Seems like a step backwards to me, the system of always a baseline 60 gold that can be made easier if you had no time/decks seemed much better personally.
I saw a thread about this a few days ago, but honestly I had not seen a single difference in my own quests. The only thing I really want done at this point is make the 100 gold quests, pack quests, and 80 gold challenge quests appear more often!
The only thing that intrigues me is how drawing cards is so easy for DH it can also feels like a trap. You see, with a bunch of cards in your hand, it may disrupt DH plays, because Outcast is limited only to the left or right-most card. Therefore make the middle card not activating it's Outcasts ability.
It depends what deck you play. I played Rez Priest with the Quest and finished it in two games. Priest is good because you have a lot of turns where you do nothing, and you can just hero power your full-health hero for free progress. Hunter will probably get it done pretty quick as well.
Thanks for doing this yet again. I'm really looking forward to this expansion, not only DH is coming strong but there are a lot of other cool things too, like Primes. I also like that they are treating things that were a huge deal back in the day more casually, like legendary spells and weapons (like the Mage and Warrior ones).
Just a note: minions that go Dormant DO NOT retain buffs, enchantments or any of the sort. When the minion awakens, it is a base copy of the minion.
If that's true, she could also be a way to remove Silence from a minion too. Say you have a Malygos in play and praying it sticks, doesn't get removed but gets Silenced. Use Maiev on your silenced Maly and just wait for him to come back online to pop off
Feel like Hunter Beast Decks are going to definitely be less aggressive and more burst/combo style. All the handbuffs, Scarlet Webweaver... lots of potential. I mean... Imagine buffing Zixor Prime up a bunch and having a 0 mana Tundra Rhino in hand thanks to the spider I mentioned. Summon three BIG bois and Rhino gives them Charge. DONE!
I got my first easy quest in a long time today, and re-rolled into another "easy" quest. Using my hero power 20 times for 50 gold. I have played about 10 matches today and still haven't completed this "easy" quest. I could have completed any of the "play 3 games with X classes" quests 3 times before completing this one "easy" quest.
I don't care and am not bitching. I just fail to see the logic in how using your hero power 20 times is considered a 50 gold easy quest
I would have left it alone. Yeah, you're more likely to get a "Difficult" quest than an Easy one, but that's what the reroll is for if you're that bothered. Is it so hard to play three games as one-of-three classes? It's way better than it used to be, when you had to win. I'll take the 60 gold you get now any day of the week.
Zixor says "Hello!" Some of the secrets this expansion are going to be nuts! I'm still not sure why Rogue got a Shaman flavored evolve secret. Bamboozled should have been something like "When a minion is attacked, summon a Dummy of equal stats as the new target."
Is that a sling that is targeted to my face ? but how exactly that shot buffs that beast ?
I really can't get some of the flavors that Team 5 chooses.
Yeah, flavor wise it is a little strange. But I guess since it's "scrap shot" the left over scrap metal from the sling shot is used to fashion armor and weaponry for the beast??? I'm really trying here..
At this point Handbuff Hunter must be the new archetype they're promoting right.
They had a few cards before that pushed for handbuffs in Hunter, but it was mostly a bad Gadgetzan archetype that didn't really get enough good cards and no support after. This time it looks like they are going all in on the archetype
At this point, why not let players decide what difficulty of quest to roll into? When you reroll a quest you should get an option for “easy” or “hard”. That way players can always choose what they want instead of blizzard guessing at their motivation
I have yet to touch the Summoner Hunter deck in Wild after the unnerfings. However, I plan on trying it out after April 7 if I open some of these. Get big minions through Spiteful, load up one or two of these and a Call of the Wild for a Zul'jin turn later! Could be fun!
With the beast hand buffing effects the Prime is pretty nasty! What is the WitchWood dragon for Hunter that never really saw play and doubles all stats in hand? Emeriss? Could be fun in Wild after some big buffs. There is also still that spider in Standard that reduces the cost of a beast in your hand by 5 too!
Might be used with Innervates and Coins too before playing your 7-drop. So quest druid + Licensed Adventurer maybe. But this is the most optimistic strategy of course.
Might have to test that out to see if it works. I remember a while back playing a game as Warrior and on turn 9 I did Coin into Omega Assembly and I only got to keep one of the three discovered mechs. However, in that case it may count as 9 mana again after I use the mana generated by the Coin. In this instance it might work as the cost reduction of the card happens prior to playing it and losing the temporary mana crystals
It's like playing two unnerfed Wild Growths in one card! Brilliant!
Real question: if you play this on ten mana will you get an Excess Mana? I'm always confused why Wild Growth is the only ramp card to give you one of those if you are on full mana already. It's not like it specifies that you get it if you are fully ramped when played.

In other words, players were getting a lot more gold we intended for them to have so we are fixing it so they use real money as they should

New Hunter Minion - Imprisoned Felmaw
I heard about the new Hunter Demons we were getting this expansion. Although I thought they were a class, not a card... Which is confusing.
(in before comment correcting me, that was just a joke)
New Hunter Spell - Scavenger's Ingenuity
Good lord this handbuff hunter is going to cause some headaches, I can already see it!!!

New Hunter Minion - Mok'Nathal Lion
It's like if you wanted to use Play Dead but pay a little more to also remove/damage something. I like it.

Could be really nice, could be better in Wild with cards like Charged Devilsaur.
New Druid Spell - Bogbeam

New Druid Minion - Imprisoned Satyr
I just think this is going to be too unreliable, yet super salt inducing for the players who you face when you pull off a big combo because of this.

I'd play this in a Token deck... maybe. Then again, maybe not.
