Anything to do with the new Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me! A mini board clear that also puts two of these fragments in the deck to enable the other Fragment related cards or heal? Yes please!
Things like Self-Sharpening Sword and Doctor Krastinov make this card much more appealing. Depending on the weapon meta for Rogue and Warrior this is either really good or really bad.
As many have pointed out, it's probably best with Restless Mummy but I'm most excited to try and stick this on 3 and curve into Doctor Krastinov with a weapon equipped. Maybe in a Galakrond deck with Ritual Chopper to really curve out.
Art wise I feel they missed an opportunity here. If this is a reimagining of how Scholomance was in the past, perhaps the Lab Partner art should have been more similar to Lab Recruiter, to represent this minion in his younger, college days.

Good for Steeldancer shenanigans
New Mage & Rogue Spell - Potion of Illusion
Potential for big battlecry effects, or even a potential new Exodia combo (with a Coin in hand or Manasaber on board).

Nice card for shard synergy.

Gandling made me rate this card 5 stars under threat of punishment if I didn't.

Very flexible board damage with some delayed heal . Not as good, but not that bad either

A nice "combo" of Rogue's ability to damage or kill undamaged minions, and a Warrior's ability to Execute damaged minions.

Would this go into a Big Priest deck in Wild? I mean it could, but... what would you cut from it? And why are you still playing Big Priest?!
New Paladin & Warrior Spell - Shield of Honor
Oh good! Enrage Warrior is staying in the meta.
