  • I think I fixed Quest Hunter

    Quote From RandomGuy

It's still not Highlander Hunter so it's still probably bad. But here's a cleaned up version of your idea.

I don't think Adorable Infestation is any good. It's a horrible topdeck and doesn't help trading because almost all our stuff is at 1 health anyways.

I also haven't really been impressed by Kragg's performance overall, but maybe I'm just unlucky.

Vectus and Shu'ma are pretty slow and only work as win-more cards in my opinion.

I still hate TRacking, it always drops something important.

It won't stay after you refresh, I just tried this and had to concede because of shame.

  • New Shadow Isles Champion - Nocturne

Very confident (still could be wrong) that Ixtal will get lumped into Shurima. Also I am pretty sure Ivern is Ionia because he became what he is after killing a special tree. He and his group were originally from Freljord I think? but then he invaded Ionia, cut down a tree and as the price for doing so he became a being that cared about nature more than anything.

That or he became the tree he destroyed? I don't fully recall what the meaning behind the transformation was specifically.

  • New Shadow Isles Champion - Nocturne

Ivern isn't ionian, he is from ixtal I think like zyra, nidalee, rengar, qiyana.

I hope they won't make them ionian cause they are not really japan oriented or vastayan.

I wonder if they are gonna retcon nocturne into shadow isles or what they are gonna do when the go around updating him in league, he was on the list of champions that they were thinking of updating and put up a vote in the end fiddle and Voli won.

  • New Shadow Isles Champion - Nocturne

    Quote From DoubleSummon

I weill just state something not related to the card effect, Nocturne is NOT a shadow isles champion, it has no ties to the region, Nocturne, Evelynn,Fiddlesticks, tham kench are all demons they are essentially regionless

But Nocturne really fits shadow isles in the theme and mechanics (fearsome) and I doubt they would put him in demacia or something cause that's where he operates.. I had a disscussion before the taragon/bilgewater spoilers abotu where they would even put those regionless demons guess shadow isles.. since there are 7 shadow isles champions by lore anyway..

I am surprised by Lulu going into Ionia not cause Lulu can't be operating in Ionia it makes perfect sense.. but cause there are like 15 Ionian champions in league it's one of the bigger regions so using a none-native champion that early.. that being said they used both teemo and heimer really early too although both being from bandle city as well so they are kind of wild cards in terms of their placements.

I think a lot of champions that don't have a region are going to be slipped into ones that just fit thematically. Fiddlesticks for example will likely be a Shadow Isles character despite not being from there, and I am guessing that when Tristana shows up she will be Piltover. As for the Lulu thing, I believe it was more of a thematic thing, wanting champions to have interesting interactions together. For example Taric and Lulu fit well and that was something they were aiming for. They wanted someone who could match the support theme they were going into and not many of the current champions in Ionia are very fitting for a support focused build. Lillia is rather new and though I haven't played since before she was released I don't think she is a full on support, Ivern is a jungler and though he is rather support oriented he is sort of an enigma thematically.

  • Nocturne is the Newest Legends of Runeterra Shadow Isles Champion Coming in Call of the Mountain (5 New Cards Revealed!)

It's already a thing right now. I've played it a fair bit; did a 7 win standard gauntlet with it. This burst speed card will make it even better than it already is.

  • Nocturne is the Newest Legends of Runeterra Shadow Isles Champion Coming in Call of the Mountain (5 New Cards Revealed!)

Nocturne is going to need more Nightfall units before he's viable. Right now there are exactly 4 nightfall units in the game, giving a maximum of 12 of them in your deck. This includes Nocturne himself. And I'm not convinced that all three of the followers are even playable, so the actual number of Nightfall allies in deck will likely be smaller than 12, unless they have more Nightfall units that have not been revealed.

Side note: I really wish these game companies would stop using keywords that already exist in other games, but give them different meanings. Eternal has had a Nightfall mechanic in it for years, and it is nothing like this. Similarly, Eternal recently added a mechanic called Plunder to their game (after LoR already had Plunder) and it is not even remotely similar to LoR's Plunder. Sigh. There are a LOT of words in the English language. Can they not pick different ones?

  • The Felosophy Bundle - Get 2 Scholomance Legendaries, 10 Year of the Dragon Packs, and 10 Ashes of Outland Packs for $20

RNGesus smiled upon me with this bundle. Disciplinarian Gandling and Keymaster Alabaster were the Scholomance Legendary cards. The packs gave me Shadowjeweler Hanar and Vessina along with 6 epic cards and golden copies of BEEEES!!!, Ambush, Surging Tempest, Bladestorm, Dragon Breeder.

Very happy with that haul. Praise Yogg!

If you look for that cardback on your collection and read it's description it says "...or by purchasing it during the Scholomance Academy launch period". Now, I thought that period was already gone... lol

  • Tell me about the current state of Hearthstone - Good time to return?

    @Kaladin

Here are my thoughts on your points.

    1. Lack of card variety: Yeah I've felt that too in the last month or two, no matter how much they balance the game I feel like I've tried every card and strategy. However, with expansions coming every 2 months instead of 4, I think that this problem will be solved.

    2. Champions limiting deckbuilding: I would disagree with you for the most part, since many champions can be used in multiple decks and regions, but I do agree that they've missed the mark on a few of them. Nautilus and Maokai, for example, are forced together in a Deep deck and aren't really viable anywhere else (except Maokai in some ephemeral decks). Also, some champions don't serve as win conditions and act as just good followers (For example, Sejuani and Braum were together in a midrange deck that wasn't focused on leveling either of them up).

    3. Aggro being too good: I would disagree heavily with you here, since we've had multiple metas in which midrange is the most powerful and aggro decks aren't Tier 1. Although the game design might hypothetically make aggro powerful, riot always nerfs aggro when it's too good.

    4. No AoE: I agree with you completely here, the only viable low cost boardclear is withering wail and maybe Twisted Fate (although they both only deal 1 damage). I think this will be solved with future expansions though.

    5. No summoning Sickness: I don't think that missing out on tempo is that important in this game, especially since spell mana exists. Also, players often open attack, which makes summoning sickness irrelevant.

    6. Broken Cards (Unyielding Spirit): Unyielding Spirit was nerfed to fast speed, which I think makes it a more healthy card. I think that there are some broken cards, but riot generally nerfs them when they become problematic.

    7. Event Pass: I agree with you here, the event pass was annoying and made it feel like I had to play every day to complete it. Hopefully they make it take fewer games next time or reduce the first win of the day bonus (and scale back the total wins required to compensate). The missions were also poorly done.

    8. Cosmetics costing real money: I think that cosmetics have to cost real money, just so that riot makes enough money to keep the game going. I think that they could include a few cosmetics to buy with F2P currency if they wanted.

  • New Shadow Isles Spell - Risen Mists

Summoning blockers at burst speed is pretty powerful, this should hypothetically be similar to stunning a unit and dealing 2 to it. However, it isn't as good against Elusive or Overwhelm units, which is probably why Jury Rig isn't as good defensively as a stun card. The closest thing this card can be compared to is Jury Rig with Von Yip on board, which was a very powerful combo that can counter open attacks or allow you to summon units for the open attack without giving your opponent the chance to respond. All that being said, I think that this card would only be viable in a deck that also runs Mistwraith and/or Wraithcaller, which severely limits its use unless those cards become good enough to run in most SI decks.

Archwitch Willow & Star Student Stelina as the free legendaries. Not the legendaries i was hoping for, but I also got  Lucentbark, Shu'ma, Lady Vashj and Lady Liadrin from the packs. I'm very happy.

Damn, I was happy with Kargath from the packs (along with the legendary murloc that makes other murlocs cost 1) and Rattlegore as one of my Scholo ones (along with Mozaki, can't have everything 🤣) .... Now you've made me feel inferior 🤣

I still played through with KT in Druid and was able to pull a lot of stuff out.  YES it is slower with the cost going up from (0).  But it is still going to be used.  I have noticed though that there have been less Druids in the ladder and I am encountering more Hunter and Mage.  Anyone else?

  • Does Riot really have a plan for this game?

Honestly, if I have any complaint at all about LoR, it's quite the opposite of the OP. I would say the game is TOO balanced. What do I mean by that?

Basically this - when I play a session of, say, 5 games (I'm a casual player), I often don't see the same deck twice. The variance among the decks I come up against is absolutely massive. The result of this is that I don't really learn how to play against specific decks very well. Sometimes, I don't even have the slightest clue what my opponent's deck is even trying to do.

The variety in the meta is insanely huge. There must be upwards of 20-30 decks that are competitively viable, if not more. While it makes it quite hard for me to get a read on the "meta" and optimize my plays, this can only be interpreted as a good thing.
