagine it as being too strong to defeat. And it keeps aggro at bay.
But even I have to admit that sword eater is just too good a card not to be part of any warrior decks until it rotates. The only deck it doesnt naturally fit in at the moment is in bomb warrior, for obvious reasons.
Okay now that we have experience we can safely say that all the fears were not justified : not only no one ever will bring this in a competitive event, but also no one on the ladder.
The reason of this is this card is beyond terrible! The player that plays it will loose 90 % of the time. Literally any t10 is better. Even if you're in a situation where one of the effect could save you, you just have 20% to get it, and some other effect will instakill you.
In former years everybody got at least one pack from "choose-your-champion".
Seventeen bundles for US players (and only players that have not bought the bundles) seems like a very bad joke. Blizzard is really trying to push us to other games.
From time to time, when artists publish their process to create a certain card art, we highlight that with a specific post.
The thing is... most of the times we don't have access to such content with regular frequency.
I agree it's a shame and I agree we should get (and highlight) more of these, but if you know how to do it/how to look for the material, I think you should definitely apply and see what happens!
Warrior just got back? Warrior has been on the top of the meta for pretty much the entire year (maybe except some short periods like the Corsair Cache nerf before Scholomance release)

For LoR, I think that it would be cool to have articles on the lore communicated through the information in the card images, card flavor text, and LoL stories. For example, an Article on Swain and the Second Invasion of Ionia (although that event still isn't over). Maybe a better example would be the lore of the Lunari and Solari or Dragons.
Whizbang is still wild-only right? Meaning you're handicapped playing standard decks in the wild format. Or did they actually relent and let him be evergreen like he deserves?
I have only 'YoggChamp' left out of all Darkmoon achievements to complete. So if you encounter a Paladin with a secret up (which is most likely Oh My Yogg!) and either player is close to death, please cast a spell before the killing blow or the concede so there is a chance this fucking achievement triggers. :D
I respect that DH is an attacking and not just weapon class, but nerfing the card to 4 mana seems like it will banish it to Shadowflame/[Hearthstone Card (Blade Furry) Not Found] tier of uselessness. Regardless, the card needs some kind of alteration, but I don't know what exactly.
As for Overgrowth, I meant that, at 10 mana, perhaps the card should draw 2 cards instead of only 1 if the mana cost of Overgrowth is changed to 5. The card definitely should not be 5 mana that says "Gain two empty Mana Crystals. Draw two cards." Instead, I meant Excess Mana should draw 2 cards for a 5 mana Overgrowth specifically. If a 5-mana Overgrowth only draws 1 card off of Excess Mana, that might be what prevents the card from being playable; the decks would likely be super high-roll-y and your winrate would likely go hand-in-hand with whether or not you played a 5-mana Overgrowth on curve. Whereas, even if you didn't draw Overgrowth before turn 10, you could at least draw 2 cards for 5 mana.
I don't think aggro DH is the problem specifically, but aggro cards in general. 1-mana cards are unhealthy for a game because they incentivize fast play. Team 5 clearly likes the idea of pushing cheap, fast cards, so Hearthstone is only going to become more aggro-oriented over time. Cards like Acrobatics and Stiltstepper aren't necessarily the problem; rather, the fact that the cards that you can and want to play that have synergy with those cards is ultimately the problem. If you are happy to draw two 1-mana cards on turn 5+, that indicates that the game is rewarding low-cost cards too much. This problem is more about game design preference, and Team 5 clearly prefers aggro to be strong.
